Man is an evolving being with many parts. Whatever part of us we choose to develop is the very part that increases in strength because that is where energy is been channeled to, the things around us are all products of energy and energy is brought about by focus. Whatever you focus on is what you give the power to develop. Bodybuilding is a perfect example. Whatever part of the body a bodybuilder focus on developing ,that is the part that receives energy and develops. If he chooses to train the arm,the arm becomes more developed and bigger than the other parts of the body. If he chooses to develop the upper parts of the body, the upper parts becomes bigger than the lower parts of the body. So then the same way the body has muscles that can be developed,that’s the same way the mind has muscles that needs to be developed. And to develop the power of the mind,you have to first develop the muscles of the mind through deliberate training, not just passive but along the lines of active effort . Some men have developed this department to a considerable degree, and it is possible that before long you can be able to exercise the power of your mind along the line of. other active functions in your field of career, businesses ,health, family, relationship and life in general. The muscles of the mind can be increased by properly directed practices. It is very important to take note of this that that which we are in the habit of referring to as the “strengthening of the Will” is in reality the training of the mind to recognize and absorb the Power Within. The Will is strong enough, it does not need strengthening, but the mind needs to be trained to receive and act upon the suggestions of the Will.
