Please which bank in Nigeria is paying that much interest? Is it a fixed deposit or what? Please enlighten me. I am interested |
Remi is a tsunami of disasters already. God help Nigeria |
Hello everyone. I have been seeking for PhD opportunities in USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and Germany all to no avail. Please, is it possible to be accepted for a second Masters in the USA? Aside the schooling route, please can anyone here in the USA assist me with employment route? I honestly want to japa out of Africa and would appreciate any effort |
I have done that before because of 70 Naira when I was in Nigeria (Maiduguri) The guy - a very good guy but always underpricing things just to underpay people of their wares especially when they couldn't sell anything and are desperate to get at least transport back home. On a particular day, we went to Monday market to shop and the incident above happened. I pleaded him to at least add 50 Naira since we know the price of the item but he refused and also forbad me from paying the man the 70 Naira he had cut down. After begging him and he finally refused, I gave the trader 100 Naira and left him. The guy never called me back and I also didn't. Honestly, you can't be in my space if you take advantage of people's difficulties, or cheat people. Imagine someone driving a nice car and negotiating with poor hawkers and roadside sellers- like are you okay? You cheat or deprive people of their dues, I kick you out of my space. Recently, at the end of Dr. Paul Enenche's program in an African City, a popcorn seller was going up and down shouting 'buy one and get one free', people rushed her and luckily for me, the popcorns were not so many. I stopped her from selling to the awoof-seekers, I paid her for each one and took all. You are driving a car worth millions and depriving a school child of her dues just because she couldn't sell all before the end of the program - she said the popcorns will spoil if kept overnight. |
It is so unreasonable to generalize women in Nigeria and to denigrate them in this manner. It's unfortunate that you will not be able or capable to equate a Nigerian woman's capacity and energy either financially, mentally or emotionally. You are so bitter towards them yet they are NOT the cause of your financial or energy inability to meet up with them. Please, your denigrating write-up against them do not change anything....... You dislike them because you don't have enough in whatever way to appeal to them for them to prolly compromise a little and align with you or to be in your class....... IT IS WHAT IT IS. And you think you made sense, OP? If you would be honest, all you listed do happen quite often if not a daily occurrence in Africa especially in Nigeria and Ghana......tribalism or racism also is a norm in these African nations here. You contribute for NHIS for say 7-15 years and probably went to hospital once or twice in this period only to be told that the NHIS doesn't cover the drugs in these African nations. What about the rampant reckless waste of human lives in Nigeria to an extent that it is even easier for a cockroach to go out and return alive than an average human being in Nigeria? A whole lot to mention but I am busy at the moment. Let me conclude by saying that I am 1000% sure that the life and achievements you have now because you entered USA would never ever have been had you being in Africa even if you were to be given 50 lifetimes in Africa especially in Nigeria or Ghana. |

Willy2025:I agree with you. I experienced similar thing last year. A woman comes to wash our bathhouses and loos weekly. She came on a particular day and asked if I can give her some food items and clothes with children shoes. Hmmm, regret of my life Luckily for her, I had just stocked the pantry a day before so I packed so many food items for her, a full bag of clothes (which I had packed with both acceptably-worn and new clothes that I normally send to remote villages with money every year end) and gave these things to her. After paying her for washing the bathrooms/loos, I still hired a taxi to take her with the things back home. Can you believe that the woman and her children never wore any of the things till the last time I allowed her into my home? I watched for like 2-3 months while she comes around to wash and saw that neither her nor her children wore the clothes. After that, I never allow her to come anymore even when she calls every Saturday.. |

I h8te to speak ill of leadership but honestly, this remi and Papa Tinubu are something else. Like how on earth could they be so grossly engrossed with being hosted at the Whitehouse and the UK King Charles while Nigeria is becoming a shame day by day? Are they in any way so small or inferior to feel that they can become popular, superior and relevant only when hosted by Economic Powers that be? It's unfortunate that they have no iota of shame about the horrible and awful state of the once-glorious Nigeria and the plight of her citizens on the international scene. What is it with the ostentatious show of galavanting from one economically powerful nation to another ?? Is that what Nigerians elected Papa Tinubu for![]() For those who insult contrarily opinionated people in this forum, kindly note that I won't be minding you because I am not against Papa Tinubu but requesting that he sits up and lead Nigeria if he can. |
Nozino:I was also surprised though the Faculty initially informed me that he had no funding at that time because he had 3 PhD students already in his lab. It was then I requested he help in recommending me to the external Scholarship body I was applying to. The University is Texas A&M. |
Please thanks a lot. My spouse and I can raise the block account funds. I will look into your advice and act. As for your 2nd paragraph, it is true. I would also like to add that in some ways, some Nigerians especially those in the youthful age (boys and girls) do not represent Nigeria well by their behaviours here and that kinda add to the already dislike for Nigerians except for the few who have have traveled outta Ghana before. Please, thanks a lot for your I put. I am grateful. Immatex: |
Trust your weekend is going fine. Please, I am of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent. Have been in Ghana since 2010 and permanently since 2016 but never fully accepted as a citizen and had been terribly discriminated against except for few who had ever travelled out of the country. Mind you, I am also married to a pure Ghanaian. Please Nairaland family, I am aging and cannot continue to stay and wail or lament anymore about my career (joblessness) so I need and want to move out of Ghana to Germany or USA. I have a first degree from Nigeria and M.Phil from University of Ghana. Strived so hard and got a PhD admission into a renowned University in USA in 2025 but without funding and deferred it to this year. Then reapplied for SLB FFTF funding and God willing, had the interview and performed excellently to a point, the interviewers said they were hoping to see me soon in US though final decision was not in their hands. Unfortunately, I got the greatest shock of my life yesterday to receive a rejection email from the SLB FFTF Fellowship. The most painful part is the fact that I had my offer of admission letters (both the first offer and the second offer after deferring the admission since last year to Fall 2026) submitted to them. This rejection email has crushed my Spirit that I haven't been myself since yesterday. Please and please, I need to relocate to Germany or USA either for studies or work especially through the Germany's Block Account. Please is there anyone here who could assist me with leads on getting a job upon arriving in Germany or lead to securing a Faculty (PhD Supervisor) in Germany ? I have been sending them (in Germany) cold emails all to no avail. I have also lost hope or belief in anything now and don't know what to do with life anyway because I have tried beyond my capability but all I know is that I cannot continue to live an unproductive life anymore. Please kindly guide or lead me if in the capacity to help. Thank you so much. |

How can Ibeyiome say this? I critically watched the video to be sure that it was not an AI generated voice over and apparently, it is not. Which Jesus hates the poor? Is it Jesus Christ the Resurrected Son of the Living and Most High God or another Jesus in his coven that he is referring to? Has he ever read Matthew 5:3, Matthew 11:5, Matthew 19:21, Luke 6:20, Luke 14:13, 18:22 where Jesus expressly showed His love or concern for the poor? 2nd CORINTHIANS chapter 8 verse 9 clearly tells that 'though Jesus Christ was rich or could be rich, yet He became poor so that through His poverty, we might become rich. I fear this Ibeyiome of a man. God have mercy on him. All these funny people will milk the members and then turn around to mock the poor who gave to their ministries tirelessly and foolishly. As for me henceforth, with what I saw Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche do for people in communities all the time especially the recent crusade held in Ghana where hundreds of thousands attended and he never took offering rather, he donated bags of rice and drugs to the participants, I will only channel my giving to Dunamis because he is the only Pastor giving endlessly to the community and the poor. Mind you I am not a Dunamis member but a Winner. |
Some things are better left unsaid |
Harriddon:This amount is nothing compared to the fees Ghanaians pay in the universities here. You Nigerians complain about bad government but you citizens are not even helping matters. If you are lamenting over this token, how then do you expect Nigeria government to put in proper infrastructure in universities? I paid almost 700,000 Naira equivalent (6600+ Cedis) for my first year MPhil in Science and about 655,000 Naira equivalent (6450+ cedis) in 2019-2021 as a Ghanaian citizen (half). How many universities in Nigeria charge this much for master of philosophy? So know this: Ghana government rips it's citizens to get money to put in amenities unlike Nigeria government that subsidizes everything for Nigerians yet Nigerians keep lamenting. Pay enough fees so that the university and the government will have money to put in amenities that make Nigerians rush schools in Ghana for nothing. |
Nigerians don't ever learn and are too noisy!!! Nigerians too should learn to be quiet, stop the online bragging. |
IT'S SUCH A PITY HOW SOME NIGERIANS THINK GHANA is ahead of them and lose their self-esteem before Ghanaians. Leave these uninformed Nigerians to be deceiving themselves that tomatoes are coming from Ghana. |
This news is completely a fake news. Ghana as a nation imports tomatoes from Burkina Faso and at the moment does not have enough to even meet demands and it's so expensive right now. Fake fake fake fake fake news with respect to that of Ghana |
You all are complaining about noise from Churches and I also do not like but can you compare the noise from the Churches to that of the mosques? Yet you can't complain because my muslim brothers will behead you even before you end the complain. Go to northern Nigeria and see if you won't run crazy..... The imams mount very tall pole with a loudspeaker on it to chant or recite koran all through from 9pm till 5am; this is apart from the noise of the daily 5x prayers. Such madness and wickedness yet no one can complain. But because Christians are meek, you all are here speaking against the Church as if they are the only ones constituting public disturbance. |
I had been privileged to have had the best and sound-minded employers and bosses since after high school not until very recently that I made the worst decision in my career. I took up an appointment to work in a former first lady's organization and that is where I ever got to experience the hell of heartless bosses/employers. |
?? Is that what Nigerians elected Papa Tinubu for
