This post is specially directed at Importers who haven been calling and requesting for more details on charges payable on 20", 40" containers and on vehicles imported through Port Autonome de Lome, (Lome Port, Togo)on TRANSIT to either to Nigeria or Ghana. Some importers also want to know the cost of TRANSIT DOCUMENTATION, OVERALL COST TO NIGERIA OR GHANA BORDER to enable them compare the cost to that of Cotonou in the case of Nigerian Importers and the Tema - Ghananian Importers. Also many are requesting for the cost value in Naira, Cedis, Euro, Pound Sterling or Dollar. For clarity of purpose and for you not to misconstrue or doubt our convertion rate, please kindly note that all our correspondence/transactions with you shall be strictly done in Franc CFA, the Togo legal tender and thereby put to rest the issue of conversion rate due to the well known fact that the exchange rate of Naira or Cedis to Franc CFA and Franc CFA to Euro, Pound Sterling or Dollar are not stable at both the Local and International Exchange Markets. Importers who intend to import their goods/vehicles through Lome Port, Togo should please provide us with these vital informations on time so as to enable us effectively monitor such goods/vehicle right from the duckyard to the Park on daily basis (Working Days). (a) Photocopies of Bill of Laden and Importers' Identification Card/International Passport. (b) Functioning Phone No. (24/7) Importers should feel free and import their goods/vehicles through Lome Port, Togo aas the meanace of Port Vandals (PORT RATS) are at the bearest minimal level in comparism to any other port in the West African sub-region. It is not a gain saying or that we are trying to discredit Cotonou Port for being too porious and that it is very valnurable to vandals and their naferious activities in vandalisation goods and vehicles accessories. It is just an annex of Nigerian Ports (Wharf/Apapa) in all its ramifications. The only excemption is the currency. To answer the questions generally, the cost is cheaper compared to what is obtainable in Cotonou. Call Laide Bankole today on +22891222400 or +22898236922. Thanks |
@ugoadudu, i will be very glad if you can give me your phone No. I don't post the price of cars/buses/trucks on Post on Nairaland. Thanks |
Please kindly bear with me, i cannot quote the prices of cars here due to the facts that i may not be able to defend some, as we all know that there are some factors that determines the cost of cars/trucks i.e. the exchange rate of Naira, market forces etc. I will so much appreciate it if you can send me a text message or call me on my lines, +22891222400 or +22898236922. Thank you and God bless. MACK TRAILER TRUCKS FOR SALE AT AFORDABLE PRICE.[/quote] |

You can either make a voice call or send me a text on my lines - +22891222400 or +22898236922 Thanks you for better understanding in this regards. |

The charges for vehicles on transit to Ghana from Lome, Togo is quite different from the one on transit to Nigeria. Togo/Ghana boarder is just about 13Km to Togo Port. Thanks |
I got some calls and text messages from Ghana in which they are asking for an important question and i will like to share their question with all my profile visitors on Nairaland - "How long does it takes to clear a car at Lome Port?" Please, for the information of the general public and the callers in particular, it takes a day or two to clear a car on Transit to the following countries, Ghana, Bukina Faso, Cote D'Ivoire while transit to Nigeria and Benin are done once in a week, that is on Saturdays. Thanks |
Thanks for your calls and sms, i will get across to you all |
@ Oxoplayah Pls kindly give a call, thanks |
