Real Madrid will have a women's team after agreeing a takeover of Primera Division side Deportivo Tacon.

Based in the Spanish capital, Tacon were promoted to the top flight last season and will train and play matches at Real's training ground next season.

Tacon will keep their name for the 2019-20 campaign, but the club will transition into being called Real Madrid in time for the 2020-21 season.

The deal was ratified at a Real board meeting on Tuesday.

City rivals Atletico Madrid are the Primera Division champions and have won the title for the last three seasons.

The announcement comes as the Women's World Cup takes place in France, with Spain suffering a last-16 defeat against holders the USA.

Midfielder Amr Warda has been sent home from the Africa Cup of Nations for disciplinary reasons by hosts Egypt.

The decision to remove Warda, who plays for Greek club PAOK, was announced on the day Egypt play DR Congo.

The Egypt Football Federation said he was withdrawn "to maintain discipline, commitment and concentration".

"Social media conversations between Warda and many women were released after Egypt's game against Zimbabwe," said BBC Arabic reporter Mohamed Qoutb.

The 25-year-old was used as a substitute in Friday's 1-0 win for Egypt, who are the favourites to win the tournament.

They face Congo in their second group game in Cairo.

A statement by the Egypt Football Federation on Twitter read: "The head of the Egyptian Football Federation, Hani Abu Reda, has decided to dismiss Amr Warda from the team's camp after consulting with the team's technical and administrative staff."

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The deal is worth £50m and the 21-year-old England Under-21 international is set to travel for a medical imminently before going on holiday.

United have offered Wan-Bissaka a long-term contract and wages of up to £80,000 a week.

He is on £10,000 a week at Selhurst Park, the lowest-paid player in Palace's first-team squad.

Wan-Bissaka, who has been on international duty this month at the European Under-21 Championship, joined Crystal Palace academy when he was 11 and made his first-team debut in 2018.

United would pay £45m up front, which would make him the Old Trafford club's fifth-biggest signing, behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel di Maria and Fred.

If the deal is completed, Wan-Bissaka will be United's second summer arrival, after 21-year-old Wales winger Daniel James joined from Swansea for £15m earlier in June.

Nigeria's players are in dispute with the country's football federation in the build-up to their Africa Cup of Nations match against Guinea.

None of the Super Eagles players has received allowances or a $10,000 bonus.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is hoping to prevent a strike before the match in Egypt on Wednesday.

"My player [Ahmed Musa] couldn't attend the press conference today because they have a very important meeting," said coach Gernot Rohr.

"I just hope the situation can be resolved so we can focus on what we have in front of us."

The squad was an hour late for training on Tuesday and have not ruled out taking further action.

The financially stricken NFF, which receives its funding from the government, has denied it was responsible for the delay in paying the players' bonuses.

The BBC understands that the team, which has been together since early June, had received verbal assurances that they would be paid before the tournament kicked off this month.
