PoliticsA Grassroots Leader by olowomedia(op): 7:27am On Apr 27
PRINCE STEPHEN OLUMIDE OGUNDEKO (EMPEROR OYEN): A GRASSROOTS LEADER FOR THE PEOPLE

Prince Stephen Olumide Ogundeko, widely known as *Emperor Oyen*, is a proud son of Sagamu whose life has been defined by service, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Remoland. Physically present and actively involved in both community and political activities across the region, he represents a new generation of leadership rooted in connection with the people.

Emperor Oyen’s political journey began at the grassroots level—where true leadership is built and tested. Between 1998 and 1999, he served as Assistant Party Financial Secretary for Ward 14, Constituency II, Sagamu Local Government, under the Alliance for Democracy (AD). This formative experience provided him with deep insight into party administration and, more importantly, a clear understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people. It laid the foundation for his inclusive, responsive, and people-centered leadership style.

Beyond politics, Prince Ogundeko has distinguished himself as a visionary community developer and a driving force behind impactful initiatives in Remoland. As a co-founder of the Prestige Friends Club Remo (PFCR), he played a key role in the conception and realization of the iconic Ita Oba Roundabout Monument. This landmark project stands not just as a structure, but as a powerful symbol of unity and shared identity among the people of Remo. Its unique design—featuring the tallest hand representing the revered Akarigbo, alongside other hands symbolizing the various towns—captures the spirit of harmony, inclusion, and collective heritage.

A progressive leader by nature and upbringing, Emperor Oyen continues to demonstrate a rare commitment to unity and development above partisan interests. He has consistently supported candidates across party lines, including during the recently concluded Ikenne/Remo North/Sagamu Federal Constituency bye-election. This approach reflects his belief that the growth and advancement of Remoland must always come first.

Prince Stephen Olumide Ogundeko is not just a political aspirant—he is a dependable leader, a community builder, and a unifying force. His track record speaks of dedication, his presence reflects accessibility, and his vision inspires hope for a greater Remoland.

PoliticsWho’s Double A? by olowomedia(op): 3:21pm On Apr 20
I have been hearing it everywhere I go. (DOUBLE A)

In the markets. At community meetings. In the WhatsApp groups that people forward to me thinking I have not seen them. In the conversations that happen when I arrive somewhere and the room already knows why I am there. In the messages from ward executives, youth leaders, traders and mothers who find my number and take the time to call.

Everyone is talking about Akinyemi Akinsanya Double A.

I want to be honest with you about what that means to me, and what it does not mean.

It does not mean the work is done. A constituency conversation, no matter how wide and warm it is, does not automatically become a mandate. That mandate will be given or withheld by the people and the process, and I respect that process deeply. If anything, it increases my responsibility to be worthy of what the people of Ikenne State Constituency are saying about this aspiration.

What it does mean is that something genuine is happening in these 10 wards. When the conversation about a candidate moves from the political class to the market women of Ikenne and Iperu from the youth leaders of Ogere to the community elders of Ilisan and Irolu from the APC ward executives to the ordinary residents who have never particularly enjoyed politics but find themselves paying attention now, that is not manufactured. That cannot be bought or engineered. It grows from something real.

And what is real in this case is this. The people of Ikenne State Constituency are ready for a different kind of representation. They are not looking for the most theatrical candidate. They are not looking for the most connected in the sense of connections they can feel but never access.

They are looking for someone who is genuinely from among them, who understands their wards from lived experience, who has built a record of service inside the governance architecture of this state and who comes to this aspiration with preparation rather than ambition alone.

I have been that person before the cameras came. I will be that person after the election season settles. That consistency is what I believe the people of Ikenne State Constituency are responding to when they talk about this campaign the way they are talking about it.

To every person who has mentioned my name in their ward, in their household, in their group, in their prayers.

Thank you.

You are not supporting a politician. You are supporting a movement that believes Ikenne State Constituency deserves the combination of a prepared representative and an activated constituency working together.

I intend to be worthy of that conservation.

Christianity EtcThe Sister Republics: A Synthesis Of Celestial Spirit And Terrestrial Science by olowomedia(op): 4:52pm On Apr 19
The Sister Republics: A Synthesis of Celestial Spirit and Terrestrial Science

The cosmos is a tapestry of intentionality, woven between the upward gaze toward Heaven and the grounded reality of Earth. When we speak of the celestial, our eyes naturally lift toward the sky, recognizing an ancient alignment where the supernatural and the atmospheric converge. Before the authority of the Divine took hold of the physical realm, the Earth lay in a shadowed gestation; formless, void, and silent. It was in this primordial state that the Spirit of God moved, hovering over the deep waters like a divine architect surveying a space before the first stone is laid.

Scientifically, this spiritual movement finds its echo in the violent, orbital birth of our planet. In its infancy, the Earth was indistinguishable from the barren spheres that drift through the vacuum of space, devoid of pulse or purpose. Yet, out of the infinite cold, this specific coordinate was chosen as the cradle for existence. God moved through the chaos, establishing an appointed time for every element to settle, culminating in the creation of a being fashioned after His own likeness. On the seventh day, the masterpiece was complete, but it was not merely the form that mattered, it was the infusion of the "breath of life."

This breath serves as the bridge where the spiritual and the biological intersect. Spiritually, we perceive it as the essence of the Divine engulfing the physical frame; scientifically, we recognize this vital force as oxygen, the invisible catalyst that allows the physical body to coexist within the delicate ecology of this world. There is a profound reason why the air thins and oxygen retreats the further we travel from the Earth’s surface; we were uniquely empowered and engineered for this atmosphere alone. Our physical bodies are tethered to this soil by design, requiring a specific, mature concentration of oxygen to sustain the miracle of life. To leave the Earth is to leave the environment we were built to inhabit.

However, our physical limitations do not define the extent of our reach. Though satellites and scientists have yet to map the full expanse of the cosmos, the "firmaments" described in Genesis suggest a reality that remains hidden from the physical eye. It may be that the thoughts and dreams we cultivate while growing are not mere fantasies, but previews of the heavenly realities we will inherit after death. Our limitation from day one has always been the physical body, a heavy suit of clay that acts as a temporary anchor.

Once the body surrenders, the spiritual entity is finally liberated, beginning a journey into a heavenly space that science can sense but never fully measure. In this light, the scientific explanation and the biblical illustration are not enemies; they are "sister republics." One charts the mechanics of the vessel, while the other maps the destination of the passenger. Ultimately, the physical body is a vessel that grows weary with the passing of seasons, but the breath of life that spark of the Spirit that first hovered over the waters does not diminish. When the body reaches its end, this divine essence simply departs, returning to the infinite source from which it was first given.

Mysterious truly is the work of Nature.

WHY EMPEROR OYEN?

The movement for better governance in Remo has found its true leader in Prince Stephen Olumide Ogundeko, popularly known as Emperor Oyen. His campaign for the Remo Federal Constituency seat is built on a simple promise: to put the people first. He believes that a seat in the House of Representatives is not about personal power, but about being a strong voice for the community and making sure the government works for everyone.

Emperor Oyen is dedicated to grassroots democracy. His goal is to break down the walls between the government and the governed, creating a system where every citizen is informed and involved. For the people of Remo North, Ikenne, and Shagamu, he offers a new kind of leadership that is easy to reach, honest, and hardworking. He does not just make campaign promises; he focuses on delivering good governance and real results.

We are at a point where our constituency needs a real change-maker. Emperor Oyen is the right choice to turn our hopes into action. By supporting his vision, we are choosing selfless service over "politics as usual." Let us stand together to bring a brighter future to Remo through leadership we can finally trust.

EASTER MONDAY GREETINGS TO THE FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN BRETHREN IN IKENNE/REMO NORTH/SAGAMU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

As we joyfully celebrate this blessed Easter Monday, I extend warm greetings to all our Christian brothers and sisters across Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu Federal Constituency. May this season bring you renewed hope, divine favour, and the abundance of God’s peace in your homes.

Easter reminds us of the powerful victory of our Lord Jesus Christ — His resurrection, His ascension, and the promise of His return. As the Scriptures say:

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” — Matthew 28:6

And again, after appearing to His disciples and giving them final instructions, “He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.” — Acts 1:9

Jesus also urged the disciples to gather in Galilee, a symbol of unity and obedience, reminding us that the strength of the Christian faith lies in coming together in love, harmony, and shared purpose.

In this spirit, I encourage all Christians in our Constituency to continue to be peace-loving, united, and community-minded people, reflecting the true character of Christ in our actions, relationships, and daily lives.

May this Easter renew your spirit, strengthen your faith, and usher greater blessings upon you and your families.

PoliticsEaster Monday Greetings To The Good People Of Ikenne State Constituency by olowomedia(op): 6:52am On Apr 06
On this blessed Easter Monday, I extend heartfelt greetings to all the good and God-fearing people of Ikenne State Constituency. May this season of renewal bring you joy, favour, and every good thing that Easter represents.

Easter Monday reminds us of the great hope we have in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ — a hope that strengthens our faith, shapes our character, and guides our journey as a people committed to progress and unity.

The Scripture affirms this glorious victory:
“He is not here; He has risen!” — Matthew 28:6
And after His resurrection, the Word records:
“After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.” — Mark 16:19

This powerful moment of Christ’s ascension calls us to reflect on the values of faith, obedience, peace, and purposeful gathering as believers — just as the disciples gathered in hope after His resurrection. As a community, may we continue to walk in togetherness and uphold peaceful coexistence in our wards, towns, and localities.

As we celebrate today, may the spirit of Easter inspire us to build a constituency where unity thrives, peace endures, and development becomes a shared commitment of all.

Wishing every household in Ikenne State Constituency a joyful, blessed, and fulfilling Easter Monday.

Through His example, we are called to embrace humility in our actions, show kindness to others, and dedicate ourselves to service that uplifts our communities.

This holy season encourages us to deepen our faith through prayer, fasting, and charity while strengthening the bonds of unity, forgiveness, and peace among ourselves. As we reflect on Christ’s humility, may we also renew our commitment to tolerance, understanding, and collective progress.

I pray that this Lenten season brings spiritual growth, renewed hope, and divine guidance to every home. May we continue to embody the virtues of love, humility, and sacrifice in all that we do.

Happy Sunday, and may God bless you,

Hon. Akinyemi Akinsanya (Double A)

PoliticsOur Scars by olowomedia(op): 4:45am On Feb 28
To think Africa is suffering the fist of poverty is to mention a few out of many kicks in the teeth we have received, per ratio, from the inundating events and pillars of travails surrounding the life of the larger percentage of the black race. These include bad governance, poor leadership, war and conflicts, displacement, slave trade, child trafficking, terrorism, etc.

It is not far from reality that as the light of wealth and comfort travels all around the continent of the world, it leaves the shores of Africa occupied by poverty and distress. It seems that every day, Africa hits the limelight of impossibility and loses out on every statistical probability of achieving comfort.

Africa wasn't predestinated to slouch into poverty. Maybe at this point, I should historically point out that before the establishment of St. Augustine, which was founded in September 1565 by Don Pedro, becoming the oldest city in the entirety of the United States of America, Egypt (Africa) had influenced world power. Maybe we've forgotten that Queen Sheba of Ethiopia, at a point in time, had more than enough to feed everyone in Luoyang, the oldest city in China.

Moreover, I should specifically state that over 300 African architects built the so-called White House. At independence, Singapore was assisted by Ghana, but today the gap between the two cannot be measured. Maybe China can explain, since 1971, how they have swindled Nigeria's timber, all in the name of bilateral trade that's one-sided.

Africa used to be a honeycomb until we categorically provoked the bees, and now the sting is unbearable. We are now servitude in our fatherland and still slaves in the sugarcane plantation where our forefathers once slaved. People walk from desert to desert, their integrity in tatters, to become impossible laborers and modern slaves in Western countries.

In the words of Sunday Labarot, after inhumanity was grossly dispensed in Libya, "it was as if we weren't human." They took our forefathers away from a land of gold to dig out coal, from cocoa plantations to sugarcane fields, and yet these saggy and baggy leaders see no reason to make this part of the world a better place.

Where is Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Kofi Annan, Julius Nyerere, Kagame? African leaders, by every means, have underdeveloped African states and given them bit by bit to poverty. Not until a new wave of revolution is set will there be any good, but corruption.

A change of perception is the sole and only cheapest way to a change of position...
