Dr Frederick Fasehun, founder of the pan-Yoruba group, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), has asked that more should be done to protect Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Osinbajo's life must not be joked with, beef up his security - Fasehun





Fasehun who made the call on Monday, March 13, said it is important to beef up security around the VP, stressing that his security should not be compromised.
Vanguard reports that the OPC leader expressed fear over the manner in which Osinbajo’s security was handled during his visit to Benin, Edo state recently.
He said the vice president’s security handlers should be more alert and alive to their responsibilities.

“Security lapses occurred during his visit to Benin, Edo State, when a young boy beat the cordon around His Excellency to steal a handshake from him. Viewed critically, the incident highlights a security breach a bomber could easily exploit.”
He made the observations at a press briefing he addressed on the state of the nation in Lagos.

“His handlers must take his personal security more seriously. Nothing must happen to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo. God forbid that he should be the object of any attack, it will spell doom for this country because then you can trust the Yorubas and the South West to make both the blood of the dogs and the baboons really, really bloody,” he said.
Recall that few months back, Fasehun said President Muhammadu Buhari represents the worst threat to Nigerian democracy.
He said: “Buhari has the trappings of an unrepentant dictator, ” and is not a converted democrat as claimed during the 2015 election campaign, The Punch reports.
The OPC founder was reacting to the recent crackdown on some judges by Department of State Services (DSS) over allegation of bribery.
Fasehun expressed worry that security operatives have not been following due process in their fight against corruption.

Lagos— A 40-year-old man, Oluwaseyi Owoeye, who allegedly lodged in a hotel and refused to defray N1.7 million accumulated bills, was, yesterday, charged before an Igbosere magistrate’s court in Lagos.
The prosecutor, Inspector Ingobo Emby, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence between November 2013 and March 2014.

The government of Iran had retaliated to the revised ban by the US government on the Iranian citizens.
Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said in Tehran on Tuesday that the Iranian government of the country will not grant visas to US citizens if the US does not give visas to their citizens.
Takht-Ravanchi said: “the new executive order is also worthless from a judicial point of view.
“As long as Iranians were barred from entering the U.S., U.S. citizens would be barred from entering Iran; as soon as the U.S. lifts the ban, as it was forced to do at the end of February, Iran would respond in kind.”
He had defended his coutry by saying the coutry had never been in any terrorist attack on the US.

A young JSS 2 female student of the Community Secondary School, Adazi-Ani, in the Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, was sent out of school and was later killed by a truck on the highway. Brake failure had caused the loss of control of the truck.
An eyewitness, Mr. Abuchi Okwara, told our correspondent that the JSS2 pupil, whose name was given as Chinyere, was  sent out by the school’ s authorities.

“They were three that were sent out of the school for not paying their school fees. But Chinyere was the one that was killed by the truck.

“The incident took place at about 9am near the school.

“It was while they were heading home that she was killed while others escaped by a whisker. The vehicle sever her head from her body,” Okwara said.

Calls and text message to the school’s principal, Mrs Edith Mojeke, were neither picked nor replied to.

The mobile phone of the Commissioner for Education in the state, Prof. Kate Omenugha, rang out.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Nkeiru Nwode, said, “Our men are on ground and they know what to do.”

A Yoruba elder statesman has called for urgent restructuring of the country, insisting that Nigeria will likely collapse if steps are not taking to restructure

- Adebanjo also claimed that some radical Yoruba people had already drawn up the map of Oduduwa republic

- He also noted that the Yoruba people cannot be suppressed from demanding for Yoruba Republic for long unless restructuring takes place

Chief Ayo Adebanjo, a leading Yoruba elder statesman has called for the restructuring of Nigeria as a matter of urgency because all factors in the country point to disintegration.

According to him, the Yoruba nation is ready to break away because some radicals among them has gone far to the extent of drawing a map of the proposed Oduduwa republic.

With effect from this year ( 2017) , candidates awaiting results would no longer be eligible to apply for the Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, said in Abuja on Tuesday.
The organisation also said it had concluded all r estructuring and reforms and is now set to commence the sale of its application document in March .
The restructuring exercise will now allow for only one choice of public university in which new registration platform will now be first choice, second choice, third choice and fourth choice and not most preferred, preferred choice.
A statement by the spokesperson of JAMB , Dr . Fabian Benjamin, said the agency had taken time to add value to the services it have been offering to Nigerians for over three decades .
According to him , the restructuring was aimed at expanding the opportunities available to candidates since almost all the public universities do not consider candidates on the second choice list because they hardly exhaust their first choice .
He said , “ We have designed a Central Admissions Processing System where the Board will interface with the institutions and ensure the compliance of this reform . The summary is that no candidate will be admitted with awaiting result. Candidates and their parents are also to note that JAMB has restructured the registration platform to allow for only one choice of public university. The new registration platform will now be first choice , second choice, third choice and fourth choice and not most preferred, preferred etc as it was .
“ C andidates’ first choice can be a College, University , Innovative Enterprises Institutions or Polytechnic /
Monotechnic. However , if a candidate makes a Public University his first choice, he will not have any public University to choose for second , third and fourth choice. He will have on the remaining three choices , a College, Polytechnic , Private University and IEI ’ S . However , candidates for the 2017 UTME can now select National Certificate in Education ( College) or National Diploma ( Polytechnic /Monotechnic) as their first choice up to third choice and the fourth IEI . They can select the IEI ( Innovative Enterprise Institution , ND ) as their first choice up to the fourth choice, b ut can only pick a public university once . ”

A lecturer in the department of English at Ibrahim Babangida University has been terribly humiliated by some set of students. The embarrassment was as a result of his bizarre craze for women. 

He had reportedly been failing a female student on ENG 201 because she refused him sex. 

The frustrated student opened up to her boyfriend, who came up with an idea to ridicle the lecturer. 

On the day the man was to come into the girls house, the boyfriend and some lf his friends hid in the toilet. After the man undressed,the students came out ogf the toilet and gave the man who is fifty years old a mop to wash the toilet and the parlour. His nude pictures were taken and it has sinve then gone viral. 

His department has taken it up to have him face the institution's panel.

Students have had him reported for sexual harassment, but nothing could be done as there was no evidence to nail him.

Reacting,  an alumni of the University and dept has claimed he had on previous occasions advised him to marry and stop flirting with young girls. 


I hope this  kind of lecturers are caught and punished accordingly.

1 - Know the kind of dinner party it is( Either English or Traditional)
2 - Get the perfect outfit.
3 - Dress down
4 - Dress casual and smart.

The above sounds simple, but they go a long way in making that perfect dinner party dream a reality.

Let's talk about the ladies first. Ladies first, right?  Lol.

FEMALES: Had it been the 19th and 20th century, the dress code is defined, just a small black dress on awesome heels. But now, things have changed, and innovations have been made.
But after being invited to a dinner party, it possible to be at a cross road on the right dress. You wouldn't want to underdress, to avoid offending watching eyes(especially if you are single), and you would also not want to overdress so that the host won't think you are stealing the spotlight.
So what to do? Its simple, simply contact the host and ask about the class and calibre of people that will be there and how official the party is. It might be just a friendly get together as such or a really official one.
And on the dress, make it a gown. Either long or short, with the right heels and purse. You wouldn't want to go in skirt and blouse.
If it is traditional, still put on a gown.

MALES: Well unlike women,the stress shouldn't be much, a good suit is just enough. It might be black or any other colour. You can also choose to dress casual(that depends on the calibre).

A good bow tie, with a matching pocket handkerchief  is just perfect. 

COUPLE: Well, that you are a couple doesn't mean your dinner dresses have to say so, it doesn't have to be a matching colour.

A nurse at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, was sacked all because she talked to patients about the Christian religion.
The nurse who goes by the name Sarah Kuteh was said to have been warned severally by the hospital management. But she continued saying it was part of her job to tell the people more about the religion since she needed to help the patients fill the questionnaire that usually asks about religion.
According to reports, she is not going to accept the 'injustice ',as she, with the help of the Christian legal centre will be takimg Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust to the tribunals for unfair dismissal.
