Why are people surprised
It was on record in the build up to 2023 elections that when he went to Rivers to campaign with the then Governor of the State HE Wike, he publicly said that " the people of Rivers State should vote for him for presidency and leave the State for Wike" throwing is own political party governorship contestant in same election under the bus..
Very selfish person.
Please whoever have the video of the campaign should post it here for all to see. |

Politics › Re: Katsina ADC: Court Says It Lacks Jurisdiction Over Party Affairs by oluDharay(m): 8:36pm On Apr 15 |
fergie001: Political parties are bound by their constitution. Also, they have internal resolutions mechanisms to settle disputes which must firstly be explored on all matters as long as it doesn't infringe on the Electoral Act ipso facto.
Now, in general term, Our courts have always maintained that internal governance of a political party is not justiciable. Once it has to do with leadership issues within a political party, the Court has no business with it. If your internal mechanisms cannot solve it for you, the Courts also will not except via a narrow line.
A political party is a voluntary organization and it is supreme over it own affairs. A political party is entitled in law to decide for itself what rules it wants to bind its members, and a court cannot tell a party how that party is to be organized or administered. if a member of a party does not like any decision of the party it is open to such a member to resign. (Balarabe Musa v Peoples Redemption Party) Supreme Court Judgement in 1981
To answer these questions directly, someone comes in and takes your position. First question - Was it done with the consent of NWC or NEC? Second question - Was it done in a democratic manner where majority of members of NEC or NWC were in support? Third question - Were your fundamental rights infringed upon? Fourth question - Was the 1999 Constitution or Electoral Act violated?
If 1 & 2 is Yes and 3 & 4 is No, then you apply the internal resolutions mechanisms of the Party, if they cannot help you, no Court can help you.
Even if all of these is No, the Court cannot reinstate you but can only say the process leading to your ouster was faulty. Courts cannot under any circumstances determine the leadership or membership of a political party. Thank you |

Mitsurugi: If the majority don't like you again and you can't take it, go to another party. If you can take it, stay and build your way back by persuasion and victories. Make yourself admirable and desirable. To lead is not by force and freedom of association is sacrosanct. Thanks for the input sir. But sir, are you saying the party constitution should be disregard in this case..? |
Politics › Re: Katsina ADC: Court Says It Lacks Jurisdiction Over Party Affairs by oluDharay(m): 2:01pm On Apr 15 |
Borrow2222: Good question.
Political parties have internal dispute resolution mechanisms, so you’ll need to channel your grievances to the appropriate authority within the party.
They’ll resolve the issues internally.
And remember, it is a political party the majority carries the day. Thanks for your input. But sir, if I fail to get justice, due to personal interests of some people, don't you think this can lead to chaos in the party and causing factions like we all are seeing in our political world. You also said "Majority carries the vote" what is the purpose of the party constitution if it cannot be strictly adhere to? 😕 |

fergie001: An over-flogged issue, Supreme Court will be there trying how to de-link the ADC and PDP issues to save their starboy.
What Omotosho did in October, what Abdulmalik did in March, that's what Nwite is trying to draw attention to himself, Oya nah! Good afternoon Mr Fergie001 My question is, if the courts have no jurisdiction on internal disputes in a party, how does an aggrieved party member get justice when cheated? Say for example, I am currently a chieftain/hold a post in a party, and then someone somewhere came to claimed that I am not supposed to be in such position as against my party constitution. How do I seek for justice? 😕 |

helinues: If Yayi Indeed had all those listed projects in Ogun state he did not represent, then how much projects would he have in Lagos state he has been representing for over 20 years.
Shouldn't his projects in Lagos state he represented for over 2 decades gave him automatic ticket for Lagos state governor. Why Ogun state? You just make it clear now that the only issue you have with him is about contesting in Ogun State and not Lagos State. Well, he isn't the first person to doing so in our country and I doubt he would be the last. So dear brother, stop hiding behind his achievements and come out clean that you don't want him to contest for Governorship in Ogun State. Thank you. |

helinues: That's Osun state bro. Why did some of you even want to be forcing rubbish on Ogun state people . Commissioner is not even an elected position like house of rep and senate
Someone represented Lagos state for over 2 decades as a House of rep and senator but all of a sudden, he remember about Ogun state. What sort of an insult is that self Let us get you clearly, are you pained that YAYI is coming from Lagos to contest for Ogun State governorship or what exactly is your argument about..? Because I only remembered that you requested for it he had done in Ogun West initially which the OP had done. Though you may argue that some of the projects attached to him were not from him, but shifting your argument to where he is coming from seems like you are pained that he is getting that momentum. And if your argument is about project done, then name your own candidate for better comparison. What I know that is happening in Ogun State politics is that Ogun West also deserve sense of belonging, and Ogun West people have decided on YAYI. Ogun State doesn't belong to the Central and East alone. My observation though |

Politics › Re: Appeal Court Affirms Oyetola, Running Mate As APC Candidates by oluDharay(m): 7:30pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
fergie001: Dapo Abiodun had submitted some information in 2015 when he contested as a Senator which were allegedly not true.
When it came up in 2019, Tribunal ruled 1. The Court of Appeal had dismissed the suit earlier so it stays with that Court.
2. It is a pre-election case with which the tribunal should not have been invited.
The Supreme Court judgement delivered by Ejembi Eko JSC as he was then:
By virtue of section 31(1) (2), (4), (5) and (6) of the Electoral Act the issue of alleged false statement in a candidate’s affidavit containing his particulars and personal information, Form CF001, is a pre-election issue. The National Assembly had by that provision provided for the determination or resolution of the issue. In the instant case, the appellants made an issue, in their petition, of the 2nd respondent’s affidavit, Form CF001, allegedly containing false statement of his qualification to contest the election to the office of the Governor of Ogun State. The tribunal and the Court of Appeal were right to have held that by virtue of section 31(1) (2), (4), (5) and (6) of the Electoral Act read together with 285(9) and (14) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) it was a pre-election issue to be disposed of under section 31 of the Electoral Act (as amended), and was therefore statute- barred.
I don't see the difference between these two cases..... If that should be the case, can we just conclude that APC has no case then, and congratulate Adeleke already |

fergie001: To add, APC is premising mainly on this certificate issue.
They brought only two out of 300 witnesses for the over-voting allegations. When INEC opens their defence, we will know more.
This Certificate saga is where APC & Oyetola intends to do the maximum damage.
Always welcome.

seunmsg: When petitioners close their case, it means they have presented all their evidences, call all their witnesses and make all their arguments in support of the case. It is now left for the defendants (INEC, PDP and Adeleke) to open their defense against the case made by the petitioner.
So you see, there is nothing to celebrate for Adeleke here. The ball is now in his court to prove he not only won the election but also qualified to contest for governor. Thereafter, the tribunal will give judgement.
I hope you’re now better educated. You are back. Nice to have you back here sir |

Politics › Re: Tribunal: INEC Presents Blurry Adeleke’s Testimonial, Oyetola Kicks by oluDharay(m): 8:19pm On Dec 01, 2022 |
fergie001: This is what I think happened.
Adeleke finished from Ede Grammar School whether 81 or so. In a Court of Appeal suit in 2018, WAEC confirmed that Adeleke sat for the exam but he sat for only one subject which is English and scored F9. This is ok in Court and by our laws.
However, I think Adeleke before that suit, had allegedly tampered with the scores in other subjects. APC been the ruling Govt in the State must have found out from the school register. (This is my thoughts)...
There is no gainsaying the fact that the PDP and INEC do know what happened, the reason they provided a blank paper. They have said they cannot give what they don't have but can bring the original file. The original file haa the right one but it is obviously not what he submitted in 2018.
So, can the Court compel INEC to present what they don't have? The Defence will definitely call WAEC to testify and push it to the petitioners to prove. and once that is done it will be difficult.
My bro, person wey hold the one wey Adeleke submit fit dey Belize now inside one room. Thanks for this, but still, I feel INEC is trying to shield Adeleke |
