I HAVE SENT AN EMAIL TO THE EMBASSY AND I GOT THE BELOW. AM CONFUSED AS TO HOW TO MAKE THE BAR CODE MATCH SINCE I HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO FILL A NEW FORM.

We understand that you want to know how to amend your DS160 form.

Kindly note that you will not be able to retrieve and modify information in the DS-160 application once it is completed. If you wish to correct and/or update information, please disregard the old DS-160 application and create a new application, then bring the new DS-160 confirmation page at the time of interview. You can access the DS-160 form in the website https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

Please make sure that the DS-160 barcode number in your profile on www.ustraveldocs.com matches with the barcode number on your DS-160 documents. The Consulate will not permit you to enter or be interviewed at the Embassy if your DS-160 confirmation number is different on what you have in your appointment cofirmation letter. You will be responsible for rescheduling your appointment on another day if they do not match.

You are to ensure that the DS-160 confirmation number on the DS-160 confirmation page matches with the DS-160 number on the appointment confirmation letter. Any changes to the profiles must be made at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled appointment day. It is important that the most recent DS-160 confirmation code matches the DS-160 code on the appointment letter on the day of your appointment. You will be turned back at the Consulate/Embassy if the DS-160 numbers do not match.

Note: Effective immediately, visa applicants who do not upload their photos when submitting their visa application will be turned away and advised to complete their application by uploading a proper photo. This will usually require the rescheduling of their appointment. The process for uploading photos is easy and is thoroughly explained in our on-line application. Avoid disappointment and delay—upload your photo as part of your visa application.

Hello all,

I am new here and but i have been following the trend closely.

I need nairalanders urgent advice plsssssssss.

I am a man with a family of five (5), I have never traveled before and i intend to travel to visit a friend in texas for two weeks but i have a sister who lives in Virginia but currently in Nigeria for few months.

Question 1 - I do not intend to visit my sister place when I get to the USA but do I include her address in the "Contact address" section or Do i fill my friend's address in the -"Address where you will stay in the U.S section".

When filling my form, I mistakenly inputted my my sisters address as the contact address and my friend's Address as where you will stay in the U.S.:. While my wife and children's had my sisters address filled in the "where you will stay in the U.S" section & my friends address filled in the "contact address section"

i have an interview in November, is it ok if i edit this corrections by deleting my sisters address since i am not visiting her and she is also currently on a few months visit to Nigeria. She may not return before i travel with my family if given the visa.
