COVID-19: ADO HERITAGE GROUP make Effort towards Her People's sustainability by the distribution of relief packages to 3000 Ado Ekiti residents.

The world at large is at a trying time. The COVID-19 lockdown is putting people on a hold to go on their daily activities to ensure, there is hunger safety. This is a time to identify oneself as an indigene of one's homeland and place of birth. This is the time to put all the effort Ado Heritage socio-cultural group has with her to reach out to indigents. Humanity should not be at jeopardy at this time. We must give our lots to the dire needs of our people, to ensure sustainability.

The Ado Heritage group, a socio-cultural group under the leadership of Basorun Tope Alabi is going the nook and cranny of Ado-Ekiti, with target to meet the needs of 3000 people with palliative packages. Our heritage must be protected at this time, as good Ado Heritageans. And this can be best done when we reach out to our people. Our Town, Our Homeland, must live in this time, and forever. 3000 people will be reached as the outreaching continues, in a "house to house distribution method".

The target is clear and defined as ADO HERITAGE group has been on this move, since 9th of April, 2020. The relief packages contain foodstuffs which would at least sustain the people, at this trying times.
It is obvious that our government under the leadership of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is doing hers to ensure people remain safe. This should not be left to the government alone, socio-cultural groups should join hands with the effort of government. Illustrious sons and daughters of Ado-Ekiti have also followed suit to make sure our people stay home and stay safe, while the lucrative measures in place to curb the deadly Corona virus lasts.

Moreso, people were also sensitised on the need to adhere to the preventive measures as given by WHO and other identified health bodies: like social distancing, time to time use of sanitizers, the use of facemasks etc.

We enjoin all citizens/indigenes to stay in touch and be obedient to government directives, as either this or the government's, will reach them. Let's all stay home and stay safe. All these efforts, we believe will put this pestilence on a hold, in a sooner time.
