Education › How I Gain Admission Into OAU After 3years by OluwaNiteme(op): 7:35pm On Dec 01, 2015
First and foremost, I give Glory to God in the Highest for giving me the opportunity to share my testimony with you guys.

I did my first Jamb in 2013, which I chose OAU as my first choice, normally I pass the regular cut off mark which was then and presently 180 but Obafemi Awolowo University was too proud to allow candidates below 200 to write her post utme.

Same thing happened 2014, I didn't even make attempt to go for any lesser institutions (other universities, polytechnics, or college of education) because I consider OAU as my one and only option (Great Mistake). My elder brother have been in the school since 2011 and have tell me how big, good and wonderful the school is to me.

I change my notion and perspective about institution and course-taking this year, I had decided I was going to 'use a stone to kill a bird'; I decided to change my course from pure science to social science, which of course really helped me. I was able to get over 200 this year (222 actually) after average preparation. I did both OAU and ede poly post utme, and at least I was able to pass the aggregate cut off marks for both schools.

Today I am a proud OAU student: it was the Grace of God.

Advice to aspirant and Jambites: Be patient, stand for what you want, pray, be prepared, always choose more relevant course with good combination, don't depend on runs, don't rely on expo, don't always read a night before the D-day, have good O-level results.
