Hello everyone,I’d like to use this platform to thank God and share my interview experience at the us consulate Abuja..

I applied in March of 2021 and filled all necessary forms and was waiting for my interview in January 2022,and that was the earliest date I got. Note I live in Lagos,but my appointment was in Abuja.fast forward to D day.. I was really worried,as I have heard so many stories and this was my first attempt at the us embassy,though I have visited Paris and Spain and Cape Town in the past.

I applied at 6:30
Got in by 7:20
After the screening at about 8,I was inside and I could hear others being interviewed,I came for this visa interview with my sister,who was also applying…after few mins,I was called to cubicle 11.

VO: good morning (smiling)
Me/ sister: hi good morning
VO: are you sisters?
Me/ sis: yes we are
VO: hi Emmanuella,can I take your prints
My sis: yes pls ( places hands � for prints )
Vo: turns to me ,grace may I ?
Me : sure smiling
VO: have you traveled before ?
Me: yes
Vo : to where
Me ; Paris cape Town and Spain
Vo: and what was the purpose
Me: Tourism
Vo: did you go with your sister?
Me : yes
VO : I see you are going to Florida? What do you intend to do there?
Me : I’d visit Disney world,sea world Orlando and universal
VO: what do you do ?
Me : I am a treader and I sell blah blah
Vo: and your sister?
Sis: I am a final year student and a treader too
Vo: how much do you earn
Me :blah blah
Vo: and you Emmanuella?
Sis:blah blah
Vo: do you have family in us ?
Us: no
Vo: Are your parents in Nigeria?
Us: yes
Vo: are you both single ?
Us; yes smiling
Vo types non stop
Vo: all looks good � ( puts our passport away ) and hands us a white paper and says follow the instructions to pick your passport in 4 days
Us: thank you �
VO: smiles have a great day
