dear it's because of its contagious rate
malaria can be cured and can't be transmitted to one person to another like Covid-19

for malaria to kill someone his or her immune system must have been so low

but Covid-19 can kill anyone even though immune system plays important role too

but the contagious rate of Covid-19 makes it more deadlier than any virus ever existed.
