The ongoing drama between veteran Fuji singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka KWAM 1, and his former drummer, Kunle Ayanlowo, has continued to trend, with the latter issuing a warning in a new video that has gone viral.

Recall that Ayanlowo first trended after he granted an interview where he spoke about his work experience with Wasiu for 32 years.

The former drummer, who was visibly angry, warned his former boss to avoid messing with him
as he called him unprintable names.

Speaking in Yoruba, Ayanlowo debunked KWAM 1’s claims that he couldn’t read or write English as he queried how he had been able to communicate with Oyinbos.

The drummer, who advised the Fuji star to change his way, also recounted how KWAM 1 allegedly slept with his woman in Paris. Ayanlowo said he sponsored a lover with him to Paris only to find out KWAM 1 was sleeping with her.

He also claimed that there was no woman the Fuji star couldn't sleep with.

The drummer said: “That foolish Mayegun said I can’t read or write English. If it is true, how do I communicate with the white people? You better change your ways before it is too late. I sponsored my woman to travel down and be with me. You met with her in Paris and started sleeping with her. There is nothing you can’t sleep with. Don’t mess with me, This is just a warning."

Wasiu Ayinde, the Fuji singer fondly called Kwam 1, has opened up on his plans to return to school.

“All my life I do research. Every opportunity that I have. Presently I am in school.

As a matter of fact, I will soon be a fresher at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU). I am just trying to do things in my own way to suit myself. You learn till you die,” he said.

“Very recently I had the opportunity to go and attend a function at the OOU. We had a mass set of graduands. The bands on the stand tried their hands on some of my works to recognise my presence.

I was so overjoyous that time. So, in the form of wanting to appreciate them more, I sought to speak to the leader of the band and there I was told it was a band from the music class of OOU and they just started that class.

I showed so much interest. I called for further discussion and in the cause of doing that I told them I want to enroll. I want to be part of them to see how we can develop a lot out of that.

“… part of what I also discussed with the dean of the school of music at OOU was that we can do better. To bring a whole lot of artistes. The state is blessed with many names like Haruna Ishola, Ayuba, Shina Peters, Wizkid, Olamide, and D’banj. I told the dean that people like me can be used to bring everybody together and develop.

That is what prompted me to want to go back to school

Ayinde, an indigene of Ijebu-Ode, was born in Lagos in 1957.

Kwam 1 attended Government College, Isolo, Lagos. He was unable to complete his education as a result of his father’s death.

With over five decades in the music industry and several awards and accolades, Kwam 1 is regarded as an icon in Nigeria.

The ancient city of Ibadan has long been a favoured destination for tourists, with Delesolu’s Palace standing out as a popular choice due to its many historical sites. Located in the Oje Community of Ibadan North East, Oyo State, the palace is known for its unique practice of rearing crocodiles as pets. Today, on March 28, 2024, the legendary crocodile at the palace passed away.

Chief Raufu Yusuffu Delesolu (Ayingun Olubadan), head of the family and a respected Chief in Ibadan, shared that the crocodile had been brought to Igbejo Delesolu in 1940 after the first one was acquired by white men. Since then, it had
resided in the Delesolu compound until its recent demise.

Chief Raufu explained that people from various backgrounds, including Africans and white visitors, enjoyed seeing and feeding the crocodile with different foods. He mentioned that the crocodile had been around for about 84 years, predating his own birth.

Contrary to speculation, Chief Raufu clarified that the crocodile was not worshipped as a deity by their ancestors but was instead treated as a cherished pet. He reminisced about times when the crocodile would venture out during heavy rains, prompting a search by men in the compound to bring it back safely.

While the family mourns the loss of the crocodile, they are making arrangements for its burial within the family compound.

Despite this loss, there are still other tourist attractions within the compound and Oje community, with plans to potentially acquire another pet to continue preserving their heritage.
