JustMellow: Hello Omohwummy,
I believe you have done your research on the appeal thingy before coming to a conclusion on it. Be as it may, opinions may vary on this and I won't advise you against it either as some people has been successful with it in the past. From another viewpoint knowing its not guaranteed and if you don't have a strong case to embark on a judicial review, time, effort and resources to put in another application would be wasted. However, one may not know the outcome if a try isn't rendered.
To this end, you should weigh between putting in a fresh application, sending a letter of reconsideration to IRCC/VAC or embark on a judicial review. However, it may be better to put in a fresh application if this is your first application and if the same story reoccurs in the second, then the option of either sending a letter of reconsideration to IRCC/VAC/VO or embarking on a judicial review would be then considered.
N.B: if you intend to put in a fresh application, the SOP should focus on your study intentions and the LOE should address the VO's concerns.
All the best Thank you so much, I will consider reapplying then. I will drop my SOP here later so you all can help access it. Can I use LOE as a reconsideration letter? |

Jephehe: Appealing a decision means you're requesting for a Judicial Review which you need a service of a Canadian Immigration lawyer to represent you. The cost implication range might be the range 6-8k cad. OK, please how long does the review take. How do I start the process. School is to start Sept |

JustMellow: Hello Tstunt,
Going about the VO's concern was major on how your SOP was drafted. You've failed to relate and explain how certain required information need to be read by the VO add up to help them make their case and determine if you are eligible for a SP.
Maybe you failed to show an appropriate relationship and reasons for the sponsorship, a solid home ties and laying your level of establishment in a clear view, the benefits of your intended course/program to your self/country's development, available opportunities etc.
I don't think your notes is generic, rework on your SOP, as opting for a judicial review might (or not) fall to your favour but that's your decision. If am to advise you, I would suggest you re-apply and try to improve more on your application (SOP). You have the knife, yam, and fire.
Good luck! Please I am new here, and I will like all d help. I got my Canada student visa refused due to no family ties, purpose of visit and financial status. I didn't include my SOP at submission of application online cause I thought I would give that in person. My question now is how to I appeal now that I have all the supporting documents in order. |
