That post is not real. The FB page is a scam despite being in existence before recruitment. When you take a look at the web address on that page, it says www.nnpc-nigeria.com. The true web page for NNPC is www.nnpcgroup.com which is the same one we used to apply. A closer look at the former page reveals some untidy and unprofessional appearance (webmasters can testify). Therefore, i'll implore us all to be positive and have faith. Do not be carried away by every 'wave of doctrine'. Stand still, God is on our side! |
These reports are not true! |
The man is the head of the family (says the Gospel). How come children don't stop bearing their father's name and like someone rightly stated, how come wives don't stay apart from their husbands just in the name of equality? It is just right for the wife to bear the husbands name irrespective of how or who started the tradition. It shows oneness and also confirms the man as the head. That does not subject the woman to slavery of any sort and does not inscribe her as a property just as your car or furniture doesn't change its name to yours after you purchase them. |
From UK: "Aint it" pronounced as "Init". |

There was drama at No. 32 Adebisi Omotola Street, Isolo, Lagos, when victims of rent scam for fear of losing all lashed out at each other in a bid to secure apartments they paid for. With the aid of a carpenter, doors were broken and properties flung out by anyone who lays claim to any of the apartments. While the military and police officers among them tried to use force to have their way, lawyers in their midst wondered how they got beaten in their game. The man behind the scam that led to the fracas is 46-year-old Adeyemo Seun Abiodun. The case he has on his hands is that he multiplied keys to the same apartment of a storey building to about 127 persons after collecting rent from each of them. Disaster was, however, averted following the timely intervention of the police at the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos, who restored order and promised to get the man behind the odd deal. Still not satisfied with his loot, Abiodun played into the waiting hands of the police, when he came to collect another money from an undercover tenant that showed interest in the same apartment. That would have been his 128th deal on the same apartment. The Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Chinweike Asadu said that the unit declared a manhunt and arrested the suspect, Abiodun following a complaint by one of his victims, Mrs. Modupeola Opaade. Mrs. Opaade had alleged that in her quest to secure the contested apartment, she paid N740,000 for a two-bedroom flat, on November 5, 2010. She got the shock of her life when she discovered, seven months later, that another tenant was occupying the flat she paid for. CP Asadu said in the course of police investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, operating under the name, Shoreyan Properties Nigeria Ltd, defrauded over 125 prospective tenants using the same property. He allegedly got himself a booty of N45m from the scam. After taking his toll on the 125 tenants, Abiodun disappeared and was later arrested. The police chief assured that the suspect would be charged to court at the end of investigation. Regrets Some of the victims, who spoke with Saturday Sun, said they were mesmerized by the friendly attitude of the person who posed as landlord of the property, and possibly worked in liaison with the agent. According to Pastor Adeleye Bimpe, when she met the landlord through an agent, she was shown round the house and was asked to make a choice, which she did. To further excite her, Abiodun promised her that she would definitely spend Xmas in that house as he would abandon the other apartments and complete hers. “I loved what I saw and the guarantee given, so I quickly made a deposit of N450,000 in a bank account. December came and storytelling started. January, February and March, the story was the same that I should be patient. Recently, I became so furious that I threatened to arrest him if he fails to keep to his own part of the deal. He pleaded that I should come back in two weeks and collect the key. That day, I decided to take a look at the house before going to pick the key; it was then I met a crowd shouting and policemen everywhere. It was then that I realized what happened. “He bears different names and has different accounts he uses to defraud people, I thank God that the police was able to track him down at the passport office where he was planning to leave the country.” Another victim, Evangelist Reginald Ogbonna said he felt confident that he was safe because of the way he related with Abiodun who promised to make him the caretaker of the property. Recalling how he got himself in the mess, Ogbonna said: “I saw an advert by an agent called Tunde Badmus, I called the number and he told me that there was a new house for rent in one of the best streets in Isolo. I visited the house and met with the supposed landlord, Abiodun who was so friendly. I was taken round the building and asked to make a choice, which I did, he then gave me an account number where I paid in the money required and brought him the teller. Each day I went to the house, I would notice there was progress. I had no reason to doubt him. When I started becoming furious about the delay in completing the renovation, he claimed that the soak-away collapsed, and requested that I should give him two weeks. He asked me to come on Tuesday and collect the key. On my way to the office on Tuesday, I decided to have a final glance since I was going to collect the key later in the day. I saw a crowd shouting. Initially I thought one of the new tenants had organized a party but was shocked to discover that they were all prospective tenants. I quickly rushed to the flat I had been allocated and saw more than 10 persons with the same key. I left and called a carpenter to break the door but when I returned, I was told that the key to the flat had been changed more than five times by people who had paid for the same apartment. I called Abiodun’s number, and it was switched off. The agent’s number was also switched off. It was a disaster as people threw each other’s property out in a bid to occupy the apartments. One of the victims, Mr. Edwin Ihejirika was hospitalized for shock when he realized that the house he paid for with his gratuity is fluke.” Another victim, Michael Adamu told Saturday Sun that this experience has really confirmed that Lagos is a land of smart people. Adamu, who just got a job in Lagos, decided to get himself a good accommodation. He saw an advert for vacant apartment, called the number and was told that it is a new building that is yet to be completed. He met Abiodun who introduced himself as the landlord. “I requested for a mini flat which he showed me and said the rent was N300,000 for two years at N150,000 a year. He explained that I was also to pay agency and agreement fee but would allow me to hold on and pay two weeks after I moved into the house. He gave me a receipt and phone number. I always visited the site and was told that the construction was almost through and from what I saw, it was. “On Tuesday, I came to the compound and saw people everywhere and the house that I paid for had been occupied by another person. I called to let him know what I discovered and he switched off his phone. I said to myself welcome to Lagos,” Adamu narrated. The original landlord While others are crying for being defrauded, a petty trader, Adeleke Moreyo insists that the said land belongs to her and she inherited it from her mother. She accused Abiodun of breach of contract, because he was given the property on lease for about three years. On what the contract is about, Moreyo said: “I know him as Wale Dele Shorenyo and an estate developer. Sometime in July last year my family had an agreement with him to lease out the house to him to develop within a year, use it and generate money for three years to pay for his services. Part of the agreement was that he will give me one flat up and downstairs. I also requested that my mother’s grave should not be removed and her name should be written boldly on the house and he signed the agreement. “I thought he stuck to the agreement till my sister recently told me that she got the compound and noticed that our mother’s grave had been covered. I had gone to see things for myself before I confront him and saw so many people in front of the house. They said, Wale took their money and failed to give them accommodation. The flat that he was supposed to give me has been given out to another. It was when this problem started that I discovered that he later changed the agreement and that the stamp duty he gave me was fake. He went behind me and altered the agreement we reached. Accommodation no be by force Abiodun, who claimed to have been in the business as an estate developer, accused his accusers of putting so much pressure on him. “I should allocate them apartments in batches. When these people came, I told them that I have one-year construction period and all of them agreed to wait. Later, some of them ganged up to insist that they could no longer wait. They put me through so much pressure, so I decided to give them a key. The key I gave out was not supposed to be so but due to the pressure, I gave them,” he accused furiously. On the number of people on his waiting list, Abiodun explained that they were about 127 persons who have been paying their money in bits. He admitted that it was that compound that was available for all the intending tenants that have paid. “If these people will allow me to do my job, I will give all of them apartments. Those people that are accusing me are the ones that caused the problem. They lack manner of approach and at a point I even told them it is not compulsory that I should get them an accommodation. They talked to me any how and I have warned them severally.” He, however, begged his accusers to be patient, as he never intended to defraud them. “My plans were that after constructing this building, I would put some persons and start building another one. Give me three months to sort it out, meanwhile I am sorry for the inconvenience.”

Your dressing does not have anything to do with the fact that you are married or single. I think it's just about how you want to be seen and addressed. Whether single or married there is no moral justification for you to dress almost half nude. No religion or creed preaches that. A lot of times people do things just because they want to be seen as "in vogue". Believe me sincerely, when I see a married woman dress indecently (and I'm sure a lot of men agree), I conclude that you are irresponsible and wanting a second opinion about your marriage. There are many ways a woman can look ravishingly beautiful without exposing the vital parts of your virtue. omoekoni:If you want to remain single then that is your own decision but do not speak blasphemy by saying the person who created marriage is a complete fool. That statement is referring to God cos He created that institution. Read Gen 2:24. If you are still confused, consult your Pastor (if any). I rest my case. |
