Travel / Re: 105 Years Later, A Letter In A Bottle Thrown From Titanic's Deck Found (Pics) by omoyankee3(m): 6:18pm On Oct 14
What fascinates me is that the discovery tells tragic story and how events in our lives are all interconnected:

A french man with seven children migrated to the US with four of his children. His wife and the other three children drowned in the Atlantic ocean while trying to join him in US. He and his remaining children were deported back to France four months later. His eldest son fought and died in an European war.

- If he didn't migrate to US, his family wouldn't have died while trying to join him.

- If his wife and children didn't die in the titanic, immigration wouldn't have known he was illegal and wouldn't have deported him.

-If he wasn't deported, his eldest son wouldn't have fought and died in WW1

Sports / Re: Newcastle United Plotting A Transfer Raid Of Four Manchester United Players by omoyankee3(m): 12:53am On Oct 12
While I was in college, there was a guy that use to support Newcastle United. He watched all their matches with passion, wearing the recognizable black and white Jersey. He even kept supporting them when they were relegated.

We that were supporting top teams like Chelsea, Man U and Barca always made fun of him, but he wasn't bothered.

Guess who's laughing now?
Career / Re: 3 Marketing Lessons We Can Learn From Netflix's "Squid Game' by omoyankee3(m): 3:29pm On Oct 11
The show is a gold mine:

The uniforms of the players, the costumes of the workers, the dalgona cookies used for game 2, creepy doll,....all can be monetized. Halloween is coming, and many people would be looking to buy circle
/triangle/square masks as well as VIPs' masks

Wilder really suffered in that fight. He should keep his head up, he gave his all till there was nothing left in the tank. Takes HUUGE mental strength to keep on fighting with all those punches from a 277 pounds giant

The guy's speed, agility and precision is second to none.
He's age mates with mbappe and can do as good with time.

And he has a never-say-die attitude. Defenders simply cant handle him.

I remember when Nigeria was 25...and the catchy song:

"Nigeria is 25, the odds we did survive, arise salute the nation, lets join the celebration (chop mouth for the rest of the lyrics)"

Optimism was in the air and we all had high hopes for the country

Sports / Re: Kanu: Osimhen Has Potential To Win Next African Footballer Of The Year Award by omoyankee3(m): 1:18am On Oct 01
What? Did you just say top 10?? Hahahaha. Be fair with your hype bro. Osimhen no go enter top 20 strikers self. No lie.

Seems you've not been watching him play. Unstoppable in France and now in Italy. He can lose five chances in a game and still score a hat trick. If he improves on taking his chances, its gonna be cricket scores.
Sports / Re: Kanu: Osimhen Has Potential To Win Next African Footballer Of The Year Award by omoyankee3(m): 1:11am On Oct 01
Osimhen is the real deal. He makes good defenders and goalkeepers look ordinary. If he goes to the premier league, he would surely floor the likes of Mané and Salah in goals scored.

Family / Re: Why Are Men Outraged Over Paternity Fraud? by omoyankee3(m): 7:21pm On Sep 29
Na wa o. There are many things involved in this matter. Some people have made good points about the issue.

Let me just add one more point:

Most often than not, when the bastard child/children grow up, they locate their biological father and start taking care of him in his old age and neglect the man that used his youth, sweat and blood to raise them.

Sports / Re: Anthony Joshua Loses To Oleksandr Usyk By Unanimous Decision by omoyankee3(m): 3:51am On Sep 26
I feel AJ's fights are staged. He makes more money fighting the same guy twice than fighting him once. So he makes double on each boxer he fights. I bet the rematch will be held in Dubai or one of these oil rich Arab countries.

Everything a na double double

Unnecessary from Pochettino if Messi was playing well.
Messi needs game time to gel with his team mates and he needs games like this to do just that.

Exactly. Most of Messi's teammates at PSG are not operating on the same wavelength as him. They'd need time to adjust to his level of play.

I remember when Suarez was saying they often think a pass is impossible and therefore not prepared when Messi makes the pass
