1. This girl might have gone through a bad breakup with her boyfriend so she doesn't trust boys anymore.

2. You are not attractive enough to her. Meaning you are not so attractive to be chosen as a boyfriend only a funny loving friend

3. She's afraid she might lose you.. Because all bf and gf relationship must end sometime while friendships may last forever

I was completely in love with a girl for a VERY long time. She thought of me as 'a brother' or 'only friends'. I waited 11 years for this to change.
