I've been there man, having something, living the life and suddenly everything disappears. Chose to find solace in something else. My own wasn't drugs though, but it nearly ruined me.
How I healed? Love. Refrain from giving him cash but always talk to him. Yarn generally. Call him at odd times. Help him look for a job if that's possible. He needs to get his spark and mojo back. Once he does the addiction will ultimately fizzle out.
