How we know it's Nigeria is the sand sand that appears beside the roads instead of pavements and landscapings |

Ask kidnappers to help you. After they might have demanded $1m, it'll solve a lot of issues, even about the $1m he promised you. |
Romance Section on Nairaland has been infiltrated. No wonder reasonable people stay in is sections like Politics, Agriculture, Food etc. |
saintbillion:You should be happy because it is an exception to the law of nature which says that 'you can't kill two birds with one stone. |

When I did my post yesterday, I sat back, watch the comments increasing and I smiled. Looking at them, you'll need no one to tell you why some important human welfare sectors like counselling don't and won't excel in Africa. I only consoled myself with this man's thought: "Criticism is prejudice made plausible." - Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956) When someone is struggling, the fact that you are not and that you are confortable shouldn't make you say demeaning things against the person. We sit in the same class at the same time when tutelage is conducted, but when questions for examination of what is taught is carried out, what happens? Everyone gives different answers such that the diverse answers are directly proportionately to the number of the people answering. Ask 100 people taught a question, you are likely to get 100 different answers. "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." - Albert Einstein (1879-1955) I hope you know Thomas Edison's story. One of the most commonly cited anecdotes about Edison is that he failed 1,000 times before successfully inventing the practical incandescent light bulb. "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." - Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) Some of us are stupid now but will get wiser soon and vice versa. Everyone has his/her own junction that leads to Damascus and out of the place too. "Men and nations behave wisely once they have exhausted all the other alternatives." - Abba Eban (1915-2002) Sometimes, also we just need to keep going. "If you are going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) Now, I just found a great man who gave me a hand from nowhere. It was more of picking diamond from the dirt. And now I am into business again. "A friendship founded on business is better than a business founded on friendship." - John D. Rockefeller (1874-1960) "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good." - Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) If at all nothing good can come out of our mouths sometimes, it is better to keep mute like I did in the midst of the lashes I receive with my post yesterday. "I have often regretted my speech, never my silence." - Xenocrates (396-314 B.C.) Even a dead clock shows the right time once in a day everyday. True or not? "Everyone is a genius at least once a year; a real genius has his original ideas closer together." - Georg Lichtenberg (1742-1799) Sometimes too, peoples' GOOD opinions matter but not that we don't know what the'll say "Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't" - Erica Jong (1942-) |
Link to the initial post: https://www.nairaland.com/8199310/just-left-married-female-friends#131754036 After the moniker Elegantspiker commented that I should mail him when he asked the skills I got and I mentioned web design, I actually mailed him. Much talk went down and finally and proudly, I am announcing that I am into business again. He sent down payment for my first exhibition project, which is to create a website, which will ascertain and/or culminate to other life changing prospects, may be even in perpetuity, that shall be underway. May God grant you the knowledge and wisdom to grow the fortune you aspire sir. May God keep you safe in the country you reside currently and also clear the air whenever you are flying back to Nigeria. Thank you sir.

yomi007k:1. The man knows my story well. The wife told him about me a lot. Because before she married, I helped her a lot too because she is from a poor background. To even feed was her problem and she was not the after any guy. We were close because we were course mates and I and only I first understood her situation and took charge; mind you, not to take advantage. 2. She has her own shop too but a sales girl was there because she is still nursing the second child, as such doesn't stay much in the shop. Of course the shop is next block to her home. 3. I don't go there often as I mentioned. When I do, it is for a purpose. But if I go, and it's for NO STATED reason, she understands, which I hardly even do. That's when worse comes to worse. |
dawnomike:I am about 900Km away from Lagos. Thank you very much for your concern. I am grateful. |
She is married with 2 kids and the husband knows me well cos I visit now and then but not often. I must confess, this lady has helped me a lot and I owe her in my mind greatly to repay the kindness to her children in one way or the other in future when the going gets going. So, today I visited her because yesterday I did 0-0-0. Today, Thursday, I was already on another 0-0-... then decided to touch her side to at least make it 0-0-1. This was around 3:20pm. Whenever I visit for no particular purpose, she knows I am broke, so she serves me food and sometimes, when I am leaving, she gets raw food for me to take home because I live alone on my own. We gisted a lot in the sitting room. Suddenly, she began preparing food (My joy was immeasurable within) so I amplified the gist mode. Food was done at last. By this time, her husband returned from his shop (He usually leave before his 'shop boy' who is his village relative staying with him). My female friend then dished the swallow on a single plate and brought it on the table where I was sitting with her husband. All this while, the man was busy pressing his phone since arriving. She meant we (me and the husband) should share the food based on the quantity as it was much. To God, this man as if he was provoked. Oga didn't invite me and he didn't eat either. The wife came on three ocassions to remind him, inaan. She was even dumbfounded. It got to a stage the lady was embarrassed and didn't even know what to do. My embarrassment was even greater. I was in a dillema, to stay; which the shame I felt will be more obvious or to leave, which I wondered how I'll comport myself with what I'll say and how I'll walk out of the sitting room. Finally, I summoned courage and told them I needed to leave. The man said OK. The lady acted up and asked, "Will you not eat?" Knowing fully well I was hungry. I said no problem, that I need to catch up with time for something. That's how I left and now I am close to another 0-0-0. Right now, I am headed to a free borehole water where I'll refill my tank to temporary stop the rumbling therein, rest in one primary school where boys are playing football, get a little strength and off to my room to think about my life. |
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has said the Nigerian military will not accept anyone pushing or calling for a change of government.https://punchng.com/military-will-not-accept-anyone-calling-for-coup-defence-chief/0033993248
