AMINDA: Infrastructure aren't business ventures. Their "profits" are measured in how they ensure "ease of doing business", how they save time, how they open up the economy, etc. At this stage we need a business minded president who can generate money though other means apart from taxation. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Agenda: Proposed Railway Projects: Feasibility Studies Completed by OneCandleAway(f): 8:14pm On Apr 27 |
AMINDA: Lol. In how many years will he deliver all these? Is he planning for a life presidency? When will he start? If he had any intention of doing these rails, he would have picked the low hanging fruit and continued from where Buhari stopped with his rail initiatives by linking Ibadan to Abuja and Warri-Itakpe to Abuja for a quarter of the amount that had been given to Chargoury for his white elephant projects. Rather, he embarked upon an 11 trillion naira coastal road project that has since been commissioned at the 30km stretch. The Abuja-Kaduna rail is also poorly maintained under the watchful eye of yet another of his Lagos boys, Kayode Opeifa. The Abuja kaduna railway isn't even profitable. Corruption affecting ticket sales. |

The one in ogun state is right now fighting with the 2 current senators who were also ex governor. Pride will not let them stoop to beg him for the ticket |

WantsandMore: you want to strip away people's hard earned franchise to vote, whom their forefathers fought tooth and nail just because you're discontent with some people's manners of campaign? Aren't you a tyrant? But the northerners initially didn't want the British to leave. Maybe because they knew eventually the rest of Nigeria will leave them behind that's why they reluctantly agreed. And what's the point of a massive population voting wrongly and the educated ones suffering for it. |
Politics › Re: "No Light, No Vote": Afikpo Youths Stage Protest Over 25-Year Blackout by OneCandleAway(f): 6:13am On Apr 26 |
Isobug: Not that there hasn't been light at all, you hardly see light. You see light like once in a whole month, sometimes none in two months. Is that what you call light. I was there throughout from 23 December 2025 to 17th of January this year and I didn't see a single day with light. I went back on the 16th till month end on January yet no light. The main issue is that there's a Sub station (133kva) being built there since Obasanjo time. And from information available ever since, the station was completely paid for. Check it out from 2001 till date they couldn't complete what was completely paid for Is this marias ude community (the former house of assembly member) cuz I heard she fixed the light back then that when they bring light instead of up nepa they shout up maria. |

CodeTemplar: I am no obidient but Obi's economic blueprint is miles ahead of Mr Infrastructure's own. No empty lanes for the sake of it. Instead he built a factory to produce what his people consumes that they dont already produce. Thats what we need in principle. Imagine if we decide to have chocolate factories. Something that sustains soldiers in warfront yet we export it and cry of malnutrition. Imagine the garment factories springing up once again. Imagine you dont have to import fabric from China or pharmaceuticals from India or flashlights and phone chargers from Shenzhen. Thats Obi's blueprint in principle. Leave them. A father whose children are hungry and naked, says furnishing his house is the best thing they need |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi: Before And After- Dele Farotimi by OneCandleAway(f): 9:06pm On Apr 23 |
franchasng: Even if we are to assume the Pandora papers is true, the time the Pandora papers said Obi opened a shell company with his daughter as beneficiary was when he was a private business man before he joined politics to contest for Anambra Governor.
So maybe when he wanted to join Nigerian politics, he shutdown his Next company in UK and instead of bringing the whole money into Nigeria or keeping it in UK where it will be heavily taxed, he opened a shell company in a tax haven country to save it for his kids so that tax won't deplete the money and so that it won't interrupt his new ambition to join politics in Nigeria.
So before you go about shouting Pandora papers, know what it was all about.
Now tell us how the same Pandora papers implicated Bola Tinubu and his cousin Oyetola? They don't even understand there's a certain level you get to you need offshore accounts. Look at those Russian billionaires that their UK accounts were blocked due to Ukraine war. If they had extra funds in offshore accounts they'd be living fine and protected. |

She uses all opportunity to deny the obvious religious and ethnic ongoing genocide. She pays little or no regard, to at least visit the states ravage with the menace of banditry. Same with his son, the family focus is only to win election. Of course that family don't have human sympathy especially for the poor . What they are considering is how to win election, how to keep ruling Lagos, how to keep collecting 10% of Lagos tax with alpha beta. Greed is in their bloodstream. |

This woman, is only concerned about reelection strategies. Seems like she has been task with galvanizing christians vote. I will not be shocked, if she was the one responsible for fake bishop saga. Aisha had no notable humanitarian activities. Especially compared to Stella obasanjo, late Mariam babangida and even abachas wife Maryam that built a national hospital Abuja within 10 months. Aisha was just after marrying off her children to rich families that would have never considered them if they weren't in power then. |

Unlike you guys that think a mega failure whom a barren brewery was his only achievement for 8yrs of governorship can make a good president! But the brewery still runs, has one of the highest employers of labour in the state and pays one of the highest tax. So how is it a mega failure compared to alpha beta that remits 10% of Lagos tax to Tinubu. |
