I.diot i don't care what you do. You wawa people should focus on your thread. Any little thing is a big deal. Someone posted palm tree in a field and they started using it to insult others as if such terrains are not everywhere. Clowns

If you like post the images of villages and places from Enugu state, you can never provoke me to do the same from anywhere in the east...

Try harder!!!

This is my neighborhood here at Awka. But you see them celebrating something like this in this thread as if it is a big deal. When states are already moving towards self sustainability

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oneeast: 11:51am On Apr 14, 2018
All they do is deceiving us with government houses surroundings. Meanwhile look at the poverty at Nsukka, the so called university town.

Awka, Owerri, Onitsha, Umuahi, Abakiliki, Aba are all good and evolving Igbo cities...and we love them... wink wink wink

It is your father that's engaging in folly.

Cooly100:
If you must continue in your folly...why not first change your moniker to OneAnambra...I bet if some from Nnewi pick a bone with someone from Onitsha, you will take side again...then umuleri and Aguleri...bla, bla, bla...How far can you go dividing the entity...?

You are not a bastard, a hypocrite, you are reasonable...

Happy now?

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oneeast: 10:41am On Apr 14, 2018
Bastard you are now talking rubbish. When someone made his rather false and unfounded comment all of you sat down like fools but when Chino respond it becomes division.

Why not avoid the lies that will instigate division in the first place? Bunch of useless hypocrites pretending to be reasonable.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oneeast: 10:35am On Apr 14, 2018
Let the brawl start here.

I didn't start the brawl but i am ready for anyone of you to jump into the ring. Let us start the comparison of Anambra and Enugu states, maybe by the time we are done you all shall see a lot of gap to catch up with as regards development.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oneeast:
There's nothing remotely close to beauty in Enugu township when we have Abakpa, Uwani, Asata, Ogui, Coal camp, Awkunanaw etc which constitute 97% of Enugu township. Whereas the only area we are shown as Enugu township is just the 3% which is just the areas surrounding the government house. Let some people stop fooling themselves here.

I want to see development across Enugu state. From Ugwuaji to Emene to Nkanu to Akpugo to Nkwo to Udi to Nike to Oji River etc. Let us start seeing real development for once in this oldest state in the SE/SS.

I want to see developments that will cause banks to start springing up at Nkanu, Aninri, Achi, Inyi, Ugbo Odogwu, Nenwe, Mgbagbuowa, Neke, Aku, Igbo eze, Igbo etiti, Awgu, Nara, Ndi Agu, etc. It is obviously clear that there's nothing to celebrate after over 100 yrs of running in circle.

Point of correction: Enugu township is not the capital of the SE, rather it is the capital of Enugu state.

Igboid:
You know Chino had been itching to destroy this wonderful thread, and you are inviting him in, with careless posts such as the above
Let's keep this thread chino free.

This is a beautiful thread.

We can appreciate the beauty of Enugu, the beautiful capital of Alaigbo, without having to denigrate other Igbo towns, cities or states.

Nigerian cities with slum prevalence from a well researched documentary.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oneeast:
I think it is the other way round. Owerri and Aba are the dirtiest towns in the SE and equally with the worst road roads.

Onitsha is among the neatest in the SE presently and equally most planned city in the SE. Owerri and Aba are at the same level. Onitsha like every other major city has different hoods, high density and low density, depending on where you can afford. You cannot compare Awada to 3-3 or Fegge to Omagba. The same is in Enugu, you cannot compare New Haven to Ogui/Asata. etc. Even Asata/Ogui hoods are even worse off than Obosi/Awada. Because Awada has far better buildings and equally planned while Ogui/Asata is what one will easily regard as slum.

I was in Owerri myself recently and i was shocked at the level of propaganda being dished out online whereas the reality on ground shows total disaster and mess.

The report is about industrial air pollution of which all the SE states were affected. I still have the report chart. It has nothing to do with dirt.

For instance, i took this pic at Owerri. Does this environment reflect what you mean by beauty? Meanwhile this is a road at center of the town that was just completed. You guys should stop spewing rubbish and go on ground to be well informed.

Ofodirinwa:
Mechanized farming is great but there's more to life than money. This isn't an abstract concept either. May of the degenerative behaviors Nigerians exhibit are the result of the hideous toxic environments our short sightedness forces us to create.

When we make said money what will we do? Build a big tacky house and cage ourselves in 10 foot concrete walls. Well cut down every tree visible in the process.

When the air is full of dust, when erosion strikes, when smog reaches, air quality declines, people start dying at 40 from natural causes, we'll blame government.

Ontisha was built with 0 consideration for health or environment in mind. Today it's the dirtiest city in the world and the people there act like pained animals.

Owerri is moving in a decent direction and takes beauty into consideration. Enugu too. Do you know why people in Aba and Onitsha act one way while people in Enugu and Owerri act another?

Our poor concept of development has us racing towards wasting our time on Earth in a miserable ugly concrete hell.

You can't look at something this beautiful and start thinking of how to destroy it. Besides, beauty generates more money than rice. If Amazon or Microsoft was going to build office you think they'll choose to do it in a treeless, smoggy dusty wasteland?

The truth is that Imo state is a worthless failed state, the only economic activity in Imo state is prostitution, that is the only thriving business there. The government in the state is equally helpless. There is no single decent job in the whole of Imo state and useless old man called abagworo is aware.

uchman48:
Just imagine a sitting Governor telling a Graduate that is about to face the uncertainty of life that there is no Job anywhere, i just can't help but marvel at the wickedness of our so called leaders, even if there is no Job must you tell them so as to bring down their morale, you are talking about being their own boss, i want to ask under which government, is it this one that foreign investors are withdrawing their investments? The government is yet to create a condusive atmosphere for small scale business to thrive so your advice is just beautiful nonsense.
