Good day, everyone. What test can I run to determine the cause of my weight loss? I have gone to the hospital but they were not able to determine the cause, I have done FCB, and everything came out normal. I'm really concerned.

What test can someone do to check the presence of viral infection?

Hi everyone, what can make someone lose weight drastically without trying. I eat normal. The only issue I have is a mild pain on my left thigh close to the groin which has been there for over 1 year. The pain doesn't affect the way I walk or disturb my daily activities. For the weight loss, what kind of test can I run apart from FBC which I have done like 3 times but it came out normal? Kindly advise

After 1 week of exposure I had a mild sore throat, then after like 1 month I had headache, temperature was 37.5, my eyes were very red that they felt like they want to pull, cough lasted more than 3 months, started loosing weight without trying, Rashes on my chest,dry throat, muscle twitch, pain on my left thigh close to the groin. Till now I still experience some of the symptoms. I did rapid test after 1 month of exposure, I did another one at 3 months, at 6 months plus. The test at 3 months and 6 months+ were done at the laboratory and they were all negative. I have been visiting the hospital since last year July till date. At a point the doctor asked me if I Google my symptoms and wanted to refer me to psychiatric hospital . The fact is that they do not understand what I'm going through. Last week I decided to run another hiv test at home, the control line was very visible, the test line was very faint. Though I did another one immediately with different test strip but it showed only one line. I'm scared of going to the lab for another test. My question is; can someone test positive after 1 year, even when tests at 1, 3, 6, and 7 months were negative.

This is strange. Are you saying you did not have any other exposure after the initial one?

I didn't have. I have been testing since the first exposure because of the symptoms I have been experiencing.

I felt exposed June last year and I have been running test since then. I have using test strip to run the test, I have also did in different labs 3 times. The last test I did at the lab was 1st week of 2nd week of January. Yesterday I did with test strip, the first one showed double lines, but the "Test line" was faint. I had to repeat with another strip but a different product though it didn't show double lines. I have been having someone symptoms 2 weeks after I felt exposed, that's the reason I keep testing.

I tested positive after 14 months. The previous tests at 3 month 5 months and 7 months were negative. I thought it's conclusive after 6 months. I need advise
