anonimi: In terms of democracy dividends, Lagos state is far behind what UPN progressive governor achieved in just four years before military dictator Buhari jailed him for corruption, after his only successful coup against democratic institutions at local, state and federal levels in Decmeber 1983.
What is the wisdom in comparing with other failures currently instead of a past success
>>> >>>
My response was based on initial statement, on corruption. Lagos is highly corrupt just like any other states of Nigeria. However in terms of dividends of democracy Lagos is far ahead, check their governors, LGA/LCDA development across the state. Although these can only be recorded as success when comparing failure with failure (Nigerian model of development). I come in peace
anonimi: As it has been since 1914, Lagos continues to enjoy federal money disproportionately but its failed leaders looters are using xenophobia to distract attention from their roguish ways.
Looters that have turned Lagosians into kwashiorkor potbelly people who drink water from shitty boreholes.
Is there any state without such looters? Remember Lagos has no mineral resources aside waterways. Yes, corruption is undeniable but in terms of dividends of democracy they are ahead of many of not all states of Nigeria
PulaPower: If they hate Nigeria, they won’t be dating / getting married to Nigerians..
The hatred towards foreigners you do see online is politically generated. It’s all politics. Some of those ladies championing the riots are all wanting to contest for one election or the other. After the election, everything will die down. Then, you’ll suddenly start hearing it again when election is coming… Especially their presidential and other top elections. Observe very well, same thing like this will happen..
No, bro Politicians are able to use it because it's a worthy tool in SA, can any Nigerian politician use deportation/ immigration Buhaha for campaign 9ja? There's certainly ideological hatred against black immigrants in SA
Mattswaggz: Netanyahu's grudge against Iran is a very strong one that he is willing to throw everything out to see them crippled while a lot of Americans don't share such sentiments thus, limiting Trump's ability to go full scale war mode against Iran even if he wanted to....not to mention concern about US middle east allies but Netanyahu is refusing to see all of this because like I stated earlier his grudge against Iran is too strong.......Israel can't face Iran alone but I would want a situation where by Netanyahu is actually allowed to do it alone to clear the benefit of a doubt because he is too sporadic against reality......let him face Iran alone and see the outcome for himself maybe that would make him calm down and reason his actions sometimes because I don't know where he is always getting his audacity from from.....maybe it is from the weight of the grudge he holds against them though.
If Israel should fire from all angles without consideration like Iran, you surely know the outcome
AdUlAM: Is it everyone in Enugu that voted for Peter Obi? The non Yorubas that did are regretting already. 😀
So, from your limited reasoning, it's only non-Yorubas who voted for Obi? Hmmm. Politics is not played that way. Obi may get far fewer votes than he got in the last election come 2027 because of people with this kind of mindset. I personally know quite a number of people from the South-West who campaigned and worked tirelessly for Obi-Datti. Just because you have not stepped outside your enclave doesn't mean you should make sweeping statements. Anyway, time will tell
nairalanda1: If Nigerians were serious, they would try someone new.
But then again, when even in the UK, people would laugh at you if you tell them you are not voting for any one apart from the Tories or Labour. (Yes, I am aware of Reform, but those are just Tories who are waiting for things to kalm down before they go home.). Same in the USA...try supporting a smaller party, dem go look una one kind.
Tenses: Yes if buhari had never been elected perhaps "late Dora's husband" would have been alive.
See the consequences of your actions does not just affect you alone.
That's why Obidients are mad at people who vote rubbish into power because everybody will be affected.
If Anambra who did not vote for the present disaster in aso rock becomes victim, we sympathise with them because they are victims of other people's bad choices
but if Oyo who helped enthrone this current calamity in aso rock becomes victim, we remind them that "choices have consequences".
Your comment is lace with bigotry, is it all the people in Oyo that voted for Tinubu? Recheck the election results before disgracing yourself or did you forgot that Obi worn Lagos? Who are people that voted for him? Igbo only? Some of you guys comment makes many regrets thumping for Obi-datti
marlow1962: Are we not humans like others that have world standard?
You are black race, our problem has always been leaders, we lack capacity to stand for truth and ensure a stable system. Irrespective of the geopolitical region you come from, it's same outcome. He did that while he was a governor, what about other governors from other regions?
marlow1962: It's a disgrace you support that rubbish called stadium. If na so Wembley stadium be, una no go dy kpia unaself to book tickets for the match.
Black man sees nothing wrong in being stagnant.
Yes, not world standard, Read my comments again pls
carzeem1: People in some finance firms(small staffing but heavy balance sheet), tech guys in bank
big telecom (MTN pays heavy),remote jobs
Multinationals, larfarge, Cadbury.etc
European/american firms/companies offering services in Nigeria (avoid Indian, Lebanese. Chinese will pay but long hours, hardly respect holidays and weekends).
Remote jobs if you can get it from here. (Stiff competition from Asian countries, India, Pakistani. You must be lucky and good)
Oil and gas guys. Those ones are O.G for income raking in.
Moroccoguy: The best time for opposition to win is 2027 with the current economy and security challenges facing Tinubu administration but they throw up the chance again.
The problem is we have no system in place to enforce that
Kingpele: South Africa doesn't have a functioning government or the government is enjoying the destruction of foreign people business....at last it will hurt their economy very badly ...no sane human being will have a meaningful investment in SA they'll be left with foreign criminals and drug peddlers
It's the same across Africa, we are all bedeviled with different ills
Eba50: see the only reason why i like intolerance and strict, draconian rulers? u can be sure say wike go act and deal with this useless company. when ife and modakeke deu fight that time, abacha just use soldiers in their thousands, deal with them. fight stop immediately. na only more and more madness and crase them take dey solve crase, no be to dey talk small small.
