Facebook has apologised for suspending the account of a woman named Isis. And we think you’ll agree it’s about time. For some reason, Facebook refused to believe that Isis Anchalee was an engineer from San Francisco and not a global terrorist organisation. Three times they disabled her account before she finally had it verified it by sending the company a scan of her passport. Now Facebook has said it is ‘sorry for the trouble it caused’, and told NBC News one or more users had flagged the account as fake or offensive. Ms Anchalee’s experience is not unique. Not by a long way, in fact. For instance, in March, a man said that a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend’s name, Isis, got him the sack. Then, in September, a shop owner in Worcester was forced to deny links to the terrorist group. And in November, Nutella refused to print a personalised jar for a girl named Isis. Perhaps it’s worth noting that not everything named Isis – a name which dates back at least to Ancient Egypt – is affiliated with a Salafi jihadist militant group rampaging through the Middle East. 1. Schedule “Me” Time “Every relationship needs ‘no-relationship’ time. You work all day, so when you get home you feel like you have to be with your partner for the rest of the night. No good. Let him work in the garage or play video games while you do yoga or watch the show you really love. Have an hour of ‘me’ time every day.” 2. Keep the Guffaws Coming “Laughing is the key to my relationship. Even when we are stressed or frustrated, we try to find something to giggle about. It always pulls us out of a funk. 3. Steal a Midday Hello “No matter how busy our work lives are, my girlfriend and I check in when we have a moment. It’s quick but says so much about being in each other’s corner and making each other a priority.” 4. Let the Compliments Flow… “…Even if it seems like something insignificant. We’re in the midst of home improvement, and complimenting my man’s dry-walling or sanding skills helps alleviate the strain of remodeling and makes him happy.” 5. Show Some Love “Hands down, no questions asked: a kiss and a hug every single day. Touching is so important!” 6. Get Down to Business “Have sex. It’s a good stress reliever, and everybody’s happy.” 7. Speak Your Mind “I feel that our relationship stays strong because we really respect each other enough to be honest and up front in our communication at all times.” 8. Say Those Three Little Words “It is so simple, but tell your partner ‘I love you’ every day—and mean it.” 9. End the Day Together “We try to go to bed around the same time at night and lie there for five to 10 minutes and just chat about anything and everything. That time when nothing else is going on has become something we really look forward to.” Culled from: https://trendsglamour..com/ |

West Ham have reportedly made a £6million transfer bid for Chelsea winger Victor Moses. The Hammers are keen to bring the 24-year-old to Upton Park as he has struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge. However, Chelsea are holding out for £10m, according to the Mirror. Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be interested but it’s West Ham who have made the first move. Moses joined Chelsea in 2012 but has only managed to score one goal for the Blues.

Manchester United are hoping to complete the signing of Gareth Bale in the final 72 hours of the transfer window, according to reports. United have been keen on Bale for the last 18 months but the Welshman has always insisted that he’s keen to stay with Real Madrid. However, the Daily Mirror says the Red Devils have been encouraged by Bale falling victim to Real boo boys and hope they can sign him in the last 72 hours of the transfer window. United would be happy to pay up to £95million to sign Bale – a fee which would make him a world record signing.

News making the rounds has it that Antoine Griezmann is wanted by Chelsea this summer. Chelsea can secure the signing of Antoine Griezmann this summer with an ‘extraordinary’ offer, according to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter. The Blues are believed to be keen on signing the French forward this summer but Atletico are reluctant to let the 24-year-old go having only signed him from Real Sociedad in 2014. The French international impressed during his debut season at the Vicente Calderon, scoring 22 goals in 37 goals despite Diego Simeone’s side relinquishing their league title. However, Hunter still believes Chelsea can sign the forward this summer – but only if they approach debt-ridden Atletico with a large offer.

Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal are thought to be good friends. Arsenal are reportedly set to step up their interest in sealing a transfer of Juventus star Arturo Vidal and will make an offer of £21.3million. The Gunners are aware that a deal for the Chilean can be struck as Alexis Sanchez has been smooth talking his compatriot to convince him to join. The duo are representing Chile at the Copa America and Vidal is keen to join Sanchez in London, according to Spanish sources. Arsene Wenger is in the market for quality recruits this summer and the Champions League finalist fits the bill. And Vidal’s close friendship with Sanchez could be the key to sealing a move.

Roberto Firmino is set to complete a move to Liverpool this summer, with a deal being agreed for his services. The Hoffenheim ace is seen as a ideal replacement for Raheem Sterling, who looks certain to change clubs. And the stats show what an incredible bit of business Firmino is, with the Brazilian having more end product than Sterling last term. While they’re both matched on seven goals, Firmino delivered three more assists than Sterling. Not bad. Firmino is set to cost about £29m, and with Sterling likely to go for £50m – some quality business done there.

Harry Kane admits he is flattered by Manchester United’s interest in him – but insists he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The England striker scored 31 goals for Mauricio Pochettino’s side last season and has been linked with a £50m move to Old Trafford this summer with Louis van Gaal known to be looking to add extra firepower to his side. The 21-year-old is currently on international duty with Gareth Southgate’s U21 England side for the European Championships and started during the their opening group game defeat against Portugal last night. And though Kane says it is a good sign he is being linked with the likes of Manchester United, he is adamant he’ll be at White Hart Lane next season.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi is selfish and self-centred, His evident decline is holding back Barcelona and stopping them from being the best they can be. Congratulations are in order for Barcelona, winners of the treble. They soundly beat Juventus 3-1, despite giving them a glimmer of optimism when the scores were level at 1-1 for a time. However, Luis Enrique, their incredible coach, was able to instruct the front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar to score two more goals, and tactically it was an incredible breakthrough on his and the club’s part. In future, they must ensure that they spend £140 million pounds every few years on strikers to keep that part of the team’s tactical ability working. It was Ivan Rakitic who got the third goal, set up by Andres Iniesta, to finish off a move that included almost the whole team. It showed that while they still have the ability to keep the ball and involve all of the team in the process, under Enrique they are now playing tiki taka with an extraordinary gift for verticalidad at the same time. The new angles on show in the last half a season are something else, though. They say that teams go in cycles, but ideas must too. We are told that Marcelo Bielsa is someone who educated Pep Guardiola on the importance of verticalidad, and yet for most of it, Guardiola embraced horizontilidad. The endless possession, as Brendan Rodgers explained on his behalf, is ‘death by football.’ Well, the time for verticality is passing, as is horizonticality. Enrique has coined a new passage of football tactical excellence. We are now living in the age of diogonalidad. Like a footballing Chuka Umunna, Enrique has combined the best of the two dominant philosophies of our age to propose a third way, and with it, he has won the treble. But there’s a problem, and one that hints at why Enrique is unwilling to confirm he will be staying beyond this season at Barcelona. The club do not appear desperate to tie him down to a new contract, in fact, his position is no more secure than it was during the great bunfights of November and December. Lionel Messi has become predictable, and he is holding his side back. He is, as the experts say of other players, tactically toxic, and forces the rest of his side to play as we all know they will play. If you need evidence to convince you of what what is plain and obvious, then you can have evidence. Look at his goalscoring records. In the last six seasons he has not scored fewer than 40 goals in each of them, and has scored more than fifty of them in four of those years. Clubs know that Messi is the most dangerous goal-scoring threat, and so they prepare to stop him – remember David Moyes drilling his Real Sociedad side to steal a win under pressure in Barcelona – that was because Moyes learned from Alex Ferguson, who shut down Messi in 2007/8 to win the Champions League. The experts, like Ferguson and Moyes, knew how to deal with Messi, and the rest of La Liga and Europe started to catch on. It wasn’t just his goals that you could predict, it was his positioning. In tandem with Dani Alves, he would attack the right wing with Dani Alves, and slalom in from the wing to send goal after goal after goal into the far corner of the goal. Alternatively, he would dribble into the box to assist as colleague or score himself. As top goalscorer for Barcelona, it is obvious that a degree of selfishness has crept into his game. That’s when the fact tht Xavi Hernandez had to snap him out of his sloth in 2014, and he then overhauled his diet. His lethargy was one form of selfishness, doing what he wanted and almost forcing out Enrique as a result, and his goals are just the other side of the same coin. Predictable and selfish – it is no surprise that those of us in the know are of the opinion that Messi is counting down the days before he moves to somewhere more on his level, like Milan or Liverpool. Finally, a note of recognition in the last column of the season. Xavi has been a wonderful footballer for a decade, and has revolutionised football almost as much as Manuel Neuer has. We should wish him luck as he moves to Qatar to continue his grand, leftist struggle that he has learned from the politically communal and socialist background of Barcelona the city, the environment of Catalonia, and the foreground of one of the richest clubs in the world, Barcelona the club. Solidarity, comrade.

Chelsea have been set a price of £30million to complete the transfer of West Ham striker Enner Valencia. Enner Valencia has enjoyed an explosive debut season. The Blues are keen on a move for the Ecuadorian who has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League. The forward is also interested in a transfer across London but the Hammers are trying to price Chelsea out of a move, according to the Express. Jose Mourinho sees the 25-year-old as a different attacking option to Diego Costa as he looks to bolster his striking alternatives.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks set for a move away from Paris. Liverpool will reportedly have to pay £10.9million to complete the transfer of Paris St Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Reds are keen to bring the talismanic striker to Anfield and the relatively low price-tag is unlikely to put them off. The Swedish striker revealed to friends that he wanted to leave the Parisian giants and now PSG have set a price, according to Tuttomercatoweb. AC Milan are trying to secure a sentimental return of the Swedish international but he is supposedly hesitant. And with his price set so low, Liverpool will be tempted to try and hijack the deal.

Radja Nainggolan is reportedly free to transfer to Manchester United from Roma for a relatively cheap £10.9million. The powerful midfielder is reportedly set to leave Roma. The Belgian destroyer is apparently eyeing a move away from the Stadio Olimpico and Roma are willing to let him leave. Louis van Gaal is keen to add to his squad and the Serie A star is an enticing option. Roma are not keen to be drawn into a transfer saga and will accept a £10.9m offer, according to Fichajes.net. Valencia are interested in the defensive midfielder but United’s financial might should be enough to seal a deal.

Manchester United have reportedly completed a triple transfer swoop of Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Gaitan and Dani Alves. The Red Devils are desperate to land the trio as they look to claim the Premier League title. And they have supposedly landed all three stars early into the summer window, according to the Star. Liverpool’s Sterling is set to cause outrage amongst Reds fans by joining their bitter rivals. Barcelona right-back Alves will join on a free transfer and Benfica star Gaitan will complete a long awaited move. The question remains, Would this trio win them the title? Share your views..

Arsenal have reportedly made an opening £18.2million bid to complete the transfer of Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. The Gunners are keen to secure a move for the talented Frenchman and have opened negotiations with his club. The Frenchman has had an excellent season. Kondogbia, 22, has enjoyed an impressive season with the principality club but could be offloaded this summer to raise funds. Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the defensive destroyer and has offered a tempting amount of money, according to Fichajes.net. Monaco look set to reject the opening offer but a deal is seemingly edging closer.

Typically around this time of year, as the European soccer season draws to a close and summer begins, the league tables reset. For fans of most teams this is entirely irrelevant, but for those of us Arsenal fans who love idiosyncrasy or dumb jokes, it’s something much better. This is the time of year when Arsenal are top of the league, and nobody can do anything about it. You see, somewhere on the list of tiebreakers is “alphabetical order.” It rarely comes into play because two teams rarely have identical statistics to the point where it would, but when everyone’s played zero games it’s the only differentiating factor. Since Arsenal starts with the letter “A,” we’re usually on top. But this season there was another contender. AFC Bournemouth earned promotion from the Championship.”Af” comes before “Ar,” so many assumed that Bournemouth would top the Summer League (which is totally not a thing). BUT NO. The Premier League, for once, has allowed logic and truth to prevail. Throwing “AFC” at the start of the team name means nothing, and once again, Arsenal are atop the league. We’re by far the most alphabetical team the world has ever seen.

Arsenal have been cleared to complete the signing of Petr Cech after Chelsea reportedly agreed to let him join the Gunners. Cech has emerged as a £10million top transfer target for Arsenal this summer, with Arsene Wenger having doubts over the abilities of David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny. The 33-year-old is said to be happy to move to the Emirates Stadium, but the deal has hinged on Chelsea allowing him to join a rival. However, the Daily Telegraph now says Chelsea have agreed to let Cech join Arsenal, having decided the move is fine. The news is a significant boost for Arsenal who had been expecting Cech to be sold abroad instead.

Former Fifa administrator Chuck Blazer has admitted to facilitating the acceptance of bribes for the 1998 and 2010 World Cups in France and South Africa. Ex-American soccer official Blazer was a Fifa Executive Commity member from 1996 to 2013. The news follows president Sepp Blatter officially stepping down from his position on Tuesday, amid allegations of corruption and bribery at the top level of the sport. Blazer said: ‘I agreed with other persons in or around 1992 to facilitate the acceptance of a bribe in conjunction with the selection of the host nation for the 1998 World Cup. ‘Beginning in, or around, 2004 and continuing to 2011, I and others on the FIFA executive committee agreed to accept bribes in conjunction with the selection of South Africa as the host nation for the 2010 World Cup.’ The 70-year-old’s testimony was written in 2013 and was only revealed on Wednesday afternoon.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi earn an eye-watering £31million a year in salary combined but that figure has been trumped by a certain US TV star – Judge Judy. Judge Judy earns more than Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi combined with her new TV salary. The 72-year-old has just become the world’s best-paid television star by signing a £127m deal, which runs until 2020 and works out at £32m a year. Judy Sheindlin has been dispensing justice for CBS since 1996 and brings an average of 10.3m weekly viewers to her show. She also manages to squeeze all her filming into one day, so clearly does not like her time being wasted. Website Sportsgrid came up with the idea to rank where the judge would rank in the top earners of sport, excluding endorsement deals and prize money, and the results make interesting reading. 1 Sebastian Vettel, F1 – £54m a year 2. Floyd Mayweather, Boxing, £49m a year 3. Kimi Räikkönen, F1 35.6m a year 4. Judge Judy, TV £32m a year 5. Clayton Kershaw, Baseball, £21m a year While Messi (£16m salary a year) and Ronaldo (£15m a year) make the majority of their money from endorsement deals, Judge Judy’s new deal, which only sees her work one day a week, means she has to put a lot less work in for her money. Impressive work from the veteran judge.

Ahead of Chelsea’s post-season friendly against Thailand All-Stars Jose Mourinho ruled out a big spend over the summer but revealed that two or three players would likely be incoming. The Portuguese manager stressed that his priority is to keep his current crop of talent happy in order to sustain the Premier League champions’ success. Mourinho told the press: “We like the players, we are happy with the players. “Two or three are always coming to the club, that’s normal. The players I am looking for are my players, the players I want to keep. Last season I had players I wanted to sell.” He also added that it is difficult to improve on the players he already has. “The most important thing in the market is not to lose players. How can I find a better striker than Diego Costa? A better midfielder than (Nemanja) Matic? A better right-back than (Branislav) Ivanovic?” But Mourinho is a man that keeps his cards close to his chest and although he would be happy with his squad, for good reason as they’ve just been crowned the champions of England, he’s said before that no manager is ever fully satisfied and I’m sure the Blues will be in the running to compete for the finest talent available come July. As they are Chelsea are in a good state and will likely be challenging for the league again next season as their rivals have much to do before they can hope to match them, but sustaining success is easier said than done and Mourinho’s lack of a European title with the west London club will stick in his craw, it’s the one thing he’s missing. Chelsea fans know how much of a difference one or two signings can make, look at the impact of Costa and Cesc Fabregas this season. It may not take much to make Chelsea a serious player in Europe once again and if Mourinho can claim the signature of players the quality of a Raphael Varane, Antoine Griezmann or even Gareth Bale, then they’ll be well on their way.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms with Nicolas Otamendi to sign him from Valencia. The Argentine centre back has been subject of three bids in recent transfer windows from United, with club scouts raving about his performances. And while previous attempts to sign him have failed, United now looking like they’re getting places, with reports in South America saying he’s accepted a move to Old Trafford. It’s understood that Otamendi has agreed terms on a contract, and while a fee needs to be agreed with Valencia, that should be easy now. Otamendi is valued at £36.5million.
