In a move that injects fresh energy and a technocratic vision into the political arena, renowned academic, philanthropist, and business mogul Professor Christopher Irene Imumolen has officially emerged as the presidential flag bearer for the Accord Party.

His emergence highlights a growing demand for a vibrant, youthful, and highly competent alternative to conventional political leadership in Nigeria.

Professor Imumolen, an indigene of Edo State, brings an exceptionally robust academic and professional background to the race.

Holding two distinct doctorate degrees—one in Engineering Research and another in Educational Management—he has carved out a stellar reputation as a Forbes-recognized educator and serial entrepreneur.

As the founder of Unique Open University, amongst other ventures, Prof. Imumolen has driven massive social impact initiatives, including providing educational scholarships to over 100,000 students across Africa and distributing business grants to thousands of small scale entrepreneurs.

Accepting the nomination, Imumolen delivered a powerful address emphasizing that citizens can no longer afford to fold their hands or remain passive in the face of ongoing national challenges.

The Real Puppet Masters: Prof. Chris Imumolen Unmasks the Faces Behind Nigeria’s Insecurity

While many focus on the gunmen in the streets, Prof. Chris Imumolen argues that we are looking at the wrong target. In this explosive video, he strips away the layers of propaganda to reveal that the "real enemy" isn't the foot soldier, but the powerful sponsors and financiers orchestrating chaos for selfish political and economic gain. These hidden actors strategically strike at Nigeria's most vulnerable points, not just to cause harm, but to systematically weaken the economy and shatter the public's faith in leadership. Watching this video is essential for anyone who wants to understand why traditional security measures aren't working and who is truly profiting from the nation's instability.

The former youngest presidential candidate doesn't just identify the problem; he issues a bold challenge to both the government and the citizenry to stop being victims of blackmail. He insists that the safety of lives and property must transcend political loyalty, calling for a massive investment in intelligence, forest guards, and technology to expose the powerful elite hiding behind the curtain. As citizens, we are urged to reject the narratives that turn us against one another and instead join a unified front against those trading in blood.

Watch the full video now to discover why Prof. Imumolen believes the fight for a secure Nigeria is one that no citizen can afford to sit out.

BusinessNiger Delta Economic And Investment Summit Accuses Ag. Registrar Of Compromise by OnlineStreet(op): 12:16pm On Jun 01
Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit Accuses Ag. Registrar of Compromise in Trademark Dispute

The founder of the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit (NDEIS), Kunle Nwiya Jnr, has accused the Registrar of the Trademark Registry, Department of Commercial Law, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, of alleged compromise and deliberate delay in handling an ongoing trademark dispute involving the summit’s identity.

Nwiya alleged that the Registrar has failed to issue an administrative order restraining the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture from using the name “Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit” for their forthcoming programme.

The NDEIS founder maintained that the summit brand is a legally protected identity that his organisation has developed over the years into a recognised platform for economic dialogue, investment promotion, and regional development within the Niger Delta, long before the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce.

In a petition submitted through its legal representatives, NDEIS urged the Trademark Registry to immediately direct the Chamber of Commerce to suspend the use of the disputed name pending the resolution of issues surrounding ownership and trademark rights.

However, following what the organisation described as prolonged inaction by the Registry, Nwiya has accused the Acting Registrar of complicity and underhand dealings aimed at frustrating efforts to protect the trademark.

According to the petition, the continued use of the name by the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce amounts to a violation of the summit’s intellectual property rights and an attempt to undermine the authority of the Trademark Registry by proceeding with preparations for the event despite pending complaints before the Registry.

The legal team representing NDEIS stated that their client fully complied with all directives issued by the Registry, including appearing before officials with original documents and evidence intended to establish statutory ownership and prior rights over the “Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit” identity.

The petition further argued that allowing the Chamber of Commerce to proceed with the event under the disputed name could create what the lawyers described as a “fait accompli” before the Registry reaches a final determination on the matter.

NDEIS lawyers warned that failure by the Trademark Registry to take urgent protective measures may compel their client to approach the courts for injunctive relief to restrain further use of the name pending legal determination of the dispute.

Speaking on Friday, Nwiya alleged that despite honouring an invitation by the Registrar and waiting for several hours at the Registry, was unavailable and failed to meet with him over the matter.

He also accused the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment of showing reluctance in compelling the Acting Registrar to issue an interim administrative order suspending the planned summit until the trademark dispute is resolved.

“The continued silence and delay are raising serious concerns about fairness and transparency in the handling of this matter,” Nwiya said.

The dispute is centred on ownership, recognition, and commercial rights associated with the “Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit” brand, which has gained significant visibility within economic and investment circles across the Niger Delta region.

While NDEIS insists that its trademarked identity is being unlawfully used, the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture had not issued any official response to the allegations as of the time of filing this report.

HealthInfant's Tragic Death Exposes Systemic Rot At UATH, Gwagawalada by OnlineStreet(op): 12:02pm On May 20
Analyst Alleges Negligence, Administrative Rot at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital

A public affairs analyst and development expert, Suleiman Musa Ahmed, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant health authorities to urgently investigate alleged negligence and systemic failures at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital following the death of an 11-month-old baby at the facility’s Emergency Paediatric Unit.

Ahmed, in a strongly worded statement issued in Abuja, described the hospital as “the new mortuary for paediatrics and infants,” alleging that poor emergency response, inadequate medical supplies and administrative lapses contributed to the death of baby Barakat Ayuba Umar.

According to him, the incident occurred after he received an emergency call from relatives over the deteriorating health condition of the infant, who reportedly suffered convulsion after being treated for malaria.

He said the child was rushed from Dakwa area of Abuja to the teaching hospital in Gwagwalada in the early hours of Thursday, where doctors and nurses on duty immediately commenced emergency treatment to stabilise her condition.

Ahmed, however, alleged that serious lapses were observed during the treatment process.

“The pharmacy in-house did not have even a plaster to properly secure the line connected to the baby’s drip, leading to repeated removal of the cannula during an emergency situation,” he alleged.

According to him, the repeated interruption affected the flow of medication and oxygen supply needed to stabilise the child, whose condition later worsened into a coma.

He further alleged that despite the baby’s unstable condition and breathing difficulties, medical personnel transferred her from the emergency unit to another ward against his protest.

“Why move a baby in a clear case of breathing difficulty without stabilising her first?” he queried.

Ahmed said the movement allegedly disrupted the medical line again, leading to cardiac arrest.

He disclosed that efforts by medical personnel to revive the infant through cardio-pulmonary resuscitation failed, and the baby was pronounced dead at about 7:43 a.m.

The analyst also accused some hospital officials of negligence and poor accountability, alleging that the records officer on night duty was absent until dawn, while the chief matron only appeared after the situation deteriorated.

“The insensitive and obvious negligence made me reflect on the five-hour sad experience at the Emergency Paediatric Unit and conclude that many helpless Nigerians are suffering the same fate,” he said.

He described the development as a reflection of what he termed the “rot” within the hospital system and urged the Federal Government to prioritise reforms in tertiary healthcare institutions across the country.

Ahmed specifically called on the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Thairu Yunusa, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ali Pate, the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, as well as the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Health, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and initiate reforms

“It is time to put a stop to medical negligence and sheer irresponsibility by those entrusted with managing our tertiary hospitals across the country,” Ahmed stated.

He also sympathised with the bereaved family, praying for comfort and strength for the parents over what he described as “an irreplaceable loss.”

BusinessBet9ja Foundation's Nationwide Impact: Youth Empowerment And More Across 29 Stat by OnlineStreet(op): 11:39am On Oct 03, 2024
Bet9ja Foundation's Nationwide Impact: Youth Empowerment and More Across 29 States

The Bet9ja Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering Nigerians and driving sustainable development nationwide. The organisation focuses on five key areas: Youth Empowerment, Healthcare, Sports Development, Education, and Community Infrastructure.

The organisation has significantly impacted 29 states and 150 communities in the past year. From providing clean water sources in Kaduna to organising football matches in Owerri, we are committed to reaching every corner of Nigeria.

Making a Difference in Every Corner of Nigeria
Our projects are as diverse as the communities we serve. In Lagos, we hosted a women's football competition to promote gender equality and sportsmanship. In Ikotun, we empowered young people with vocational skills by providing them with tailoring machines and clippers. In Warri, we organised a fitness festival to encourage healthy living.
These are just a few examples of how we're working to improve Nigerians' lives. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we're committed to providing the resources and support necessary to make that happen.

Youth Empowerment: Investing in the Future
Young people are Nigeria's future, and we're dedicated to empowering them with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed. Our Young Executive Program (YEP) is a prime example of this commitment.
YEP is an intensive three-month program that equips young graduates with essential workplace skills. The program has been a huge success, with participants reporting increased employability and a greater sense of empowerment.
"YEP has been a game-changer for me," says one recent graduate. "I feel much more confident in my abilities and I'm excited about the future."

Community Infrastructure: Building a Better Tomorrow
Strong communities need strong infrastructure. That's why we're investing in projects that improve Nigerians' quality of life.
In Ogun State, we installed solar panel streetlights to provide safe and reliable lighting. In Kaduna, we constructed boreholes to provide access to clean water. And in Anambra, we installed 3-in-1 solar lights to improve safety and security.
These projects have had a profound impact on the communities we serve. Residents report feeling safer, healthier, and more connected.
"The new streetlights have made a world of difference," says one resident of Ogun State. "We can now walk around at night without fear."

Healthcare: Promoting Well-being for All
Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. Unfortunately, many Nigerians face challenges in getting the care they need. We're working to change that.
We've conducted medical outreach programs nationwide, providing free health screenings, medications, and education to underserved communities. In Bauchi, we screened residents for blood pressure and blood sugar levels. In Cross River, we provided free eye examinations and corrective lenses. And in Delta, we distributed health kits and conducted health assessments.
These programs are making a real difference in the lives of Nigerians. We're helping people stay healthy, get treatment, and live longer, more fulfilling lives.

Sports Development: Fostering Teamwork and Empowerment
Sports have the power to bring people together and empower individuals. We believe everyone should be able to participate in sports, regardless of their background or ability.
We're supporting grassroots sports development across Nigeria. In Imo, we organised a football match to showcase young athletes' talents. In Yobe, we hosted a sports event to promote community building. And in Abuja, we sponsored an annual boxing and football competition.
We're also proud to sponsor Nigeria's Para-Powerlifting team. These incredible athletes inspire us all, and we're committed to supporting them as they compete on the world stage.

Education: Unlocking Potential
Education is the key to unlocking potential. It empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and drives progress.
We're investing in educational initiatives that bridge the knowledge gap and promote opportunities for all. In Imo, we conducted ICT and communication training to equip students with essential skills. In Benue, we provided laptops to young people participating in an ICT skill acquisition program.
We believe that everyone deserves access to quality education and are committed to providing the resources and support necessary to make that a reality.

Conclusion: Building a Brighter Future, Together
The Bet9ja Foundation has made significant strides in empowering Nigerians and driving sustainable development. We're proud of our impact, but we know there's still much more to do.
We're committed to continuing our work to build a brighter future for all Nigerians. We believe that by working together, we can create a Nigeria where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
