You have actually not stated where Jesus asked his disciples not to pick up titles.
In matthew 23, his focus was on the hypocritical lifestyle of the Pharisees. He condemned their taken up title and even their giving of alms, praying and preaching not because these were bad but because it had an hypocritical tone.
Christianity is not a Cult, don't be creating unnecessary restrictions and rules that bear no weight in kingdom matter.

You cannot just pick up a text and generalize it to create a rule.

As long as there is no clear condemnation of picking up titles in the scriptures, your creating such rule is simply adding to the Bible.

Let's stick to the do's and donts that are clear in the Bible instead of adding.

Titles attached our names is what Jesus taught us to always avoid so in the first century none of Jesus' followers attached titles to their names.

Whatever title you call it as long as it's recognizable publicly Christians don't bear it what we do is act as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers {Ephesians 4:11} but never to attach such titles to our names publicly.

Jesus himself did exactly the same when he walked the earth he restricted his disciples from attaching his office to his name. For instance Jesus is the Christ so he warned them never to attach that title to his name until he is gone. Matthew 16:20
That is exactly the same thing he taught his disciples so none of them bears the titles publicly as they mix up with their fellow believers as brothers! Matthew 23:8
True Christians have all these offices in our midst today but you can't hear any of us bear the title in the public only our fellow believers knows our assignment in the congregation.
