As I write this... I am depressed, simply depressed.. If suicide led to heaven mayb i would have been a victim.
Truly itz nt everyone who smiles that is happy.
MY story
I was born into a deeper life family 20yrs ago.. And I can say i regret being born into deeper life.. I would ave preferred been converted there than being born there.
My travails started in secondary school.. Wen i failed to attend a fellowship, my mum talked harshly, slapped me an said i was a dishes disgrace.. Just because i failed to attend a school fellowship.. And I knew that I wasn't a bad kid.. Jes the gentle type.. Since then it has been bad... When others celebrate their mum.. I can't.. I am as far from my parents as anything.. Jes because they are deeperlifers.. I can't seat comfortably with my parents.. Cos of principles. Next was the battle concerning trousers.. She woke me up one black night with a thundering slap over a slim trouser.. Imagine dat was @16.. I cried and cried dat day.. Dat God made a mistake borning me in deeper life... Jes because i walked with a girl.. She banned me from going out..
Even at a young age... Threatened me that she"ll disown me if I marry a lady who wears wigs, trousers.. Omg.. Now.. I am in the university.. I never want to go home. I hate home.. I am depressed.. So so depressed.. My dad didn't send me any cash for a month cos a friend told him I failed to attend a midweek service.. Imagine.. Yet i am not rebellious. I know fellow guys like me who had big problems with their children but they were rebellious.. But i am not
I feel depressed writing this.. Spirituality without love is a disaster.. Aw i wish i wasn't born to a deeper life's family.. Itz a curse.. I am tired.. Itz threat all the time. I am not close to my parents.. Imagine.. Seems i should just die.. I now see my mum as a enemy.. Anytime i see her i am sad.. Talks too much about simple things in a bad manner quoting Bible over needless things.. Watching ball outside is a sin.. Visiting friends is a nono.. Cos they are highly placed in the church.. Yet no one to share my burdens with.. So sad... Yet they think i am happy..i know many out there experience something similar but are helples.. Oh God have mercy on me.. Itz calamitous to be the child of a fanatic especially if you don't wanna be a fanatic also.... Advice pls.. What can I do? So so depressed.. Feel like dieing to be reborn elsewhere

I wish i had parents like yours.Its when you lose them that you will know wether they love you or not.When outsiders maltreat you,you will know the difference.

Hello nairalanders, I just wish I'll get a shoulder or two to cry on tonight. Things are becoming unbearable for me and I don't know how far I can walk on these shoes. Here's my story...


I am 28 and married to a 35yr old youngman whom I love so dearly. We are blessed with 2 kids and most material things one can pray for. My marriage is 5yrs with just minor issues that do come up once in a VERY LONG while.

The problem is that my hubby does not show me affection and hardly approaches me for sex. I am a very neat, beautiful, Godfearing, educated and classy lady. Most times I am the one who initiates intimacy in our marriage. My heart breaks each time I read or hear of women who deny their husbands sex because its an opposite in my case. For more than two months now we've not been intimate. To make matters worse, he prefers to sleep in the sitting room or children's room than in our matrimonial room.

He always pretends to be tired but not too tired to be chatting on whatsapp with friends. I have his password, that is not an issue. I am not suspecting anything even though I'm not totally ruling out the possibility of adultery. He comes back very late in the night unlike before. Infact even when he comes early these days, he will rather stay with friends within the street or house than come inside. Believe me nairalanders, we don't have issues. Infact he keeps saying that God blessed him with a wonderful woman. It's not like I make the house uncomfortable for him. The only communication we have these days is greetings, asking how the day went or few general topics.

I am not a woman who can't do without sex but I just need to be shown affection even if sex is not there. Committing adultery on my own part is IMPOSSIBLE, i will rather opt for divorce. I am so confused, lonely and heartbroken. I love my husband beyond the word LOVE. I just wish he can see the tears in my eyes as I lay lonely on our bed each night. I am very fragile by nature and gets hurt easily. Believe me...this is killing me.

Please, people drop a word or two for a hurting soul.

I read your story and am touched by it.Its obvious when men begin to avoid there wife/wives just like the way you've narated,it clearly shows that something is definitely wrong.When a man begins to avoid his wife either quietly or glaringly something is very very wrong.
I know what am talking about not from book or paper or internet experience,but from practical experience.

My advice:First and foremost,pray about it,talk to God about it for direction on what to do.The God factor in any marriage is
very,very key i.e important. Secondly, take him out,to either his favourite place or to any quiet place alone, you and him and truthfully talk to him,talk to each
other alone,don't try to prove you are right or know it all,a lot of men don't like this habit in women,wether you are more educated than him,have more money than him etc etc,in marriage put all that aside,its possible there's something you're doing that he does not like or he has subtly told you something he does not like and you are not doing anything about it.For example,though men differ,there are some men that like their women to respect them in a particular way and the woman is not doing it the way theman wants,the man may have quietly or subtly told the woman to have a change and perhaps she has not taken the man serious and not doing anything about it.Find out yours when you talk with him alone.Many men(especially married) are highly coded,esp the matured type,they talk to you codedly,it will take you a lot of maturity and wisdom to decode.

Be plain,open up with him,talk to him truthfully,even if he does not open up immediately,press on determingly,don't give up,be consistent in your talk with him respectfully and lovingly,he will open up with time.Women have this power,this innate ability to sway a man to doing things which a lot of women themselves don't even realize,tap into that power,mark my words,with RESPECT,LOVE,CONSISTENCY and wait patiently for the amazing result.

I would have continued but for lack of time...remember your marriage will work if you are determined to let it.

The whole deal was just for them to train and thats all.. NLNG got it all wrong.. if you see the treatment given to the trainees after they returned you will get to understand that NLNG or SHI or HHI dont even have time for us... HHI presently has a job in Niger Dock but they cant call those they trained for the job. well lets wait for the dry dock project which is set to commence next year...

Jideflow,I believe there is something we can do to avert this ugly trend,even if we do not benefit from it,at least for the next generation of trainees,we can do something.We can take up this issues with the apprioprate government agency so that something can be done for the trainees.At least if they cannot employ them,at least they should be given something to stand on their own.At least with the new government,somebody will listen if we push.Change must start from somewhere.
The money involved is this whole programme is Nigerian money,so as Nigerians,we are entitiled to fully benefit from the programme,e.g we can take it up with the national assembly,servicom,Nigerian content board etc and let them no that,it makes no sense to train people and just abandon them,am sure the nationals of other countries will not this treatment meted to Nigerians.
I am pained that Nigerians,our own people are supporting a thing like this.How can you train people and throw them away.

HHI built 2 not 4. SHI built 4 n not 2.

For me what really matter is for them to retain people after training,even if it is for some few years,at least to put the training acquired into practice,the truth of the whole matter is that,it makes no sense training people for 3 months and them let them go without tapping from their knowledge or empowering them to stand on their own.
My prayer to God is that God should touch the management of HHI and SHI and indeed the Nigerian government to wade in and do something about this aspect of the training.
If in all 6 ships will be built for NLNG,Nigerians trained in various aspect of ship building by HHI and SHI should be involved in the building of the 6 ships,so that Nigerian can have practical hands-on experience in ship building.
If they do this,then the training would have been meaningful to trainees.

I read in the papers today that trainees of SHI i.e Samsung Heavy Industries Trainees will be retained after training.I don't know wether HHI will do the same.SHI have been contracted to build 2 ships for NLNG while HHI will built 4 ships for NLNG,so it is expected that HHI should engage/retain more of their trainees after the training programme.

Those of us currently on training for basic welding at Bonny island,how far? any information on this.
According to the report,it does not make any sense to train people for a skill and then drop them like trash,without engaging them.

We need to start preparing from now.
