Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command yesterday, neutralized one notorious armed bandit and in the process, recovered an operational motorcycle in Kidandan, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Mohammed Jalige, made available yesterday.


"Today 7/5/2023 at about 10:30hrs, Operatives attached to 47 Police Mobile Force (PMF) deployed to Kaya on routine patrol along Fatika Road, sighted a gang of armed bandits riding on motorcycles, dressed in military camouflage.

"The gallant Operatives swung into action immediately, engaged the bandits in fierce gun duel and were given a hot chase in the process, one bandit dressed in military camouflage was neutralized, while others escaped with varying degrees of bullet wounds, One bandits operational motorcycle was recoverd," the statement said.

Meanwhile, aggressive patrols along the road have been intensified with a view to forestall future occurrence

The Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command, CP MY. Garba commended the gallantry and professionalism exhibited by the personnel, while urging them to sustain the onslaught against banditry and other forms of criminality in the state.

I am not kidding.. I was out trying to start my car when this rare insect landed on my car. It was my wife that first stumbled upon it and the way she screamed startled me.. I asked what it was and when she pointed to this scary beauty, I was in awe. I caught it with a broom as I was scared to not be infected by ebola virus.

I took a picture, used Google lens to activate a search algorithm and see if there are matches and the next thing I saw was about the insect being a collector's item.

I know Nigeria is one kind but since I do not know what it takes to preserve history and this rare insect, I am open to giving it off to the right organisation who can preserve and look after it.
