Job Description:
Develop long range plan and direction for the department.
Develop annual budgetary plan for network service department (OPEX and CAPEX)
Ensure certain acceptance criteria for new site & node integration.
Oversee and ensure smooth integration of new network elements into the operational network.
Ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures of MTNN
Manage and ensure MTN core network is operated and maintained to company and market requirements as well as ITU.
Oversee prompt management of major core network faults
Ensure continuous monitoring of operations and performance of the core network
Review weekly reports on overall performance of the core network are available
Make contributions on core network performance to the NWG monthly report
Develop new philosophies or new user requirements on high level specifics for core network elements & nodes
Ensure prompt review of contracts
Manage various suppliers/vendors and negotiate contract with suppliers to get the best terms for network services department
Ensure tools and test equipment are available and stay abreast of the technology evolution
Manage various core activities of the subdivisions within the division, in order to achieve the objectives of the division
Ensure optimization of resources within the department

Job Conditions: Normal MTNN working conditions International and National travel On stand by 24/7 through out the year
Reporting To: GM Network Operations
Required Skills:
Ten (10) years experience in telecommunications environment
5 years experience managing a similar function at the national level in a multinational organization

Qualification:
B.Sc Electrical/Electronics or Communications Engineering MBA or MSC in a related field will be desirable
