Car Talk › Re: You Should Never Remove Your Car Thermostat To Avoid Overheating. by Onyenna(m): 8:03am On Feb 25, 2018 |
oluwaseunla: No they don't. Overheating occurs everywhere, whether Nigeria or western world. A troubleshoot is meant to be carried out, and problem fixed, not just yanking thermostats. Nigerian mechs are too lazy or lack expertise to find exactly why a car overheats, so they just remove thermostat which is really sad considering the long term effects. All my cars run on thermostats without issues. Okay... Thanks a lot |

iamjavadem: And how is your fuel consumption? Change radiator instead of thermostat. Radiator sizes vary per region but thermostat doesn’t. I am sure you also believe Toyota’s are fuel economical, joke of the century. Wonderful how Nigerians always seem to know more than the manufacturer. Okay... Thanks... |

id4sho: your vehicle has hidden issues which will come up sooner or later .How about vehicles from TEXAS and DUBAI that's hotter than Nigeria. Do you know that Peugeot assembled in kaduna come with thermostat. check innoson ... But how come the imported cars with thermostat now develope issues here in Nigeria?... |
Car Talk › Re: You Should Never Remove Your Car Thermostat To Avoid Overheating. by Onyenna(m): 7:40am On Feb 25, 2018 |
idiagbo86: I still wonder why cars driven in very hot region like dubai have thermostat installed.i think op gat a point here .instead of removing ur thermostat,I guess u go for a bigger radiator .oyibo wen make motor know sey every part dey important .I have been a victim of mechanics removing my thermostat 2 times . Thermostat have ruined several cars here in 9ja with constant overheating..... Once removed, the overheating stops instantly and the engine becomes sane again... I've seen first hand what that thing does to cars in this region... If truely Innoson cars have thermostat[like someone said here], then i wonder why imported cars with thermostat develop overheating issues..... Or maybe they weren't actually "tweaked" for our environment.... I'm certain car manufacturers consider climate conditions when manufacturing cars for a particular region... |

Thermostat almost ruined my dad's car with constant overheating!!..... After the removal, the car has never had a single episode of overheating in 3yrs and the engine is in perfect condition till date.... No issues at all...
This thermostat ish is kinda confusing oooh...

The cars we import from countries with Snow weren't actually made for countries without snow... I'm aware that cars used in places like UAE are specifically made to suit their "very Hot" Environment.... |

FSDH Research is of the view that the trade structure between the UK and Nigeria favours the UK. The proposed incentives may further place Nigeria at a disadvantage. This is because of the weak exports potential of Nigeria to the UK. Nigeria needs strategic policies to drive local competiveness in production in order to take advantage of the opportunities in the international markets."
This is the major problem... The problem is from within...
Another advantage is that other African countries might as well use the Naira to purchase goods from UK...
The Disadvantage i see here is that our people will likely "over import"[even the unnecessary things]..... There's still a lil bit of craze for foreign things....
Since they're no longer in the EU, Nigeria will become their new dumping ground market for several goods already piling up....
We don't produce NADA!... We're a consuming nation.... The best we can offer them now is Crude oil.... Our Agricultural sector is nothing to write home about[and not forgetting the Fulani wahala] at the moment.... If we can massively improve our agricultural sector, then, 9ja might smile....

Sunray2030: The main thing is not even wat u graduated wit, Wat oyibo need from u is ur experience & wat u can do. Certificate is just a plus. Exactly... I have a friend who dropped out of school[RSUST] and travelled to dubai almost 5yrs ago... He got a job with Mercedes[without any degree ooh].... He later enrolled in one of the universities there and graduated last year.... He still works there till date and just started building his house here..... Certificate is an added advantage [and a must] especially here in Africa.... But in advanced countries, they don't care about your Certificate, they just want to know what you have to offer... Simple... |

3html: I graduated with 2.9 it was so painful though at then, i threw away the certificate (in my box) then face life squarely, working as an independent web designer, freelancer, and above all a die hard blogger hahahahahaha.
I can boast of a bungalow that cost over 9million Above all i make 360k monthly
Any body that tells u your certification is 100% tied to your success I beg you disagree with such a fellow Thank you very much..... I graduated with 3.0[2:2 mech. Engr.]. It wasn't painful for me cos i always knew my Success wasn't tied to my Certificate.... I first started selling 2nd hand tyres...While @ it, i learnt web designing and python programming for the fun of it...BUT.... I'm into Haulage now and it's awesome[ventured into Hualage 3yrs ago].....I now have people working for me[....and i pay them monthly]... [NB: i suspended web designing and programming like 3yrs ago......I still have my note with all my codes in tact cos i have this feeling that I'll start coding again in the future... For fun of course].... |
