CHAPTER 41
The park was busy and noisy, roadside seller were shouting and trying to sell their wares. I was escorted by a conductor to his bus where I sat next to a nursing mother who had a wailing baby in her arm. After staying for some good amount of time,people started screaming on top of their voices at the driver and conductor who paid them no heed as they were busy calling out to passengers. GARRISON! RUMUOLA!! WATERLINES!!! One chance, going bus! the conductor continued screaming.
After a long wait,the bus fen Ally moved, I breathe the breathe of relieve, it was as if a big load had been removed from my shoulder, all I could think about was my mum who I had not seen for almost a year now. I was still thinking what her reaction would be if she see me when I felt a touch. I turned to see it was from the baby who was now smiling at me and stretching herself towards me. my heart almost melted when I saw her cute smile. I stretch out my arm and carried her into my arm as i played Wit her & she kept laughing & displaying her cute gums. OKPOALA! NGWA IEEKWUE!! UGBA JUNCTION any dropping screamed the conductor again. Yet there was no response. Everywhere in the bus had suddenly become silent,even the baby in my arm had long fallen asleep. So I tried to hand her over to her mom but as soon as her body touched her mom's arm,she started wailing uncontrollably until I carried her back into my arm before she could go back to sleep. I watched her sleep, the look in her face was so peaceful, free of worries and free of the knowledge of the wickedness and sufferings of this world. For the first time since I grew to be an adult I had the wish to return to been a baby like her who had nothing to worry about apart from her mom's breast milk. Looking at this baby sleep,all I could do was smile to myself so much that anyone who saw me then would surely certify me as someone who had gone completely insane. OSISI OMA! TONIMAS!! FLY OVER! OBEHIE!!! IMO GATE!!!. IMO GATE the baby Mama screamed back at the conductor.
At fly over, the driver stopped,came down and another driver replaced him and started the bus as he piloted the bus away. After sometime he ON the radio and tuned to rhythm 93.7 FM where 2BABA song RAINBOW was playing. I was. Still sing silently to the song when they started talking and after sometime went back to music with FANCY song which he titled SHARP PAIN. It a new song to me as I had heard it not even once so I listened carefully to it lyrics.

The music Was still playing then it was stop abruptly with the presenter talking. It was then I noticed that two ladies in front row had being singing the song. So when the song stopped,the ladies continued discussing about the song,how it turned out to be one of his most mega hit and how much they loved the song over his other songs.
I was so much in thought about many things but was brought back by the conductor who was asking for my transportation fare. I paid for mine and the baby's mom who thanked me but I replied with just smiling and without saying a word.
I leaned my head on the bus frame as I drifted back into thought only to be brought back again by the baby mother who wanted to go down. I handed her sleeping baby over to her while she thanked me more still i spoke no word only smiles. after she went down, I searched my handbag till I saw my earpiece then I plugged it to my phone and started playing BANKY W new album SONG FOR YOU while the driver continued zooming away
