Found this on this online by chance, I have called the Tailor and would probably patronise him as he is in the businnes for 23yrs. I will keep you inform on my return from Naija. http://www.englishcut.com/archives/cat_people.html |
Am sure they are all over the places, thats why am asking for recommendation rather than trying without good recommendation. |
Hi Guys, Can anyone advise or recommend a very good tailor that could compete with the Savile Row Tailors. Am sure there would be some good tailors in lag that could come with the goods. Any ideas please as I would be travelling to Lagos soon and would like to try having a bespoke suit while there. Thanks in advance. |
This is one of the most important topic I have come across on nairaland recently but it is not a new thing as its just a case of getting used to it as a way of life when in Naija I think its high time this is actually discusses and most important find a solution in ny little way we can think of. Am also sure there is a big opportunity here in opening a Customer Service business for some who genuinely cares about changing things and I think this idea could be sold to big business while highlighting the benefits of good Customer Service. Having said all these even in Europe there is still on going training for staffs at big companies and they all have different level of Customer service ,the best company or business for with A1 customer service as far as am concerned in London at least is John Lewis. We all know Customer Service in Naija is a problem and I tell you find a solution to a problem and you are close to been financially free. Even in naija --- YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Thanks Londoncool, She actually has a UK Passport through birth, so we need to see what happens next if we do challenge it or wait till her UK passport expires and then see if she can apply for ROA on her Nigerian P. Another reason I opted for ROA on my Nigeria P at the time is so I could have a 2yr B1/B2 US Visa on my Nigeria P which I then use to obtain a US licence and SS which made it easier for me to do business /Investing over there without too many obstacles. Thanks once again |
Tread carefully my bother. I have 4 brokers (Union Capital Market, cashcraft, ZSL and Marina Securities was not by choice but as they happen to deal with Access Shares convereted from Standard bank or Trust years back. My observation when I went to their office @ Saka Tinubu was not great, but having said all these if you have a good rapport with one of the brokers you might do well rather than dealing with the a faceless company. Cashcraft is a no no to a lot of ppl here and rightly so but most of my trades is with them as I deal directly with an Agbero broker whom I got introduced to recently - moral of the story is that I do not deal with Cashcraft per se but use them as a medium through my Agbero broker that i knew before cashcraft. Good luck! |
@ londoncool Please help me dissect the attached zipped form or you can use the link to get to the form from my previous post. cheers! |
@ VOR Thanks @ Londoncool Thanks for expanding on the issue. I actually went through the same process in 2005 applying for ROA on my Nigerian Passport after sending in my UK Passport and there was no issue at the time, all went well. Now that my wife wants to apply for her own it looks like the goal post has been moved. According to the form (attached zipped file) it appears you can no longer apply for ROA if you have a UK passport. Any taker to look at the form attached and advise on the question below; 1. Are you elligible if you simply do not have a UK passport at your disposal i.e declared lost or expired? BTW - she would rather have one passport that could do the job of 2 passports ( Nigerian Passport with ROA) Thanks for all contributors am sure someone else will find your advise or opinions informative. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/righttoliveinuk/claimrightofabode/application/ Thanks |
Can anyone advise if a British Citizen (Uk Passport Holder) with Nigerian passport can still apply for ROA on a Nigerian passport? |
Thanks Africaface, I actually know the difference but not sure how much ITIL has been adopted in Nigeria. I will appreciate any material you could send regarding ITIL. I think I can easily move into ITIL role rather than project management as I am currently working in the IT Service delivery. Opson@hotmail.co.uk Thanks for your time. |
