An office colleague of mine had a similar experience with Jumia. He ordered a camera and the accessories and paid immediately online. 3 days later he is told they don't have it and that he should order another. He did call to enquire about another camera which they attested to having in stock. He paid the difference in cash to them and they confirmed receipt via mail. After promising delivery within 3-5 days they wrote him that it was not available again. He asked for a refund which took additional 10days. The whole failed transaction took over a month, with over 10 mails flying to and fro and numerous calls to their customer care. Today Tope is attending to you tomorrow you start explaining from the beginning to Alabi and then next tomorrow it's back to square one with Adeola. My question is why advertise what you don't have and encourage people to pay for them. That is obviously a scam by any standard. The only method for shopping at Jumia without heartbreak is to pay on delivery.

gbokukueba: Dude i dont want to go into details because one of ther staff intervened and ensured it was resolved. What else can be termed scammed? If you offer a product for sale and i pay you only for you to come back to me saying you no longer have that product that and gave me 2 other options. And i say ok give me one of the 2 you recommended, you came back again saying you dont have it and i say give me the 3rd one you recommended and you still say you dont have it. I checked your store again and i say give me thsi one am seeing and you still say you dont have it then you tell me you have one that is not even up to my first choice...
