I was going to meet a friend last weekend at Surulere as we were hoing to have fun after a busy week. At last the case had been resolved. We were there today and they apologised. Cos there is no more l N9,we were given a brand new tecno g9. Though not 10 inces as the other n9 but at least it's better than none.thanks to mod and everyone who had contributed meaningfully. They promised they have changed.(fingers crossed).let's believe so. 1 you claimed to be selling Tecno phones before but due to the experience you had you didn't sell their products again? But we all know you as importer of Chinese made products, Tecno's competitor, I haven't seen you post anything about Tecno products before

2 You said Tecno N9 is a 10 inch, another lie. How come you don't know the products you are selling? We have people who are still using this tablet today they can gladly tell you it's 8 inch tablet.

3 If truly you were given a Tecno G9 by Tecno you have just scammed them. Your agents are all here supporting you, we kw them.

Of the myriad of hi-tech toys out there screaming for our attention on a daily basis, none fascinates me

more than smartphones. My natural gravitation towards smartphones have seen me transit from a mere

gadget freak to a Tech journalist; sniffing out the best mobile devices in the market and giving mobile

users reason to get their next smartphone.

So, doing my routine online search for top smartphones brands making the rounds this first quarter of

2016, an unexpected newcomer, TECNO BOOM J8 popped up among the all too familiar buzz makers

such as the Samsung Galaxy S7, iPhone 6s ,HTC M10 and LG G5. I set out to look out for one, and I got

the chance to use it for about a week, thanks to my geeky Tech blogger friend.

I share my experience from using the BOOM J8:



Slim and Beautiful Design Luxury, Ultra-Thin Metal Frame

First thing you notice is the sleek nature of this smartphone (it does have a slight resemblance with the

iPhone though). The BOOM J8 comes in a 7.35mm thick body with a frame of 3.5mm. It is said to be an

equivalent of 20 pieces of paper, and acclaimed as the slimmest music phone yet. I find this really cool

especially as I don’t appreciate having to worry about how my smartphone would fit into the pocket of

my slim fitted pants; a lot of weight it will be . Ultra slim devices always give off a subtle and classy

feel, and that’s clearly what the BOOM J8 has.




The perfect grasp feeling; easy for one hand usage.

5.5inch screen are generally called phablets, but I personally define that based on how easily I can grasp

and use the device with one hand. In both the width and the length, the Boom J8 does appear smaller

than many other 5.5’’ display smartphones. Having a screen to body ratio of 77.35%, this is quite an

improvement as compared to many other phones with same screen size. The iPhone 6s plus is a 5.5’’

screen but has a screen to body ratio of 67.67%, and coming a little bulky (and heavy too) to hold. Don’t

get me wrong Apple lovers, I am an iPhone owner and lover too, but for the purpose of this review, the

truth has to be told . So don’t scream foul play yet!

The BOOM J8 simply defines the near perfect operating of a device with one hand, you’ll almost forget

you’re holding a smartphone! Ok, that’s me joking. lol



A 3000mAh Battery, optimized to last almost double the standard time.

We’re all too familiar with the litany of android devices that scream large battery sizes but won’t just

live up to the expectation when it comes to usage; one of the reasons why iPhones are always the go-to

devices in this category. A 3000mAH battery may be the norm for many android phones currently, but

that of the BOOM J8 is quite different. A high energy density battery, it is greatly optimized thanks to

some pictures I took. I could also use Boom J8 to shoot moving objects without causing a blur. The fast

tracking PDAF (Phase detect Auto Focus) which can focus on objects in split seconds makes this possible.

It is a fairly great piece of asset for your device.



Wonderful Panoramic Camera

Now there’s something new here: not the regular 13MP rear camera with the Panoramic feature I

could now make use of on the camera. This is perfect for when you have this really beautiful but large

landscape or a large assemble of friends to capture and you can’t afford to be missing in the picture ;

this feature definitely comes handy.

I also noticed I was able to capture better pictures in low light, thanks to the large pixels that allows

more than double the normal light into the camera lens. Every lovely moment captured through the

eyes of the BOOM J8 cameras.



Large Memory, Lasting Enjoyment

I love to have lots of storage space on my phone, it eases me of the headache of choosing what to

delete next or worrying about getting a bigger SD card as there are really many unreliable memory cards

out there. I also occasionally get to copy large-sized movies from friends then transfer later on to my

laptop. The 16GB storage of the BOOM J8 can largely handle all this, without having any of my files

compete for space and importance. For extra space lovers however, there’s an SD slot that can

accommodate up to 128GB SD card capacity. And with a 2GB RAM, coupled with the first user interface

(the HiOS), the speed and performance of the BOOM J8 was always seamless - serves its purpose so
