PoliticsRe: Ghana: Nigerians Must Go by oreshade(m): 10:26am On Apr 07, 2009
hmm, well, I think the topic to this thread should better have been 'step aside and let JJ Rawlings rule our country', instead of the spiteful 'Ghana: Nigerians must go', even Crusoe never enjoyed the Island without Friday, homo homili lupus est---man to man are wolves to themselves, goes the ever green latin maxim, then it will be the duty of any country with good legislative capabilities to give laws that will make man live peacefully amongst themselves for ubi jus ibi remedium---whenever there is a wrong at all there must be a remedy recognised by law, afterall that's why laws are there, or are Nigerians above the law?, nemo est supra lege---no man is above the law, if Nigeria has to deport non- Nigerians, meeeeen, only in Africa, we will have Ghana must go,Benin must go, Togo must go, Liberia must go, Cote d'Ivoire must go, Mali must go, Egypt must go, Senegal must go, South Africa must go, Ethopia must go, to mention a few, but no, we haven't deported any body but we have tried in our ways to make laws that will make the change we yearn for and ofcourse our judiciary are doing a great job, Mr. Pessimistic-Optimisim, just say something is wrong with your country's politics, LET THE BLIND MAN STOP COMPLAINING OF BREEZE ENTERING HIS EYES FOR HE CAN SIMPLY USE HIS GOGGLES, THE REMEDY WOULDNT BE DEPORTING THE BREEZE FOR INFACT THE EYES ITCHING WITH STONES YEARNS FOR IT IN ABUNDANCE, USE YOUR GOGGLES (LAWS) WITH YOUR JUDICIARY-LENS AS SHIELD AND SWORD, for laws without swords are but mere words, PEACE MY AFRICAN BRETHREN, living the life of a Hermit,

, HIDE IN PEACE BANKHEAD,
a a b c d e
Ha ha ha bank head
Funny art thou dude
Do you call these rhymes?:
a a b c d e
What rhyme scheme is this?

I bet you do not want this
Battle for you just threw towels
On the battle field
While you expect your head
To fight the battle of blood

If you wish to battle bankhead
Do not call for princesa dude
For you will step on toes
That will bit you to the bones
Of your ugly sticky poetry of mess

I do not call you to plea
Or run around filled with glee
But all I say is that you flee
Far away where your head of prey
Will still be safe as a bank of mess

Bank head dont jump into the feild
For your head has no solid
Taste for rhymes
As those of the princesa's stalwarts
So go hide your head in peace

so if Yar'Adua kiss pope for head now, that one mean say Yar'Adua don turn catholic christain, HOW KISSING DON TURN BAPTISM, you are just a THOMAS, that Obama kissed the King in that manner does not mean anything, remember Abacha?, remember when the pope came dressed in white and He dressed in black, do you remember him kissing the pope with a bow?, even then he neither granted His wishes nor obliged His prayers, all were thrown away, its just ethics if I may say that I greet a people vis a vis their customs and usages, that does not say anything or point to anything about my religion, sogbo?

Let me help, sleek p was of the view that if jews still live outside Israel then could it be said that the Iraeli's have a better life though some duress arabian souls live in Israeli thus the fact that arabians live there does not make it better, perhaps if all the jews were living there it could be said to be better,

hey, do you know what it is to take a life, do you folks know what it is to bleed a soul, that means someone's father, mother, brother, sister or only son or daugther is dead, you dont talk about death with such levity like it were a trivial issue, imagine the sorrows and pains we feel when we see an accident occur on our major roads and blood spills on the road, even the sight of blood makes some nauseous and sick, in a war where over thousands have been brutally massacred do you know what gory sight exists, the spirally sticky brain dripping from the blood filled skull, the mutilated womb of a promising mother, the death of a mother caressing her daugther while one bullet pierces the hearts of both and both lie on each other mouth filled with dust under the scorching arabian soil, do you know the sight of a sliipery floor not of vomit or gloss but the heavy and thick smell of pool of blood from the body of inncent children, mothers and caring folks, do you know the sight of a war infested state where voices of girls and women screech the air, where sounds of rockets, missiles and bullets quakes the ear, where the calls of matyrs drowns in death and lifeless bodiies piles like hills on the street leaving the valleys of the dead for mourners to search and wail, think about the fact that those dead folks while they were alive eat, smiled, loved, gave alms and even had sex, now they are dead in thousands and the only thing you say is 'kudos' like they have won a gold medal at the olympics, I dont want to believe a man born of a woman could be that heartless, this is a clear massacre of the highest order and my soul bleeds, it bleeds not only because I sympathise but because I cant do anything to ease their pains, plights and penury, than just write and pray that one day a soul with a motive to change things will see it and make the changes, what a coward I have become, the sight I swear to you my brothers and sisters is real and bothering as it outweights the witty rhetorics and calculating though theoretical logic that etches in avalanche its unpurposeful face here, lets think of making change,

hmm, refused to take it on board?

@ sleek_p
sincerely, you made my day
all I'd wanted was for someone
To accept the truth in the article
I am not ready for any battle or diss

and as to the praise to Allah,
well, as at the time I wrote it
I was still twenty years old
that means that it was very hectic
and tedious, I never thought I could finish
writing it but lo and behold, I was able and I did
it was like landing on the moon
and the only reasonable thing to do
was to give praise to my creator

@ el Razor
I dont know your specialty but I dont think its history
if you look closely at what you call constructive criticisms
you will get to know that they are just offers to a battle

if you think you are worried about something in the article
my brother google the truth out and then post the truth here
I am not a fighter and do not intend to be one

any truth I see I say

WHAT I WANT CRITICS TO DO IS TO TELL ME
THAT THESE MASSACRES NEVER HAPPENED
THE AIM OF THE ARTICLE IS JUST TO REPORT
THE INHUMAN ACTS OF THE ISRAELITES AND ITS ALLIES
WHETHER FOR A GOOD CAUSE OR GODLY CAUSE
DID ANYTHING LIKE THIESE MASSACRES HAPPEN OR NOT
IS WHAT IS RELEVANT TO THIS DISCUSS

this poem is kinda complex poet
And stylishly technical so be patient
And note your previous sounds
With the masculine and feminine rhymes

Filled with innuendos
Imageries, personifications
Similies, metaphors and
poetic prophecies of standard

ASHA LIKE AFRICA
…Black…Female…Dreadlocks…
…Love…Unity…Peace…
…Africa…Dingaan…Mhlangana…Murders…

I can see Asha perched on Iroko,
With its broad round strength-wings,
And sparkling silveric unsheathed claws.

Calling bare her dead to life,
Bare soul of sonorous voice,
Not coarse.

Filled with bald light of truth,
The head of keen knowlege,
Not revenge.

Asha in the carcass carrion,
Of tragedy filled life,
Has chose to strife.

With the sonorous voice of pitches,
And the keen knowldge of knights,
Asha did pick up assegai to strife for peace.

Peace like eye adaaba high aboves,
At the days dawn when fog,
And dew thick on contour leaves.

Not the dusk-dawn of fright,
That seems though cool,
Drops men in despair all night.

For in her big flight ashore,
She did see fire on the mountain,
With wild flames of wander at tour.

Some say you ugly Asha,
Have they so beautiful eyes,
Within they shall see afar.

Though truly no one knows,
Tomorrow what it holds,
Iba to sights that see within lights.

Obsess slavery savage Mr. Jailer,
Has made Asha’s life the soul subway,
That drains love down the path away.

Now she lays on the path of change,
Swinging ablaze her beak-strings of truth,
That all men must hear even bi n banke with teeth.

She sings not like Igunnugun,
With its naked neck of blotters,
And its fragile flight of preyish wants.

Nor like the amazing Akalamagboi,
With goitre in the neck for changes,
But like the awesome awe for peace.

That awe that love-seeds,
Grew from its flesh-sands,
And spilt gushing water-bloods.

Three-sixty round the globe,
Her cvlarion call must be heard tall,
Her highly personal but totally universal call.

Her truly loving but lonely call,
That rests the mean-mind of hate,
To sail atide on waters of sleep aright.

Her innate stand must be seen,
On the llano shrub of unity,
caressing coolly like found a lost lilly.

Her face of pure priceless peace ,
Must be felt afar,
Like the solemn zephyr at wailing winter.

You see the dusk has dusked,
And now dawn has dawned,
The renaissance of Asha will be heard.

note, learning poets
frequent use of lower case
especially to start sentences

connotes urgency
like you are writing on pricky
stuffs like death or a subject of urgency

and note the rhyme scheme
of the 'to heatfusion a damsel' poem

TO HEATFUSION: A DAMSEL
with my soft soul of
watery curiosity so stiff
I craved so sonorously tough
to your profile to see for myself
what a damsel you are though trailed by fright

with my naked eyes of truth pace
I saw your priceless bulbous face
etched with a chuckling smile of peace
and succulently raised cheeks
so sweet even monks will gaze with ease

at beauty's birth at sight
for when I saw your beaut
it struck me so hard that
my soul of fright so soft
made my heart beat so fast

like a war within at race
as I looked down her gorgeous face
to her sexy stature at ease
I smiled and chuckled at the hands
of God how He made such a beauty as this

so full and romantically right
nairalanders if you think am just
a flatterer and liar of disgust
be a member of nairaland right
now and check her profile picture with no fright

Jewels do you like that?
Solely for the both of you folks

Finally gave the crowd what
They have craved for like peace

A 'RHYMING' poem to post
But this is so distinct

A very creative sonnet
All through 'a' and no 'b' to post

So heatfusion can you see
But scheme should be all we

can do, we should be
Able to do this and more stalwart

Olulu now beat that
Whilst having fun so sweet

Am so much drenched
With this exams bod

Who even started exams?
I would have had more time to write

and post
Peace

THE SUN IS DEAD AGAIN
The sun was to shine
Now the moon is thine
As the twilight fades so thin
The stars are to shine
And thine are to be mine

As we forget the pain
Though we look so lean
With rays of sully stain
The sun shall not shine again
So let's lay on paradise plain

To smoothly cuddle thine
This night is ours to dine
Forever with no pain
For the sun is dead again

I meant no harm
Actually that poem that
So as to say what
I just said in time

For we are here to learn rhymes
So lets teach our selves
The many different ways
Rhyming could be looked at

So we wont be a student of Nairaland
School of poetry and
Then we say we dont know that
Poetry that rhymes need not

Follow mechanical schemes
But if you want to see what
you call rhymes
Then tell me and I will post
some my poems

@ princesa
Do you like the poem
These exams are consuming

Into the notion that
Rhyming is all about
Following the thread

Of aaaa bbbb or ab ab scheme
It is that and lot more stalwart
For in so far as it isn't an enjambment
And it has its unique style and scheme

Then it could be said to rhyme

LAST NIGHT
Last night in my dream
A damsel poked me to steam

With her rhymes full
Of sparkling thought

And her watery almondy
Eyes of seeming sexy squint

She marvelled me like the
Rainbows at dusk of rainy plight

Her brown glossy skin
Her sensual licky lips

Her pomegranate mammary
And her etched jelly butt

With its slow romantic sashay
All dazed my imaginative thought

That my sheild could not resist
But to fall and lay quietly in her heart

Where I found love and peace
Calling slowly from her soul

Like the sweet ancestral
Nymph of the comely sea
