The beauty entrepreneur who was formerly married to Maje Ayida, took to her Instagram page to share a video of Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West dancing at her father, Kanye West’s Sunday service.

The video caught the attention of Toke who confessed she is really looking further to being a mom.

Nigerian gay man, Jide Macaulay, set to be ordained an Anglican priest


Popular Nigerian gay man, Jide Macualay, will be ordained an Anglican Priest in the Church of England in June this year.

Jide who left in Nigeria many years ago after his attempt to set up a gay-based Church, House of Rainbow, failed in Nigeria.

The 53-year-old shared an invitation card to his ordination on his social media handle and wrote
”It is a delight to share this news, I am to be ordained Anglican Priest in the Church of England in June 2019.

Former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o facing paternity lawsuit over 19-year-old girl he allegedly fathered


African football legend, Samuel Eto’o is facing a new court paternity lawsuit over an alleged love child.

According to Mail Online Sport, a woman identified as Adileusa do Rosario Neves, 39, is fighting to have the ex-Barcelona, Inter Milanand Chelsea striker recognized as the father of her 19-year-old daughter, Erika.

Adileusa’s lawyer Fernando Osuna confirmed on Tuesday that the hearing would take place at a Madrid court on April 24.

The lawsuit presented by Cape Verde-born Adileusa says she fell pregnant after meeting Eto’o in a nightclub in the Spanish capital in 1997 when he was at Leganes on loan from Real Madrid. She claims Eto’o, 37, who has six recognised children with four different women including his wife Georgette, told her he would ‘act responsibly’ soon after she broke the news but then cut off all contact with her.

Her daughter, Erika was born in November 1999 in a hospital in the Spanish capital.

In a statement, Adileusa’s lawyer Fernando Osuna said: ‘Samuel Eto’o has been summoned to the hearing and it will be open to the press and public.

‘It’s not yet clear if he will attend as he is abroad. He has been asked to attend by a legal representative he had when he was living in Majorca.

‘The judge has allowed official communications to be sent to that person because it would have been impossible otherwise for the court to notify him.

‘He has not so far agreed to a voluntary DNA test and I doubt at this stage that he will.

‘At the moment our case is based on things like photographs and affidavits from witnesses but a refusal by Eto’o to agree to a voluntary DNA test would go in our favour.

‘This process is a long one and it’s going to go on after April’s hearing, but the decision on a maintenance allowance is a key part of this process and the judge’s decision cannot be appealed.

‘The paternity claim would continue after the hearing next month.’

PDP rejects shift of elections demands resignation of INEC chairman


The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the shift in the dates of the general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), describing it as an `act of wickedness’.

Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, in a statement released by his media aide, Ike Abonyi, described the postponement as part of a “grand design by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to thwart the will of Nigerians at all cost”.

Secondus said the postponement shows the unreadiness of INEC to its constututional duties and called on the Chairman of the commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu to resign immediately.

“The PDP leader warns that the party will not accept anything short of a well organised electoral process devoid of manipulation, harassment and intimidation of voters and the opposition particularly members of the PDP. Having failed in all their nefarious options to enable them cling on to power, the APC and the INEC came up with the idea of shifting election, an action that is dangerous to our democracy and unacceptable” he said

The party chairman accused the Buhari-led government of arm-twisting INEC to dance to their new strategy after the ‘earlier plans to rig this election failed.’

“With several of their rigging options failing, they have to force INEC to agree to a shift in the election or a staggered election with flimsy excuses pre-manufactured for the purpose. For the avoidance of doubt the PDP sees this action as wicked and we are also aware of other dubious designs like the deployment of hooded security operatives who would be ruthless on the people ostensibly to scare them away.” he said

He also described the action as `huge cost’ to Nigerians including those who came home from abroad and had mobilised to their various constituencies.

FRSC trains Peace Mass Transit drivers for safe driving


Peace Mass Transit (PMT) Limited would continue to train and retrain professional drivers in its employ to ensure optimal performance on the high way, Vice Chairman, Chief Mrs. Emilia Onyishi has said. She spoke Monday at the flag off of a training programme conducted for PMT drivers by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), at the PMT headquarters, Emene Enugu. “It is our duty to train and retrain drivers, and put them in the best possible conditions to minimize and possibly eliminate avoidable accidents on the high way” she added. She pledged that PMT would spare no resources to ensure the safety of its drivers and passengers


The PMT vice Chairman explained that in addition to the retraining programme conducted by officers of the FRSC, the company also had a regular retraining schedule religiously observed by the Peace Mass Safety Manager. “PMT has a daily training programme for drivers who come in for routine maintenance, in addition to this type, conducted by the regulators of our sectors, the FRSC”, she said. “We do all these because safety is of paramount importance to us” she added. Mrs. Onyishi urged the drivers to take advantage of the exercise, as most of the resource persons from the FRSC were well trained themselves, and, therefore, in the best position to prepare them better for the job they do.“It is not because you have not been doing well; the training is important so we can do better”, she said.


Mr. Ugah Anthony Okoronkwo, who represented the State Commandant of FRSC, commended PMT for regularly training and retraining its drivers, urging them not to relent as no investment in the quest to preserve human lives was too much. “The FRSC being the lead agency in safety on highways is here to give you good training to make you all better professional drivers,” he pledged. Representatives of sister agencies, like the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were also present at the commencement of the training, which is presently on-going.
Over 2000 drivers of PMT are expected to be retrained in the first phase and the training is expected to last for 6 weeks.

According to reports, she died of heart attack on Monday morning, February 4th 2019 at her residence in Ibadan.

Japanese government announces plan to hack over 200 million citizens ahead of 2020 Olympics


In preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, the Japanese government has approved a law amendment that will allow government workers to hack into unsecured Internet of Things (IoT) devices as part of a national survey.

The survey will be conducted by employees of the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) under the supervision of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

By using default passwords and password dictionaries, NICT employees will attempt to log into the IoT devices of Japanese consumers in an effort to gauge their security or lack thereof.

A list of insecure IoT devices that use default and simple passwords will be prepared and passed on to the authorities and ISPs so that they can alert consumers regarding how to properly secure these devices.

The survey will begin next month when NICT plans to test the password security of more than 200 million IoT devices starting with routers and web cams. Both consumer devices in citizens homes will be tested along with those on enterprise networks.

The Japanese government decided to carry out its unconventional survey as part of its plan to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. The government fears that hackers could exploit insecure IoT devices to launch attacks against the Games’ IT infrastructure just as Russian nation-state hackers deployed the Olympic Destroyer malware ahead of last year’s Pyeongchang winter Olympics.

Olubankole Wellington, the candidate of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP), contesting for the Eti-Osa House of Representatives seat, has vowed to publish his earnings as a legislator if elected.

Wellington, popularly called Banky W, made the announcement while speaking during a debate against four other candidates in Lagos on Monday, February 4, 2019.

The legislative candidate said accountability is one of the biggest problems in governance and hopes to lead from the front to change the situation.

He vowed to publish his salary and allowances as a legislator and be transparent in the spending of constituency allocations by consulting regularly with the people.

He said, “Most of us don’t know who our representatives are, talk less of their salary and allowances and constituency allocations that they receive every year most of the time to enrich themselves.

“How I plan to address it myself directly is first of all, I’ll publish what I earn as a legislator – my salary, my allowance, the allocation given to Eti-Osa, I will publish it.

“We will have town halls and an active constituency office to engage the community to say this is the allocation that we’ve received, this is what we intend to spend it on.”

The candidate slammed legislators who are only in the National Assembly to enrich themselves and vowed to be more accountable to lead a new era of accountability in governance in the country.

Breaking: Appeal Court orders INEC to include APC candidates in Rivers State governorship elections


The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, has granted stay of execution of the lower court’s judgement nulifying all primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in RIvers State and restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from fielding the party’s candidates in the forthcoming general election.

Back in January, Justice Kolawole Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt had nullified both the direct and indirect primaries conducted by two factions of the party. He also restrained INEC from recognising any candidates of the APC for the 2019 general election in the state.

While a faction of the party loyal to former Governor Rotimi Ameachi had produced Tonye Cole as its candidate from its primary, the other loyal to Senator Magnus Abe produced him as its own candidate. The national secretariat of the party recognised Cole as the authentic candidate of the party and forwarded his name to INEC.

Ruling on a suit filed by Abe, the court observed that both the direct and indirect primaries were held during the pendency of the suit at the Rivers State High Court. Omotosho held that the APC conducted the indirect primaries in gross disrespect of the pending suit before the court.

The court therefore held that the names sent by the Amaechi faction and the National Working Committee of the APC to INEC for the 2019 general elections were illegal and should be disregarded. When INEC released its list of candidates for the general election last week, it omiited APC in Rivers, based on the ruling of the High Court. However, it said it would wait to see if the Appeal Court would give a different ruling on the controversy, which has now happened.
