Our client is a manufacturing company based in Lagos with major focus in polymer production. They are currently looking to hire Inventory/Quality Specialists

Job Description

The ideal candidate should have experience in the Petrochemical industry and experience/knowledge working in a quality lab
Working knowledge of a COF Tester and Melt Flow Index Tester – Auto
The candidate should have strong analytic and computer skills for maintaining records such as invoices and receipts from suppliers
Managing the quality lab of the plant by running test of blown film products
Generating the certificate of conformance for products based on test results
Collecting the data to generate the production output and KPI’s of the plant such as raw material yield, defect rate, Cost of poor quality
Responsible for vendor management for all raw materials in the factory
Drive the materials in and materials out process for the plant
Generate inventory related reports
Ensure inventory management principles – Housekeeping standards, FIFO (First In First Out)
Responsible for the procurement of Raw materials
Identify cost out opportunities with the vendors through deflation and alternate vendor identification



Requirements

Must have HND or Bachelors in a technical science or Engineering degree.
Must have Experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Materials science and Lab science.
Must be familiar with any film testing equipment or have laboratory knowledge, COF Tester and Melt Flow index Tester.
Experience in Procurement and inventory/materials is an added advantage.
Excellent Communication, Project Management, Analytical skills, great negotiator (added benefit), proactive and innovative with identifying cost out opportunities.
Strong knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
