Good morning all. I don’t know if this can make it to the front page. This morning I decided to check my data usage for this month on my mtn line. I saw it reading 146GB used from the 1st to the 28th of July What made me uncomfortable is the pattern. Every month it keeps increasing: From 98GB to 110GB to 130GB, and now 146GB this month, and I didn’t even do much this month. So I checked the breakdown. The data usage shows you how much data each application consumed. I decided to add it up myself. Lo and behold, the total from all the individual apps is 104GB. I did the calculation up to 5 times to be sure I wasn’t making a mistake. It’s still 104GB. So where did the extra 42GB go to? Which application used it? I called customer care. None of the people I spoke to could provide an answer. The last person transferred me to a supervisor. He told me to download the myMTN app. But on myMTN app I can only check data usage for the last 3 days. I can’t check for the whole month. So how did 42GB just disappear?
