You people just like spewing trash. Were you not in this country when only 4 lawmakers were legislating out of 30 cos those were Fubara's loyalists? Were you not in the country when Fubara ordered the demolition of a whole river state house of assembly with the flimsy excuse of sensing the lawmakers wanted to impeach him? No budget to govern , rivers people were suffering cos salaries can't be paid , no visible achievements going to over two years and you say president should not wield his powers. Should that bad precedent be laid for others to follow in the future ? The emergency rule would make other state governors sit right and not give room for such illegality now and in the future

President GEJ did not suspend the governors because he took legal advice from his AGF Adoke, who will go down as one of the poorest and most corrupt AGFs we have ever had.

In Adoke's book, he states clearly that he was the only person in government who convinced GEJ not to suspend the governors because he felt the 1999 constitution did not support this and the law that Obasanjo's AGF based his own suspensions on was to old and unconstitutional.

One thing everyone must understand is only a court, not an AGF, not a Abati, not a Falana, not the NBA and not even a President can declare a law passed by any assembly in Nigeria of whatever year unconstitutional.

If you think I am lying go to the North and commit adultery with any lady and when they take you to court you can be arguing that your offence is not contained in the 1999 constitution and it is unfair that they use a law passed almost a 100 years ago to convict you.
