BusinessI Urgently Need Address Of Businesses That Sell Food Chemicals In South West by osdagric(op): 3:29pm On Dec 02, 2009
Fellow Forumites,

I need someone out there to help me with the names and addresses of businesses selling food Chemicals and ingredients for making things like youghurt, creams. And if you are a business minded fellow, you can contact me as I volunteer to help you set up the business fast in Ado-Ekiti.

Currently, the few people selling food materials in Ekiti hardly sell stuffs for producing yuoghurts. Trader told me customers  go all the way to Akure on about 45 minute ride to get the stuff. Too bad!

let someone come here and set up one joo!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: New Job by osdagric(m): 5:34pm On Nov 26, 2009
Congrats my dear fellow!

And glory be to the Almighty God who makes ways where there seems to be none. Year 2005 was hard for me too. I was hiding somewhere in the surbub of Akute, Okay far flung Matogun. I had to look up more tearfully when I lost a contract that will land me more than 100k monthly supplying schools with agro-based intelligence that could turn schools to hot profits for owners. true, the proposal sailed through, but N2000. made me lost out. No one was ready to lend me this seed capital

THEN I USED THE MASTERKEY of PRAYER. I wept to God. Then, a gave me this DEFINITE thought: GO BACK HOME. Well, in less than a week I was back in Ado-Ekiti. Precisely in the last weeks of NOVEMBER ( around this time 2005). My next day in Ekiti met me in another Local Govt . praying God to make me a way. Iwas in that prayer a week. Then I came back to Ado-Ekiti

In February of the following year, I got this present job without stress. But the surprise is: I was posted to the Local Govt where I did that one-week praying. Even, as I type these words online i am still in that place.God was really proving that prayer got the job for me. Praise God.

It si good to have a job! Apart from the pecuniary( monetary) benefits, it is socially lifting and psychologically empowering. I have felt it as much as many Nigerians. May God create the jobs that will make Nigerians fulfilled.Amen

Jobs/VacanciesRe: God Has Blessed Me With A Good Bank PHB Job 2009 by osdagric(m): 4:32pm On Nov 26, 2009
God is good! All the time!

I am happy for you. Here let me advise you to aim higher than your humble self. Let your heart go out to the world begging for more money in agriculture. We need to access more money in extracting more food, fuel, fibre and fund. With this, factories will send out more smoke, more homes will have food on thier tables, less crime will paint our streets black and more ,

We need your banking service as aid to agricultural trades. I know you are not yet in the policy making caucus, but it will do you well to think of "banking for agribusiness Development in Nigeria" I see you on top soon. Remember to take this message along on behalf of Nigerian Farmers.

I bid you fair journey in the world of corporate-looking youths. We simply celebrate your success. A toast to your sound success

BusinessRe: Why Are Nigerian Youths Agrophobic? A Call To Lend Both Your Voice And Your Hand by osdagric(op): 10:14am On Aug 15, 2009
Dear tpia,
Thanks,
You sure speak volume in your short reply. This situation is all over this vulnerable Africa!Easy money! Young People don't want to dirty their fingers.

Anyway, how do you think we can draw the youths back to agriculture again. My study of divergent thinking as a way of creating solutions to problems has helped me to come across a gret idea that can pull in about 8000 youths covering all the local governments in Nigeria. I have also received more than 15 modules of powerful capacity building courses from international organisations helping developing countries to grow their agriculture and food security systems and online networking.

I seek to apply this skill in Nigeria here. It has helped similar developing economies like ours- The one that strikes me most is the case of Tanzania. I am optimistic that even youths can still participate, create jobs and sustainable development and help stimulate rural entrepreneurship while making money in the process.

What the youths of today are doing is what the earliest american capitalists did to raise a nation that all nations seek to emulate. Youths are simply capitalists. And I stand to say that let them come over to agriculture and exert their capitalistic drive to agriculture. It will rev to life again.
Please, tpia and all out there, let's reason together to save agriculture.

BusinessIt Works To Work Together by osdagric(op): 1:33pm On Aug 10, 2009
There is nothing that has built more business empires from scratch like working in team with people. It has given more success than man could recollect. It has made more successful entrepreneurs than the struggling masses could factor out.

Think of a world where only you have to do every thing yourself. You can not imagine waking up today and finding you are the only one living in the whole of Nigeria. You speak and your voice echoes back to you. You walk up to the nearest hospital and find no more doctor, nurses and patients. The same horror greets your face at the market place. The banking halls have suddenly become ghost places! You find you no longer need all the piles of money you find there.I simply beg God never to leave me alone in the world.

I need men to achieve my goals. Men are the steps that take me on my flights up. I need men to teach, preach, care for, sing and do other things in my life. My friends, we need ourselves.

Please, I need your contributions on this topic. Help me paint a more creative picture of a world without neighbours, co-staff, fellow church members, and so on. Let us see from YOU why and how it pays to work together. I am awaiting you wisdom

BusinessWhy Are Nigerian Youths Agrophobic? A Call To Lend Both Your Voice And Your Hand by osdagric(op): 8:01pm On Aug 04, 2009
Hi Fellow concerned Nigerians,

How are you coping with this meltdown? Our over dependence on oil money has landed us in this mire. The world's vulnerable, hungry people is about a billion now? Which means about 1 out of 6 people you see around is going to bed on their empty belly tonight and shall have to wake up tomorow to face the same tale!

Worse still is the fact that agriculture is left in the old hands. People that scarcely know the competitive nature of today's world. According to a youth world congress on agriculture held some few years back, youths are better positioned to tackle the problems of food and agriculture.

Today's dog knows how best to catch today's rabbit. Youths are more equipped with knowledge, information and ICT tools. Even educated old ones must learn to respect the young minds of today.Great solutions, untapped, reside in the youths of today.

The question that now bothers the mind is: in the face of this upper hand that youths of today have, why are youths in Nigeria, nay the whole africa agrophobic? Why are more youths ready to go, cap in hand, for jobs that pay pittance, while they are better equipped for E- Agriculture? Why is Nigeria so vulnerable to meltdown when so much internet-aware youths in Nigeria can easily lead practical onslaught against hunger, poverty and joblessness? The old hands are getting more and more incapacitated in a world ruled by internet and other ICT tools for development. Can Somebody with nice idea tell us how to bell this cat ( of agrophobic trends)?

Lend your voice to this agricultural call. Send your mail to : YIAnet@googlegroups.com
