I really didn't follow the argument but the bolded is not necessarily true. I like working with numbers so let's put it in perspective.

Say the highest votes ever is 500. Tacha has 540, Mike 490, Seyi 420 and Khafi 390.

In percentage terms Tacha would have 29%, Mike 26%, Seyi 22% ati be be lo.

As you can see, Tacha can actually have the highest votes ever without leading by a landslide.

It's not by topping the charts, (she has done that already) it's by leading by a landslide. If Mike and/or Seyi come close, then they smashed records as well.
