The singer who is gearing up for the release of a new single started his day by dropping by Ikeja Government Primary School where he presented the pupils with stationery and electronics to aid learning. In a new interview with Punch, the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Timaya said he dated someone who had a bad record and that affected him. Timaya and actress Empress Njamah dated for a few years. Their much publicized affair ended in 2009.
