Hendrixmalo:Do you download from torrent sites? |
amigo1088:Tell the person you want to buy from to confirm from customer service if he/she can transfer ownership and change address to yours while you still keep using the residential plan already on the kit at your own address. Before the suspension of residential and roaming plan in Nigeria, it was very much possible but right now, I can’t say. N.B Tell the person to screenshot the response he/she gets from customer service and send to you just to be on a safe side. |
1Salaam:Well if you know any location that is currently open for new customers for the residential plan, kindly share it with the forum, with a screenshot attached as proof. As for jalingo and osogbo you mentioned, those two locations are currently at full capacity as well on Starlink site.
|
purplekayc:You guys should stop repeating this same question please for God’s sake. It is already clearly written on this same page multiple times that you can only activate the BUSINESS PLAN on a brand new kit. The 38k residential plan only still remains for OLD CUSTOMERS that were able to activate their kit with the residential plan before the suspension of residential and roaming plans for new customers In Nigeria. |
toluxa1:For now the 38k still stands. Price increase hasn’t been implemented yet. |
veekay:Yes you can also buy from konga or any other reseller but you will still only be able to subscribe to the business plan (₦159,000 monthly) for now. |
bong4:The residential and roaming plans are currently suspended in Nigeria for new customers due to the price increase Starlink is trying to implement but the business plan is still available and you can still order for a Starlink kit under the business plan option on Starlink official website for NGN626,300 (amount is for a new standard actuated kit NGN590,000 + NGN36,300 shipping and handling fee). But i will only advise you to go for the business plan if you know you can afford the 159,000 monthly business plan subscription fee and also have it in mind that soon there is surely going to be a price increase on all Starlink subscription plans.
|
bong4:Which state are you in |
americanahh:Starlink service is still very much okay and their customer service is still ready to replace your Starlink kit with a new one if your kit develops any issue while in use all for free. Can still get over 100Mbps at my area in surulere lagos even during the day time. Just have it in mind that they will surely increase the price of subscription soon. |
Good morning guys. Just received the usual automatic payment reminder mail from Starlink now. I’m glad to inform you all they are still charging the old price (38k) for now and I’ve successfully made my payment the manual way instead of waiting for them to deduct it automatically before I go hear say price don change on Starlink portal ![]()
|
siRememovicTM:Will surely do |
georgee:Mine is tomorrow 1st. I don’t know why I’m having this feeling that the 50% increase approved by the federal government also applies to Starlink which is why we haven’t heard anything about the new price yet. But who knows, I might be wrong. I will update the forum tomorrow of the amount my card is charged tomorrow. Hopefully still the 38k. |
jmaine:My preview next invoice on my app is still showing 38k too just want to know if anyone has actually paid for subscription between 27th (date Starlink says the new price takes effect) to date |
SourYoghurt:Which day was the invoice sent to you |
Has anyone paid the new subscription price |
yemkoguru:When I bought the 5G router sometime last year when I was having issue with my Starlink dish (in April I think), it came with the 20k unlimited 20mbps plan and I used it through out the month without exhausting it. But from people’s experience I’ve read online, I believe the download speed gets throttled after using 1 terabyte of data. |
confluence: Cool business Me I don’t have tenants to force my own on |
yemkoguru:True but the 50% increase approved still won’t be as high as Starlink’s 75k (100% increase) |
odimbannamdi:Yes Starlink is really giving us value for our money but the new price is quite high especially for those of us who mainly use it for just entertainment which is why I’m considering switching to airtel by this month end and since I already have the 5G router. I don’t have who to share the cost with otherwise, it would have been the best solution for me. I’m just going to miss the speed, reliability and top notch customer support of Starlink. Imagine Starlink sending a new replacement kit twice to me with a free one month subscription as compensation for the inconveniences experienced without charging a dime. Which Nigeria ISP can offer such a service |
yemkoguru: ![]() Since I already have the airtel 5G router, I’m think about subscribing the 40Mbps for 35k and just cancel my Starlink subscription before my next billing date |
yemkoguru:Wow just in one week! Can’t just imagine how much data you will consume if you fully utilize yours for the whole month. You’re lucky your first 75k payment will be starting towards the end of next month. Mine starts from the 1st of next month |
GiggsTk:I read someone’s post on Twitter saying Starlink has put on hold activating new devices in Lagos until the new subscription price is implemented which is January 27th but I don’t know how true it is. |
ibawon:Na so e sweet me too then ![]() |
ibawon:Wow that’s huge. I’ve only been able to hit the 1TB mark twice since I started using mine since 2023. That’s the beauty of unlimited data. You will keep downloading until you eventually runout of things to download. These past few months, I hardly go above 800gb before the month runs out |
yemkoguru: Starlink don do us strong thing. But they can’t be blamed because nobody wants to run a business at a loss |
Why the silence on this forum? |
sonickay:I believe it’s just temporary. Won’t be surprised if the new price finally takes effect by January 2025. |
sonickay:Already in the news last month that Starlink has suspended the price increase for now |
Good afternoon everyone. Please I’m not trying to derail the thread. Has anyone made use of the LENOVO XIAOXIN PAD PRO 2025. The tab seems to have better specs than the Xiaomi pad 6 or Xiaomi redmi pad pro and it’s just under $300 on Aliexpress? |

oluwapoju:Same here |
Same here in surulere Lagos. Starlink is offline. I experienced something like this around may this year but it was around 2am in the midnight and it took 20 minutes before Starlink resolved it. It was world wide then not sure about this time around |

Cool business
