Bro, when did you buy your starlink and when did you report this issue to starlink. I am having thesame issue, but when I unplug and replug the cable like 5 times, it eventually picks. This happens almost everytime I switch off the router. I have to unplug and replug the cable like 3 to 5 times before it eventually comes back online. I have been suspecting that the cable has issues but its been over a year since I bought my starlink so I have been thinking even if I contact support, they may say I should pay for new cable since my starlink is over a year now. When did you buy yours and how long between then and the time you contacted support for the issue maybe I may still be eligible for free new cable too
Mine isn’t up to a year yet but you can complain to customer support. There are others who complained to Starlink regarding the same issue and they’ve had their Starlink for over a year plus, which they got a new cable all for free. So quickly message customer support, I’m sure they will surely send you a new cable

My Starlink went offline overnight and I’ve tried switching it off and on, disconnecting and reconnecting the cables at both ends (Starlink and router), I even tried resetting the router but I’m still offline. Whenever the router is trying to calculate orientation, it goes offline immediately and stays offline. Messaged support this morning, took all the necessary pictures and after a few minutes, I got a reply from support that a new cable has been sent to me at no extra cost. Through my Starlink account, I can see they are preparing the shipment.
Hopefully, the cable arrives as soon as possible. Starlink is really trying when it comes to customer support.
UPDATE

My new cable got delivered today (9 days in total including weekend) It took this long because the cable was sent from USA California and we also had public holiday in Nigeria. I called someone to help sign and receive the package from DHL. Connected the new cable this evening immediately I got home and my Starlink is back online.

Chill out. You'll be fine eventually.
I know i’m safe in the hands of Starlink with the way customer support responded swiftly. Just miss the internet speed. Stuck with airtel Mifi for now since I already gave out my Mtn 5G router

Got ya! One other thing I should mention (for other cases) would be that if your Starlink was in the middle of an update and lost power; you'd be in a world of pain. Unless you do one of two things:
1. Unpug the router for at least mins or more, or
2. Do a reset
It happened to me, no be say, dem say! In my case, it would show that it was establishing connection, and then disconnect, saying the cable was unplugged or there was a faulty connection between router and dish. No matter how many times I turned it on and off, and replug the cable, nothing worked. I even waited and left it on for many hours. It didn't work. Until I unplugged it and let it stay without electricity for a while.

Well in my case there was no power loss because I make use of inverter. I also left it unplugged yesterday when I was going out and when I got back home in the evening, I plugged it back in but still the same.

There is even no need going up to the roof. If you check the Starlink app, Advanced and then find Debug data
You can see the "Cable ping drop rate" under Router submenu. This should be 0% at all times.
If it's greater than zero , it means there is a break in the cable and a new cable would solve it. If it is currently 0% with your old cable,
then a new cable won't solve the issue.
When complaining to support, part of what they request for is a picture of the dish and it’s surrounding area in order to verify that the dish has a clear view of the sky.
They suggested that I try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable at both ends (dish and router) which I told them I already did.
The last was pictures of the cable connection at both ends (dish and router) which I had to go up the roof again to snap that of the dish.

Have you tried to detach and reattach the cable that goes into the dishy?
Had to go up the roof twice this morning just to disconnect and reconnect the cable for the first time since when I installed it up there. The cable issue didn’t just start today. My Starlink had been going offline for some time but usually once I unplug and plug the router back, it usually connects back online but today seems to be different. I made sure I exhausted all options trying to fix it before contacting support.

Like I don't understand. Did you pay for it? And will the subscription stop if you don't pay?

BTW, I feel I should let the house know that my Starlink which was shipped from the United States was put on hold in the early hours of Sunday at Port Harcourt sorting center which led to the tracking number refreshing, and now they have shipped a new one from Lagos facility that took almost 14 hours to land in Port Harcourt. Waiting for their call here in Aba today.
You have to pay within 7 days in order to continue using it

This happens when the shipment originates from Starlink Nigeria, not when shipped from the US.
Mine was shipped here in Lagos and I didn’t call Dhl to update any information at all. Delivery took just 4 days. The only 2 calls I received from Dhl was from the delivery man to tell me he was on his way and when he was outside my gate.

I get double data on this.

300gb for 24,200.

Is more than enough for my monthly needs.
300gb for that price is ok. At least cheaper than that of Mtn going for 30k.

This is the speeds I get with spectranet in Festac and my router has a 12hrs battery life when light goes out.

Starlink is not for me.
Well the speed you’re getting is not bad. How many GB do you sub for and how much do you pay for it? If you don’t exhaust your data before the end of the month, then truly Starlink is not for you.

This is the speed I’m still getting and how much data I’ve used up so far and still counting. everyone at home makes use of it and 2 smart tv’s are connected as well (65” LG & 43” Hisense).
I haven’t experienced any downtime yet so far, even when it’s raining and thanks to our inverter, my Starlink hasn’t gone off since day 1.

Please from where did you learn such?
The kit that is going to be delivered to you will include a satellite dish, a router, a cable and mount for the dish.

I see.
But that's still a reduction in the mtn 5g speed compared to when it came out first and it was getting to over 1Gbps.
From your result, my starlink is even faster in download, though slower in upload.

Shows that mtn quality is going down. This 5g speed you tested now is what a good 4glte should be achieving.

I’m sure it will still get even slower with time. Once phone manufacturers like tecno and Infinix starts adding 5G to their newly released mid and lower range phones, then just know it’s not going to be as fast as this anymore because by then almost everybody who owns a smartphone in Nigeria will be on 5G just like 3G and 4G

For 5G, this is poor. 4G in my location performs better than this.
Where is your location?
Well it’s location dependent. That’s why I stated it that in my location (Surulere) that’s what I’m getting.
I just did something now. I moved the 5g router to my window and this is what I got cheesy
But I’m still going to stick with Starlink once this my Mtn subscription is exhausted. Unlimited internet at 38k with the speed I’m getting is a real value for my money with this our current economic situation cool

The speed is great, but who needs all that in day to day usage. I only enjoyed the speed when downloading one game for my ps5 at 300 Mbps and it finished in no time. But I don't do much downloads. Mostly streaming and they use at just 10mbps.

The mtn 5g deal is nice though. With starlink highest I've used in a month is 500gb coz many used it then. What drinks most of my data is IPTV streaming since I stream all my TV, football and movie needs in HD. If the mtn 5g speed is good, then 30k for 300gb is nice deal.

Only problem was that I was in Abuja and mtn 5g speed was like 14mbps or even as low as 1mbps. What kind of 5g is that? How was the speed in Lagos?

Mtn 5G speed in my location (surulere) is really good, even better than my Starlink both in downloads and uploads. Here is a screenshot of the speed test I just did
But it’s not unlimited. That’s the only downside of Mtn 5G

What's your location? I want to believe you are either in Lagos or a place near it.
Lagos seems to have many starlink users making it difficult for users there to get the best of starlink. It's like in USA where the best starlink speed people get is 100mbps.

But here am I in Niger state, extreme end of Nigeria, getting 320mbps. Otis54

shocked The speed you’re getting is really impressive. Guess those of us in Lagos will have to make do with what we are getting right now. I’m not even complaining because the speed is a lot better than the swift 4G network(28,670 for 10Mbps) I was using before moving to Mtn 5G(30,000 for 300GB). I would have stuck with Mtn 5G if they had unlimited data at the same price range as Starlink but, alas, they don’t.

My Starlink got delivered 2days ago but I was only able to install it yesterday. After instillation on my roof, I split the 2.4GHz/5GHz but I was only seeing the 2.4GHz on all devices I tried connecting yesterday including my iPhone 12 Pro Max. When I woke up this morning, I tried again and to my surprise I saw both the 2.4GHz/5GHz connection and I connected to it immediately. It’s more faster than the 2.4ghz.
