You may have heard this before, but 2017 will be the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone. You’ve been hearing about it since even before the launch of this year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and many have prophesied that for the tenth anniversary, Apple intends to do something truly groundbreaking. A new design is obvious, considering the present one has been in use for three generations now, with minor tweaks. Based on the rumours, iPhone 8 will have an edge-to-edge screen, and also ditch the home button – the most important way of interacting with an iPhone. The fact that this year’s iPhone models ditched the physical button with a haptic simulation of a button press, makes the rumour somewhat believable. But still, it will be a huge shift because the home button performs multiple functions today. Here’s a list of commonly-used tasks it does: READ MORE:HERE

The Drive’s big-man-on-campus Mike Guy isn’t a big fan of puns, so odds are good he won’t like the name of Henrik Fisker’s newly-revealed electric car, the EMotion. However, we don’t all share his distaste for humorous wordplay—and to be honest, we kind of admire a company with the chutzpah to give his expensive, high-tech luxury sedan designed to beat the likes of Tesla at its own game a punny moniker. It is time for our verdict on the best Android apps for 2016. This year saw the revival of instant messaging apps in the form of Allo and Signal as well as an array of photo and video editing/sharing apps like Prisma, Boomerang, Photo Scan and more. Although it was a year dominated by virtual reality (VR) our list does not entail any VR or smartwatch related apps as they require an external device for them to work with. Additionally, we have also not included games in this list as we feel that deserves a separate list of its own. Let’s take a look at IBTimes UK’s pick of the top Android apps for 2016. READ MORE:HERE
