Music/RadioHow Jubet’s “hardest Truth” Generated Over 2.2 Million Tiktok Videos by otunbablogger01(op): 9:34am On Jun 02
At a time when the music industry is increasingly driven by algorithms, short attention spans and manufactured virality, Nigerian artist Jubet is proving that emotional connection may still be the most powerful marketing tool in music.

His breakout single “Hardest Truth” has rapidly evolved from an emotionally honest African record into one of the fastest-spreading emerging songs across digital platforms globally; generating massive engagement across TikTok, streaming services, Shazam and international charts within just a few weeks of release.

What started as a deeply personal record has now become a global emotional movement.

The song has already:

-Generated over 2.2 million TikTok video creations organically

-Crossed over 4 million Audiomack streams

-Surpassed 2.1 million Spotify streams

-Crossed over 1.5 million Apple Music streams

-Generated over 1.5 million Boomplay streams

-Recorded over 1.3 million YouTube audio views

-Generated over 600,000 Shazams globally

-Reached No. 2 on the Shazam Global Chart for 2 consecutive weeks

-Reached No. 7 on Worldwide Shazam rankings after spending two weeks consecutively at No. 2.

-Debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart

-Debuted at No. 17 on the Global Top 100 Afrobeats Chart.

-Entered Spotify Nigeria Top 100
Reached No. 1 on Shazam Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia

The record has also charted across more than 20 countries globally including Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and several Caribbean territories.

Industry observers say the speed and pattern of growth surrounding “Hardest Truth” reflects something much deeper than traditional viral success.

Unlike many songs built primarily around dance challenges or heavy influencer campaigns, Jubet’s record spread through emotional relatability. Across TikTok and social media, listeners began using the song to express heartbreak, vulnerability, reflection and real-life emotional experiences.

That emotional participation eventually transformed into massive user-generated content behaviour.

According to digital tracking patterns, millions of users organically adopted the record into personal storytelling content, relationship videos, emotional captions, cinematic edits and reflective moments, helping the song travel naturally across different demographics and countries without a heavily manufactured rollout structure at the beginning.

Strategically managed by Nigerian entertainment executive Louiza Williams, the campaign around Jubet has gradually focused on positioning the artist not just as another viral act, but as an emotionally resonant voice capable of building long-term audience connection across cultures.

With over a decade of experience across artist development, entertainment marketing and talent positioning, Louiza Williams and Loui-K Empire have continued structuring the movement around the record through strategic rollout coordination, audience targeting, content systems and international positioning efforts.

The result has been one of the most interesting emerging African music stories of the year.

For many listeners globally, “Hardest Truth” represents something rare in today’s music landscape: a song people genuinely feel connected to.

As the record continues expanding globally across streaming platforms, charts and international music conversations, Jubet is increasingly being recognized as one of the new emotional voices emerging from Africa’s rapidly evolving music industry.

And if current momentum is any indication, “Hardest Truth” may only be the beginning.

FamilyTosin Oshin Foundation Calls For Collective Action Against Drug Abuse by otunbablogger01(op): 5:28pm On May 28
PRESS RELEASE

TOSIN OSHIN FOUNDATION CALLS FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AMONG NIGERIAN CHILDREN AND YOUTHS ON CHILDREN’S DAY

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate Children’s Day, Tosin Oshin Foundation (TOF) has called on parents, government institutions, schools, religious bodies, media organizations, and society at large to intensify collective efforts toward eradicating drug abuse among children and youths across the country.

The Foundation made this known through a special Children’s Day awareness campaign released by its Founder, Tosin Oshin, stressing that the future of Nigeria depends heavily on the protection, education, and empowerment of its younger generation.

Speaking during the Children’s Day message, the Founder noted that drug abuse has become one of the most dangerous threats confronting Nigerian youths today, with many young lives being destroyed by substance addiction, peer pressure, violence, depression, and negative social influence.

According to him, the fight against drug abuse should not be left for government agencies alone, but must become a collective responsibility involving parents, schools, communities, civil society organizations, and the media.

“Children are the future of every nation. We must protect them from every form of substance abuse, harmful influence, and social destruction. The responsibility belongs to all of us as parents, leaders, educators, and citizens,” he stated.

The Foundation further emphasized the need for increased sensitization programmes in schools and communities, stronger parental guidance, youth mentorship initiatives, counseling support, and continuous advocacy campaigns aimed at building a drug-free generation.

Tosin Oshin Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug abuse through education, mentorship, awareness campaigns, advocacy, and community-based intervention programmes designed to empower children and youths positively.

The Foundation also encouraged young Nigerians to reject drugs, embrace education, discover purpose, and become productive contributors to society.

As part of the Children’s Day celebration, the Foundation urged stakeholders to prioritize policies and initiatives that safeguard the mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of children across Nigeria.

Tosin Oshin Foundation remains committed to its vision of building a society where children and youths live free from drug abuse and are empowered to achieve their full potential.

CelebritiesDivine Escape: Nollywood Actress Ijeoma Richards Survives Car Explosion In Lagos by otunbablogger01(op): 10:17am On May 22
A close associate of Nollywood actress Ijeoma Richards has recounted the terrifying incident that led to the explosion of the actress’ vehicle somewhere in Lagos, describing it as a miraculous escape from death.

According to the source, the actress, who is also the President of the Nollywood Creative Minds Forum (NCMF), had spent most of the afternoon moving around in the vehicle before parking for an official meeting.

The close friend explained that the tragic incident could easily have claimed lives if the explosion had occurred while she was still inside the car.

“She was in the car most of the afternoon. It could have happened while she was still inside the vehicle. She parked and went in for a meeting. The burning videos and pictures making rounds were reportedly captured by security personnel around the area,” the source disclosed.

The associate further narrated that while the meeting was ongoing, people around heard a loud explosion and noticed the arrival of a fire truck, without initially realising that the affected vehicle belonged to the actress.

“When the meeting ended and everyone came outside, they discovered that the fire service officials were there because of her car. They heard the explosion earlier, but nobody knew immediately that it was her vehicle that exploded,” the source added.

The shocking development has continued to generate reactions within the entertainment industry, as colleagues, fans and associates have expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life.

At the time of filing this report, efforts to reach Ijeoma Richards proved unsuccessful. Sources close to the actress disclosed that she is currently unavailable to speak on the incident due to the emotional trauma caused by the experience.

Though the vehicle was completely damaged by the fire, many have described her survival as nothing short of divine intervention.

EventsTourist Adventures International Club Of Nigeria ( TAC ) Celebrates 1st Year by otunbablogger01(op): 5:43pm On Oct 01, 2025
Tourist Adventures International Club of Nigeria 1st year Anniversary, 2025

SPEECH BY DR. MUIB ABEEB OLOWO, PRESIDENT, TOURIST ADVENTURE CLUB (TAC), ON THE OCCASION OF THE CLUB’S FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND WORLD TOURISM DAY

Distinguished Guests, Esteemed Members of the Tourist Adventure Club, Friends of Tourism, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today, we gather not only to celebrate the first anniversary of our dear club, the Tourist Adventure Club (TAC), but also to join the world in commemorating World Tourism Day. What a profound privilege it is that our journey as a club aligns with this global celebration of culture, adventure, and human connection.

When TAC was founded on August 27th, 2025, by a visionary and veteran broadcast journalist, Dr. Abiodun Muibi, the MD/CEO of Habimub Communications, it was born out of a dream — a dream to create a vibrant community of explorers, dreamers, and adventurers who believe in the power of tourism to inspire, to unite, and to transform lives. The club began humbly with five members, and though the journey was not without its challenges, today we proudly count over 80 committed members who are doing tremendously well.

Indeed, our first year has been one of growth, learning, and building. From the very beginning, we set out with a clear vision: to foster tourism and adventure as a means of relaxation, connection, networking, cultural exchange, and education. We believe strongly that “Travel and Tourism is Education”-an opportunity not only to see the world but to learn, to share, and to shape a better society.

In just one year, TAC has recorded remarkable achievements:

1. We have successfully organized five different hangouts, where members have embraced peace, unity, and friendship.

2. We held a lecture and symposium to enlighten members on the importance of world tourism and its principles, instilling in us the ideology of responsible global tourists.

3. We decorated seven important personalities-philanthropists, humanitarians, and business leaders-as Patrons of TAC. They have since been supporting us both morally and financially.

4. Most recently, the club was generously allocated a plot of land in Abeokuta by Malam Dr. Fatai Aro, for the construction of a modern and befitting clubhouse, which will stand as a symbol of our growth and legacy.

Tourism, at its very core, is about people. It is about bridging divides, breaking barriers, and building friendships across cultures and continents. In a world often torn apart by differences, tourism reminds us that we share one earth, one humanity, and one destiny.

As TAC, we stand as ambassadors of this truth. We are committed to promoting responsible tourism-tourism that respects cultures, preserves heritage, protects the environment, and empowers communities. We are not just tourists; we are custodians of experiences, guardians of heritage, and storytellers of tomorrow.

On this special day, I call on all our members and supporters to see TAC not just as a club but as a movement-a movement that will shape the narrative of tourism in Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large. The future of TAC is indeed bright. We envision expanding our reach, creating more opportunities for our members to travel, learn, and grow, while also contributing meaningfully to society.

As we celebrate today, let us remember that tourism is not about how far we travel but how deeply we connect. It is about the footprints we leave behind-not just in the sands of beaches or the trails of mountains-but in the lives of people and communities we touch.

On behalf of the Tourist Adventure Club, I rejoice with every tourist across the globe today. May we continue to explore, to dream, to discover, and to inspire the world through tourism.

Happy Anniversary to TAC!
Happy World Tourism Day to all!

Thank you, and may the adventure never end.

Nairaland GeneralAccess Bank CEO And Top Officials Face Arrest After Court Order Over Fraud by otunbablogger01(op): 11:38am On Feb 07, 2025
In a dramatic turn of events, a team of security agencies stormed the headquarters of Access Bank Plc on Wednesday morning to execute a Bench Warrant issued by the Lagos High Court for the arrest of the bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Bolaji Agbede, and other senior officials. The arrest order came after the accused failed to appear in court as ordered in relation to a case involving serious charges of conspiracy, stealing, and attempted theft.

The court order, handed down by Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos High Court, followed a string of legal issues stemming from allegations of fraudulent conversion of property documents. Specifically, the case revolves around the conversion of title documents from MOB Integrated Services Limited in a complex loan arrangement involving Access Bank and other parties.

The charges stem from a loan agreement in which Balmoral International Limited and its managing director, Adejare Adegbenro, received a N333 million loan from Diamond Bank (now Access Bank). As part of the loan conditions, MOB Integrated Services Limited offered their property at 40B Bourdillion Road, Ikoyi as collateral. However, without the knowledge or consent of MOB Integrated Services, Access Bank continued to provide additional facilities to Balmoral International, ultimately including the property as collateral for a separate, unrelated N1 billion credit facility.

The fraudulent use of the property led to legal actions, and despite being duly served, Access Bank and its officials, including Bolaji Agbede, failed to appear in court for the January 20th arraignment. This failure prompted the court to issue a Bench Warrant, which led to Wednesday’s police operation at Access Bank’s headquarters.

The police, led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, arrived at the bank’s headquarters at noon on February 5, 2025, but were told that the CEO was in a meeting, and the Company Secretary was in London. After engaging with the bank’s legal officers, the police were assured that the defendants would appear at the next scheduled hearing, set for February 24, 2025.

The Lagos State government filed a four-count charge against the bank, its CEO, and other individuals involved, including Adejare Adegbenro. The charges stem from fraudulent actions involving the unauthorized use of MOB Integrated Services’ property and an apparent attempt to cover up the fraudulent conversion of the property.

The case, LD/24884C/2024 – The State of Lagos v. Adejare Adegbenro & Ors, is set for arraignment on February 24, 2025, as prosecutors continue to investigate the illegal dealings.

This high-profile case highlights the ongoing battle against financial fraud and misconduct in Nigeria’s banking sector, and authorities remain vigilant in ensuring that those responsible face justice.

He enjoined the citizens to be praying for the country rather than cursing the Nation and admonished Nigerians to promote unity and development, to value what we have and have the right orientation that will move the country forward.

Mrs. Salako opined that regardless of our location, tribes, religion or ethnicity the Nigerian people must embrace the National core values for the betterment of self and country. She added that the influx of other cultures into our geographical space, westernization and civilization has led to the erosion of our national core values hence the need to go back to the roots and address this character misdemeanor before it goes out of hand hence the main reason why the NOA deem it fit to launch the National Identity Project which enshrined the National Value Charter and the standardization of the National symbols

Mrs. Salako informed participants that the National Value Charter is a full package which comes with the 7 Nigerian promises and the 7 Citizen codes which if embraced she said, will get us to where we really want to go as one indivisible family. The citizens codes, she mentioned, are the expectation of the government from the citizens which includes Discipline, Tolerance and Respect, Duty of Care, Environmental Awareness, Resilience, Leadership, Transparency while the 7 Nigerian promise the citizenry likewise expects from the government are

The DG said he was happy to announce to participants that the framework has been presented to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, chaired by Mr. President and have been ratified. The ratification, he said, is now what has given birth to the nationwide campaign on NIP the Agency is currently carrying out all over the country.

The NOA DG mentioned the framework as including, Standardization of the National Symbols; Establishment of National Value Brigade in primary and secondary schools across the country; Citizenship study to be made compulsory in primary and secondary schools in the country; The approval of the Nationalisation of Cartoon contents in Nigeria and Campaign for National reputation management.

Nairaland GeneralNOA Ogun Flags Off Nationwide Sensitization Campaign On National Value Charter & by otunbablogger01(op): 10:43pm On Oct 10, 2024
NOA Ogun Flags off Nationwide Sensitization Campaign on National Anthem, National Value Charter

The National Orientation Agency, Ogun State Directorate, Wednesday, in Abeokuta, flags off the Agency's National Identity Project (NIP) programme with Press Conference on Nationwide Sensitization Campaign on the National Anthem and National Value Charter

Addressing the media at the Press Conference to herald the programme in Ogun State, the State Director, Mrs. Funke Salako, said the Agency drew its inspiration for the project from Mr. President’s declaration “we must build Nigerians to build Nigeria”

She said in pursuit of this novel declaration from the President, National Orientation Agency, Nigeria., is embarking on a nationwide campaign on the National Anthem and the National Value Charter, an increasingly interconnected world, the elements of which serves as the foundation of our unity, pride, and purpose as a nation.

She describes the National Identity as not merely a set of symbols or a collection of historical events; it is the essence of who we are as a people encompassing our shared language, traditions, and values, and forming the bedrock of our cultural heritage. Our national identity, she added, fosters a sense of belonging, allowing us to connect deeply with one another and to celebrate our diversity that enriches our nation, making it vibrant and resilient.

Mrs. Salako further posited that the National Identity Project is the systemic reintroduction of the positive values we always had as a people and to reecho the messages to the leaders and the led that as we embrace our identities, we must also recognize the challenges we face world over as a result of globalization, migration, and technological advancements which sometimes dilute our cultural ties hence making it imperative we actively engage in preserving and promoting our national identity, ensuring that future generations inherit a rich and meaningful legacy for a better nation

On the National Value Charter, the NOA Ogun boss said the charter is not just a document but a commitment to uphold and promote the core values that define our nation. It articulates principles such as respect, integrity, inclusivity, and responsibility which if adhered to will reinforce our national identity and create a framework for collaboration and understanding among our citizens, therefore the Charter serves as a guide for individuals, institutions, and government bodies, encouraging us to align our actions with the ideals we cherish and empowers citizens to actively participate in nation-building, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility toward our collective future.

She highlighted the National Value Charter as based on 7 Citizens codes and the 7 Nigerian promises. The citizens codes, she mentioned, are the expectation of the government from the citizens which includes Discipline, Tolerance and Respect, Duty of Care, Environmental Awareness, Resilience, Leadership, Transparency while the 7 Nigerian promise the citizenry likewise expects from the government are
Equality, Inclusivity, Entrepreneurship and Employment, Democracy, Peace and Security, Freedom and Justice, and Meritocracy.

She said part of what the Federal Government intended to do is the creation of institutions that will be the support system for this project, and will lead to the creation of 37,000 Citizens Brigade members across the country, which will translate to 1000 Citizen Brigade per state including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with adequate representation in primary and secondary schools in the country fashioned after the Boys Brigade with a “Catch them Young and Train them on National Values” Agenda

She disclosed that the other half of the Agency's campaign, is the promotion and popularisation of the National Anthem with the intent to encourage everyone to learn and reflect on the Anthem. And in carrying on this campaign, the NOA will be engaging in a series of activities such as Town hall meetings, stakeholders engagement, roadshows, social media campaigns, conventional media appearances, etc, till December 2024.

"As we reflect on our national identity and the principles outlined in the National Value Charter, let us remember that each of us plays a crucial role. We must embody these values in our daily lives, promoting unity, respect, and compassion in our communities. By doing so, we not only honor our past but also pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.

In conclusion, let us stand together, embracing our national identity and upholding the values enshrined in the National Value Charter. Together, we can build a nation that is not only proud of its heritage but also committed to fostering a harmonious and prosperous society for all", she said.
