Job Description
PUI is implementing humanitarian activities in Nigeria since April 2016, supporting the population with food security, nutrition and health project in Maiduguri and Borno State.
PUI is now looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer for its Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Department to contribute to the development of an M&E System for the Nigeria mission.

General Objective
Under the supervision of the deputy meal manager, the M&E officer will contribute to the implementation of M&E activities in the field through supporting project/field officers, partner staffs and community facilitators/mobilizers in data collection, consolidation and quality management and undertake M&E related activities and implementation of an appropriate monitoring and evaluation system for successful delivery and attainment of project goals and objectives.

Specific Objective and Linked Activities
Implementation of the monitoring & evaluation plan
Coordinate the collection, reporting and validation of monitoring data of project teams and ensure the data reported by field officers/program managers is accurate and of good quality and reported in a timely manner.
Undertake regular visits to field locations/project sites to support monitoring and evaluation processes and activities related to all sectors of pui interventions.
Support supervision of base level project staff and ensure that their capacities are built and that they are supported to deliver on their day to day m&e work by constant communication and joint field level m&e activities.
Assist the deputy meal manager/meal manager in supporting project teams in designing and regularly updating project m&e guidelines and tools and ensure that project staff have access and capacity to use the tools.
Provide training to field level project staff on the use of the m&e system including survey sampling and piloting of m&e tools, conducting assessments and the implementation of periodic evaluation activities including baseline surveys, research and evaluations in all sectors.
Ensure utilization by all projects of appropriate data collection and reporting templates that facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of data.
Produce monitoring checklists and conduct regular joint field process monitoring, quality assessments and data validation, and provide feedback and recommendations for timely improvement.
Ensure that community leaders and beneficiaries are actively participating in all project and m&e activities.
Internal and External Reporting
Update deputy meal manager/meal manager and program managers on daily achievements and challenges encountered on the field, at the end of each day
Verbally contribute and participate in weekly base meetings including accurate reporting on successes and challenges;
Ensure that the data collected goes through a data cleaning and validation process each day;
Ensure all data is channelled through the im system each day
Develop reports that synthesize and synchronize initial key finding (needs) and results (outputs/outcomes) such as indicator tracking table, etc.
Keep monitoring tools and files archived at the pui office, ensuring their availability to the meal deputy manager and/or meal manager
Pass on any information or problems to her/his direct and/or indirect supervisor concerning her/his task, pui programs, or safety aspects
Capitalization/Institutional knowledge Building
Use lessons learnt combined with field experience to provide contributions and feedback, including during design phases of field tools and assessments;
Participate actively in team workshops and lessons learnt seminars;
Actively engage in ongoing trainings and knowledge building;
Lead training of beneficiaries, community leaders, community facilitators/mobilisers and field staff on m&e if needed.
Communication & Follow Ups
Respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information when approached;
Respond to any requests within pui that might require an alternative communication method or plan of action;
Logistics & Administration
Perform administrative support activities for the deputy meal manager/meal manager including, but not limited to, preparation of meetings, recording of minutes, verbal and written translation.
Ensure the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools related to m&e activities.
Manage the supply of materials to the work site in collaboration with logistic department.

Work experience: At least two years similar experience in an international ngos/on-site training in social or monitoring work.

There once was Iltorobo section but was assimilated by other sections. A majority of the Maasai population lives in Kenya.

Sections such as Isikirari, Parakuyu, Kore, and Ilarusa lives in Tanganyika.

It is widely speculated that the Maasai's ancestors originated in North Africa, migrating south along the Nile Valley where they arrive in Northern Kenya in the middle of the 15th century.

They continued southward, conquering all of the tribes in their path, extending through the Rift Valley and arriving in Tanzania at the end of 19th century.

As they continued to migrate, they attacked their neighbors and raided cattle. By the end of their journey, the Maasai had taken over almost all of the land in the Rift Valley as well as the adjacent land from Mount Marsabit to Dodoma, where they settled to graze their cattle.

The Maasai can be recognized by the special red cloth they wear which is called a Shuka. Maasai people live a nomadic life, which means they move from place to place with their animals.

Maasai people look rather peculiar. They pierce their earlobes and stretch them by wearing large, heavy earrings. They wear a lot of colorful beaded jewelry on their body. Women and children shave their heads.

It is estimated that over one million Maasai lives in Kenya and Tanzania.

When a man lusts in his heart after a woman, he has already committed adultery with her even though he has not physically slept with her. That mental adultery goes along side with masturbation.

The reason why I have decided to write this more elaborate article about why masturbation is wrong is that some people who are not Christians and don’t believe the authority of the Bible asked the question that apart from the Bible saying Masturbation is a sin, is there any other thing that proves that the act itself is wrong?

My aim therefore today is to give reasons why I believe that masturbation is still wrong even if we are not considering what Jesus said about adultery in the heart. I want to point out to all my readers that there are enough reasons to believe that Masturbation is wrong even without considering the fact that it is sinful.

20 REASONS WHY MASTURBATION IS WRONG.
1. Loss of interest in marriage:
Most men that actively practice the act of masturbation will in time lose taste for the institution of marriage.

2. Loss of life focus:
The men that actively masturbate tend to think about it most of the time. It is as bad as according to some psychologist, there are men who think about masturbating every 5 minutes making them to lose focus on the most important things in life. A man’s thoughts are supposed to be predominantly about his life’s goals, missions and purposes.

3. Feelings of inferiority complex:
In most cases when men practice masturbation on regular basis, they develop feelings of inferiority complex. They tend to think that they are not normal and in some cases they think they are the only ones suffering from this addiction. They think others are normal while they are not.

4. Late marriages:
They are normally late marriages among people who are addicted to practicing masturbation for a long time. They find it difficult to morally get themselves equipped and ready not seeing much need in it. In some cases they are afraid of the responsibilities that come with marriage.

5. Unhealthy sexual fantasies:
Most people who are involved in masturbation cannot really do without fantasizing. This process of fantasizing could be as gory and pervasive in the mind as it could get. This becomes a problem in marriage when a married man is sleeping with his wife yet in his fantasies he is actually not seeing his wife but other women.

6. The flesh is insatiable:
People involved in masturbation sooner or later discover that the hunger for sexual satisfaction is insatiable. Hence the process of seeking for pleasure always lands such an individual in the most sordid practices of sexual pervasion including soliciting the services of prostitutes and escorts.

7. It brings sexual pervasion into marriage:
For a married man who was used to masturbating before marriage, the degradation could continue to the extent of him not being able to be sexually aroused by his spouse. In which case most men have to result to watching pornographic films and pictures while they make love to their wives otherwise they will not be able to get themselves to be aroused.

8. Masturbation could lead to swinging in marriage:
The height of sexual pervasion that results from masturbation is what is called Player parties when men who are no more aroused by their partners go to the extent of engaging in sex with other married couples. Even going to the extent of arranging orgy parties for it.

9. Masturbation could lead to sexual fetishism:
A lot of young men go about stealing ladies underwear or getting close to women private belongings so as to use them as an act of sexual gratification. This is as a result of a long practice of self-gratification through masturbation that now looks for a more outward expression. This normally happens to men that lack the guts and boldness to approach a lady. It is a form of addiction.

10. Pornographic addiction:
Most people who practice masturbation end up becoming addicted to pornography because it provides secrecy and it allows for faster process of fantasy and ejaculation. The problem is that it becomes addictive sooner or later.

11. Masturbation leads to horrible sexual pervasion:
People who start out with masturbation have been found to be caught in rape, sex with animals, sadism, sadomasochism and other unthinkable pervasion. This is because the flesh can never be satisfied. The fantasy and the pursuit of sexual satisfaction is endless.

12. Masturbation leads to prostrate related diseases:
Most people who are actively involved in masturbation get complications in their later years, because of different complications they have with their health after the age of 40. It might not necessarily lead to prostate cancer for everybody, but it gives enough health concerns to be worried.

13. Selfishness and egocentrism in marriage:
A person that is used to satisfying himself sexually through masturbation continues to do that even after he is married. The wife will be constantly dissatisfied because the husband is not used to satisfying others but himself.

14. Premature ejaculation:
One of the main problems in marriage for people who have been involved in masturbation is premature ejaculation. Why that is a problem is that when a man suffers from premature ejaculation, the woman in most cases remains unsatisfied which could lead to complications in the marriage relationship.

15. Erectile dysfunction:
When someone engages in masturbation long enough, it gets to a point when you don’t really need erection to ejaculate and ones a man ejaculates he is satisfied but in marriage this becomes a problem, because erection is necessary to satisfy a partner sexually. It is also necessary for reproduction.

16. Feelings of Guilt and self-condemnation:
One of the most horrible consequences of masturbation is that most people who engage in it experience feelings of guilt and self-condemnation on a regular basis, which is also an indication to us that it is not natural to live a life of masturbation.

17. Depression and gloominess:
Masturbation often results in feelings of depression and gloominess. Most people who are involved in masturbation become moody and closed because they are afraid of sharing their experience with people because of the fear of condemnation and being misunderstood.

18. Inability to build healthy relationship with the opposite sex:
Most people who are involved in masturbation are so used to living within themselves, they reach agreements with themselves that they often don’t know how to build the complicated relationship with the opposite sex. In a relationship you need to constantly find out what the other person’s interest is. This could lead to men preferring not to marry or even to divorce after marriage.

19. Social and societal awkwardness:
Most such men feel awkward and unaccepted in the society and among their peers. They feel out of place if they don’t have a girlfriend or if they don’t marry at a certain age or they are uninterested in woman. On the other hand, they might feel they are under pressure from the society to get a wife even though they don’t have the interest. They might be pushed into marrying to make children even when they don’t have love for their partner. They have all sorts of awkwardness due to masturbation.

20 Lack of strong will:
The problem of masturbation is an affirmation of the fact that a man has stopped fighting. It is an acceptance of defeat. In most cases when you accept defeat in a particular area of your life, it could go a long way to affecting you in other areas. It now becomes easier to give up rather than to fight.

Conclusion:
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to state here that by this article I am by no means trying to condemn anyone. On the opposite, my intention is to give a helping hand to all men and women that are faced with this challenge. The reason I can authoritatively write about this subject is because I was a victim of sexual addiction especially masturbation. I can testify to the fact that God can give victory to anyone that so desires.

I also want to let you know that if you are reading this article, you should be on the lookout for another article which is going to be about concrete steps to overcome masturbation.

Meanwhile I will wish to encourage every man or family that is struggling with this habit to start by stopping to condemn yourself and each other. Make sure you shift your attention from the dominance of masturbation into more relevant topics of life like goals, purposes, missions, etc.

I also want to say that even when you are already free from masturbation, you should not assume that there would not be times when you will experience a low point. The most important thing to fight against becoming addicted. That is you don’t practice it on a permanent or constant basis. If it is only a matter of occasional failure, simply get up, dust yourself off and keep moving. Move on towards your goals, targets and destination in life. When you keep on fighting that way soon you will find out that you are experiencing more and more victory until you eventually discover that it is no more a question of worry or concern in your life.

Spend less time deliberating within yourself or fighting in your mind. Focus on your love for God and on building a closer relationship with your creator. It is my belief that love is stronger than any sin. If your love for God is stronger than for any habit, you are in a safe place.

NECO GCE results statistics...Examstuts present you the 2017 NECO GCE results statistics as announced by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of Prof. Charles Uwakwe.

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2017 November /December External Senior School Certificate Examination results.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof. Charles Uwakwe, who announced this in Minna, said a total of 42, 985 candidates registered, out of which 42, 429 sat for the examinations, and the number of candidates with five credits including Mathematics and English Language put at 24, 098 (56.79%).

According to him 32, 917 candidates representing 77.58 percent have five credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics, pointing out the performance represents a slight improvement of 1.72 percent over last year.

The analysis shows that 32, 701 candidates representing 78.82 percent scored credit and above in mathematics, while 29, 258 representing 70.62 percent have credits and above in English Language.

Ogun topping the chart of candidates’ performance by states with 91.42 percent.

How to Join the Nigerian Army
Are You eligible to join the Nigerian Army?
To join the Nigerian Army, you must meet all the following requirements and conditions:

You must be of Nigerian origin by birth. What this means is that you must be born in Nigeria to Nigerian parents. If you’re from another country or you’re a Nigerian by naturalization (and not by birth), then you are not qualified to join the Nigerian Army.

You must be between 18-22 years of age at the time of application. If you are not yet up to 18 years old, you will have to wait a bit longer. However, if you are already older than 22, then you are no longer eligible to join the Nigerian Army.

You must be fit medically, physically, and psychologically. That is, you must not have any persistent health issues or suffer chronic conditions like asthma. Neither must you have any physical or mental disabilities.

You must not be less than 1.65 meters tall (men) and 1.56 meters tall (women). Yes, your height alone can truncate your dreams of joining the Nigerian Army. So, check your height now. If you are shorter than the values stated, then your dream dies here.

You must be free of any criminal conviction. That is, you must not have been convicted of any crime – major or minor – at any point in the past. If you have been charged with an offence before, then you cannot join the Nigerian Army.

You must attend the zonal screening exercises at the designated zonal centre for your state. Note that the zonal screening centre may not be in your own state, but in one of the neighbouring states. Only one zonal screening centre will be available for applicants from all states within a designated zone. So, get ready to travel if the screening centre isn’t in your own state.

You must duly complete all forms and submit them at the examination venue on the date fixed for the screening examination.

Now a new report by the British innovation foundation Nesta and University of Oxford future-gazers from the Oxford Martin School tries to establish how those changes will affect skill requirements by 2030. First, the team behind the research identified occupations that look set to be automated away (such as shelf fillers, van drivers, and administrators) and those that are likely to grow in the face of technology’s encroachment (including teachers, biotech researchers, and nurses).

Then, they looked at the skills that were most common among the occupations that had the greatest prospect of growing in the future, to work out which would be most useful when the robots come. From the report, here are the top five desirable future work skills:

Judgment and decision making: Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Fluency of ideas: The ability to come up with a number of ideas about a topic (the number of ideas is important, not their quality, correctness, or creativity).
Active learning: Learning strategies—selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
Learning strategies: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Originality: The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
That all suggests that things like creativity, adaptability, and judgment will be more important than, say, subject-specific knowledge or the ability to use a nail gun. It’s hard to argue with that: the former skills all represent abilities that are a long way from appearing in any machine, while the latter can easily be replaced by simple AIs and robots.

Little did the young man know that he was being monitored. Not too long the manager came out of his office to their bewilderment. There were expecting to be called into an office to be interviewed. But the man told them that their interview has been already conducted and the best two has been selected. Guess who they picked firs-My friend’s brother. These people were being tested on how persistent they are. Learn to be persistent and never give up. It will help you get a job this year.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that there will be a MOCK EXAMINATION before the conduct of the 2018 UTME.

Without goals, there can be no meaningful achievement; it will be of help if you decide on how much you want to score on your JAMBUTME CBT exams. Setting this goal and deciding on the score you want will enable you to create a plan to achieve the feat. The key to finding what you want knowing what you want. You can say something like this year I will get 360 in my JAMB exams. Then you asked yourself how can I get this score? Focus on working hard to get the score of your desire. Study three to four hours a day is not bad.

2. Create a timetable
Working blindly can be very unproductive. You need to create a study guide to help you get focus and stabilized. You need to be sure of the subject that will require more time for study. If you’re a not too good in mathematics, for example, you need to spend more time on it.

One hour a day can never be enough. If you have over 15 years of past questions to tackle, you will better understand what I’m talking about. You can also find a study partner if you think this will help you.



3. Stick to your study plan
You need to stick to your study plan without deviating. Consistency is the only bridge between accomplishment and goal. No matter how wonderful your goal, you will never go anywhere without being consistent. If you are reading 4 hours a day, you need to stick to it. Never miss a day, follow your study schedule religiously.

4. Start reading immediately after getting a study schedule
Procrastination they say is a thief of time, if you are the type that experiences the force of inertia when you want to act, you will find it hard to succeed. You need to start reading immediately you finish setting up your study schedule. If you don’t start reading immediately, you might never be able to follow you study schedule again.

5. Get Jamb syllabus
This one is very important. You can’t just be reading as you like. You need to download JAMB syllabus. You can download it here. If you need to pass your JAMB this year in one sitting then start thinking about getting JAMB syllabus. This will make your problem half solved.

6. Get Jamb Past Question
Is jamb past questions still relevant in this CBT era? If you ask me I will say they still help. Examination past questions have always been a lifesaver for every exam. It will be an additional boost for your jamb CBT software.

Just remember that you are not the only one writing JAMB. You have only about 295,095 chances (about 20%) of passing JAMB and gaining admission in 2016/2017. Candidates from Ghana, Cameroun, Ethiopia, Togo, Benin Republic will write the same exam with you. So it’s as serious as that and you need to sit up!

9. Use textbook or exams focus
Well, this might not really count in this era of CBT but it is still a helping factor if you really want to pass JAMB in one setting and never visit the JAMB registration center again.

10. Have a good phone
What has phone got to do with this? A lot and don’t forget that phones now perform most PC function. The phone can help you in your JAMB CBT practice as well as sourcing for adequate and relevant information online.

11. Borrow a computer from someone
Do you need to borrow a laptop? You can borrow a computer from a trusted friend. This will help you in practice and be conversant with the computer keyboard if you are not too conversant with the keyboard. But be honest in your dealings. Return the laptop in good condition to the owner.

12. Keep your documents handy and ready
You will need your exam print out, and a few other things as listed on the photo card. Get all of them ahead of time and try to memorize your registration number. Make photocopies where the need is and make sure you are lacking nothing. Eat and read each day until the D day. Do this once and for all, and with prestige.

13. Practice every day at least once a day
Like I said earlier in this post, practice makes perfect. Read at least four hours once a day. Make sure you master a particular topic before you move over to the next one. As you keep on practicing relentlessly, you will certainly succeed.

14. Write the exams in your mind before the actual exams
There is what we call mind mapping. You can create the exams scenario in your mind. Write the exams in your mind first, pass it in your mind and gain the admission in your mind. As you do this, you will observe how at ease you will be in the exams hall.

15. Prepare very adequately for English
