Engineering is almost about computer hardwares while science is about software...

But both of them are scam.

Some computer science students can't even operate a computer.

Sad reality, i studied computer science in UNIUYO, so i can releate. But i thank God for the internet, through which i learnt coding and was introduced to the immortal world of blogging and ecommerce which i make a very decent living from today. If you want o be a computer scientist, study it outside Nigeria. That is when you will know that Most compter analyst are welled paid than medical professonals.

Career / Re: Why Masturbation Can Destroy Your Career by Otyemmanuel(m): 5:23pm On Sep 18, 2019
LegendHero:
Nigerians and all their rubbish theory. Masturbation has been one of the oldest personal satisfaction method ever known to mankind.

Masturbation has nothing to do with success or failure, it's all in your head bro. We have learnt to project bad influences of masturbation without trying to mention the good sides also.

I have been masturbating since 2010, and I know of guys that have been doing it before then and we are all successful. Masturbation is not drug or bad thing, it is personal satisfaction, if God never plan it for man to masturbate why did he made it easy to cum all by yourself?

It is God's plan and please stop writing distorted facts to discourage people Mr. OP.

Let me sk you a question. Can you masturbate without porn? Masturbation leads to porn addiction. Searching for porn on the net is time wastage which would have been used to do something productive. As a recovering Porn addict who have been addicted for over 8years i can emphatically say that masturbation and porn addiction leaves you empty and mentally drain. My advise seek a psychologist. Religion is not even the answer. OP is 99.9% Correct.

Education / OSPOLY Iree Shut Indefinitely After Students Set School Clinic Ablaze by Otyemmanuel(m): 5:17pm On Jun 03, 2019
Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has been shut indefinitely as students staged a violent protest over the death of a colleague after he slumped in the examination hall on Friday. The protesting students who stormed the school’s health centre on Saturday morning set the school clinic and medical equipment ablaze.

It was learnt that one Aminu Hammed, a Higher National Diploma student of the institution’s Department of Applied Chemistry, slumped in the examination hall on Friday, May 31, and was rushed to the school clinic, where he later died.

The protesting students, who stormed the clinic on Saturday morning, alleged that there was no medical personnel at the clinic to attend to Hammed when he was rushed to the clinic.

During the protest, the school’s ambulance, drugs and equipment in the clinic were set ablaze by the students.

To curb further breakdown of law and order on campus, the school management ordered the indefinite closure of the school, asking all students to vacate the premises with immediate effect.

The Memo signed by the Registrar, Barr. B.M salary, reads in part: “This is to inform the general public that Osun State Polytechnic Iree has been closed down indefinitely. As a result of this, all students are to vacate the school premises with immediate effect.”

Crime / 5 Lessons Every Youth MUST Learn From The Naira Marley’s Case by Otyemmanuel(m): 3:16pm On May 25, 2019
5 Lessons Every Youth MUST Learn From The Naira Marley’s Case.

I saw this article on naijaloaded and i felt i should share it here for every reader to see.

Okay!! so Naira Marley has been in the news lately over his unabashed and unashamed support for Internet fraud.

The whole thing started when he said on Instagram, “If you know about the history of slavery, you go know say, Yahoo no be crime“.

That statement alone generated spines of controversies with several celebrities weighing in their opinions on the issue of Internet fraud.

Weeks after, Naira Marley is cooling off in the confines of Ikoyi Prison.

Read also: 10 Facts You Need To Know About Naira Marley (No. 5 Is Very Shocking)

It started from being invited for questioning to spending several days at the EFCC detention facility together with Zlatan and three others and now he has been charged to court alone.

As humans, we make mistakes, it now behooves on us to learn from our mistakes to achieve greater things.

You might want to ask, what does this whole Naira Marley and EFCC drama teach us?

What can we learn as fans from the mistakes of Naira Marley and make sure we ourselves don’t make this same mistake?

Read 5 Things Everyone Should Learn From Naira Marley’s Case:-

1. Always Mind Your Business
For God’s sake if Naira Marley had focused on his career, this whole issue would have been averted.

Let me chip in this, majority of the consequences we are facing now are results of the actions or choices we’ve made in the past.

If Naira Marley had made that Yahoo statement and stopped at that, God knows EFCC would not have come for him.

But man went on attacking everyone who disagreed with him, did Instagram live to say all sorts as regards such sensitive issue of National importance.

To crown it all, he hit the studio to record a song. At this point the whole country was already aware of Naira Marley and possibilities of him being a yahoo-boy with musical talents.

Infact, most of his actions made it look like the country had no laws.

But come to think of it, would Naira Marley be remanded in jail if he had minded his business and not say a word about Simi‘s comment on Yahoo-boys? Hell, NO!!

2. Never Do Anything For The Gram Or For Fame

At the beginning of the whole outburst by Naira Marley, it looked like he was enjoying the fame and the attention he was getting from every of his comments on yahoo-yahoo.

What does profit Naira Marley that profit all the fame and loose his own freedom.

He’s been to prison now, got his name tainted, embellished in the mud, got negative attention to his career. Yeah, he might pull through with this eventually and be free.

What if he had decided to “waka jeje inside life” and kept quiet the moment he felt he is about to be treated like Fela, Mandela and President Kennedy who were even fighting for the right cause.

EFCC just had to utilize the whole scenario to prove a point so people won’t say they are afraid of entertainers.

Naira got the fame, got the clout, fed from the popularity of Internet fraud to his advantage. At the end of the day, it got him into trouble.

3. Don’t Listen To The Crowd

At some point in the whole issue, some people especially the so-called yahoo boys be like, “Naira Jekanmo“, “Tell Them” urging him to keep the fire burning.

But how many of the so-called Marlians giving him ginger to keep talking about illegal Internet-fraud matter are with him at Ikoyi Prisons now?

In this life we just have to be careful about the kind of advices we take. Some are harmful, few are beneficial.

4. There Are Consequences For All Our Actions

Naira Marley‘s ordeal teaches us that whatever we are going through now is as a result of the choices and actions we’ve done in the past.

If Naira Marley had focused on next big music project after having successful Marlian Concert, God knows prison won’t be his location right now.

Whatever actions you take now, know that there are going to be consequences for it later. So, always do what is right.

5. Lastly, Don’t Talk While Eating

If truly Naira Marley does all he is accused of, he could have been silent about it knowing fully well that the law of the country frowns at it.

Yahoo-Yahoo is illegal but to some extent our society accept it due to the need to survive in the face of hard economy.

The truth is, yahoo-yahoo is best practiced under “G“. Make your money lowkey and enjoy, don’t come out and still be glorifying it.

In Naira Marley‘s case, he decided to be the PRO of the YBA, Yahoo Boys Association which has landed him an apartment in Ikoyi Prisons.

A word they say is enough for the wise!

Everyone wants Naira Marley out of jail.

We want him to continue his flourishing music career but his mistakes has cost him his freedom, only time will tell if it will cost him his career.

This is an opportunity for everyone to learn from the mistake he has made and become better people!

Education / 7 Key Strategies To Plan Your Life Before Graduation by Otyemmanuel(m): 10:00am On May 22, 2019
Ever heard the saying that failure to plan is planning to fail! This is very true. Do you hope to have a good life after grad? Then you must start now to plan your life. Why is it so vital to rightly arranged and plan your life before you graduate from school? Well, just know that after graduation you are on your own. Before graduation, everybody is looking out for your interest, but after graduation, you are expected to be a man or woman of your own. So here we have decided to list out some key strategies to plan your life before graduation which will help you in the long run.

Here are some important ways to plan your life before graduation.

1. Understand Life Before Graduation.

Life before school, life during school and life after school are not the same. That is one thing you have to allow to stick into your brain.
It is of great importance that you know that you are expected to be a man or woman of your own once you have graduated.
But before graduation, you are expected to be look after both by family and relative. Before graduation, thing are easily given to you. What about life after graduation?

2. Understand Life After Graduation

After grad, everything changes. It’s like the metamorphosis of a baby, while the baby is some months old and can neither work nor talk, the child will be given everything, but once the child comes of age, the child is expected to do some things by independent of help. The same is the case of life after graduation. I hope you get the analogy.

3. Learn A Skill Before, During And After School.

That will be a total of three skills, assuming that you learnt a different skill each time. I never planned to study computer science in school, but after learning how to designed websites, I didn’t have any problem supplementing from mechanical engineering to computer science when post UTME did not favour me. Today I live off the skill I learnt-Designing websites and blogging. These skills you acquire might just be the saving grace you need.

4. To Save Money

Saving money is very important. In fact saving money is a skill, a skill that requires a high level of discipline. If you save money, you will save yourself from some rainy days that are coming. While a student, before grad you can actually be saving 20% of your pocket money assuming you are not working part-time anywhere. If you do this consistently for four to five year, even you will be surprise by the results.

5. Never Center All Your Hope On Certificates.

Graduating with first class is not bad, but if you are thinking of graduating with first class so that you can land the highest paying Job, sorry brother. It just might not work the way you the way you think. This is the more reason why you should have a skill. You will have to get yourself gainfully employed while waiting for a white collar job. You might even be doing so well with your business that you decide not to work for anybody again.

6. Learn How To Use Computers Effectively

You will need certain computer skills to survive in this 21st century. You can even learn some programming languages and learn how to code. The world has gone so digital that lacking computer skills in this 21st century will make you look like an alien. There are great ICT entrepreneurs today who never studied computer science. Do you know that the founder of Twitter was not a computer science student? In fact he learned how to code on his own. He was never even a graduate. But look what he created for the world.

7. Start A Trade/Business With Your Skill.

Why let what you’ve learnt waste? It will be of utmost importance that you start a good trade/business with any skill which you have acquired before graduation. This will certainly give you daily bread. Do not wait to be employed before you can boast of personal money. As far as the 21st century is concerned, anybody who blames the government for his financial predicament is lazy. Get up and do something with your life.
List Of Skills You Can Learn And Make Money.

Bakery
• Dry Cleaning
• Hampering
• Film production

There are over a thousand skills you can learn and grow on. For a comprehensive list of skills and business you can learn and grow on see the article 50 business ideas you can learn in Nigerian.

With this kind of information, are you still going to blame the government if you are broke as a graduate? Get up and do something meaningful about your life.

Read! Read! Read!
Have a schedule for studying

If you are a science student practice without calculator
So let’s see the break down on how to use this tips

1. Familiarize yourself with the Syllabus
What syllabus am I talking about here? Well get the Post-UTME syllabus of your choice school and go through it thoroughly.

It is an invitation of failure to stay without doing anything and when it is two months to the exams you decide to kill yourself with overwork.

There is a popular saying that if your fail to plan you are planning to fail. In the event of not preparing enough for your upcoming Post-UTME Admission Screening Exams, you have eventually booked your place amongst the prospective candidates for next year Post-UTME exams.

2. Get past question

Nobody expecting examination success can do without past questions. As a student, past questions had always been my best companion. The best thing to do once you have known that you have pass the UTME threshold is to get post-UTME past questions. We are compiling our past questions now once we are done we will notify all our readers and distribute it to all. Click here to see our past questions.

3. Know the departmental cut off mark for your course

It will be a worst nightmare to prepare for a course whose cut off mark is high and you know you don’t stand a chance in the Post-UTME exams. Verify the departmental cut off marks of all the courses in your choice school before applying for the admission screening. You can click here to see all the Jamb and departmental cut of mark of all the schools in Nigeria.

4. Apply for Exams on time
One of the causes of failures in external exams is when you are not well informed about the application date and schedule. Apply on time if you want to pass well. You can visit this page to see which schools have released their post-UTME form.

5. Know your subject combination

Do you know the subjects that are needed to get admission in that course you are applying for? Stop wasting water on the back of the fowl.

It will be disheartening to go through all the stress only to discover that you don’t ave the required papers needed for admission in that course.

Take time to find out these things

6. Be hungry for success

A man once said if the mountain does not come to the Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain. If you are not hungry for success, you might just find yourself struggling to succeed in your admission screening exams

7. Do not procrastinate

Procrastination is a thief of time as we all know. That might just sound too familiar, but have you sat down to think about how procrastination can really affect you in exams?

When it is time to read, you must read. Don’t procrastinate for any reason. Putting aside laziness when it is time to read will ensure that you are fully prepared.

8. Read! Read! Read!
What more can I say about this? Of course you know very well that if you don’t read you don’t have any chance of making it. So do the needful to consummate your success.

9. Have a schedule for studying
Reading at will and at any time wouldn’t take you far. You must have a time table and schedule which you must stick to it religiously. Like I keep saying, consistency is the only bridge between accomplishment and goals. If you stick to your study schedule, the chances are high that you will make it.

10.Put your past questions into use

Here is when your post-UTME past question will become very useful. Make sure you use your past questions very well. You can see how to use past question to your advantage here.

11.Test and time yourself
While preparing for the Post-UTME admission screening exams, one thing you have to do is set a particulate time for answering questions. Once this time is over, don’t continue answering questions. By this , you will discipline yourself to use the time that will be allocated to you wisely.

12.Learn to use memory technique

You should also learn to use memory techniques such as Mnemonic, Acrostic and even cramming. It helps. It will help you if you can take a look at this article on how to pass any exams excellently where I talked extensively on memory techniques.

13.If you are a science student practice without calculator
You should be aware by now that calculators are not allowed in Post-UTME admission screening exams. Hide your calculator at home or better still throw it away. Work out your calculations without calculators. This will help you get at ease when you are presented with papers without calculators.

With these tips you should be able to scale through the up-coming Post-UTME exams.

We wish you all the success and Good luck! in you up-coming admission screening exams.

Please share to help others.
