How to Study and Never Forget…Have you ever been faced with the dilemma of studying so hard for an examination or test only to get into the exam hall and your brain seems to be empty? It won’t simply regurgitate anything. Personally I’m not convinced “studying hard” is a way to succeed academically or even remember stuff you’ve learned. Studying smart, on the other hand, is. If you want to remember what you’ve learned, you need to fight off The Forgetting Curve. To remember thinks, you, first of all, understand the concept. The main reason why people forget is that they cram! Please be warned: We do not encourage anybody to use cramming as a method of retention. You will forget everything. Unless you are very lucky to be able to remember stuff having read it only once, you need to transfer the information you’re ‘consuming’ from your sensory memory (visual/auditory) to working memory and then to long-term memory. Reading and Never forgetting does not start and end with opening a book. It goes beyond that. It begins in the classroom. So let’s begin to look at the ways you can study without forgetting. Start Planning from Day One Put everything into plans and paper. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail and so does the popular saying goes. Create a plan on how you will be studying, and do not just read heedlessly, be directed. Have a timetable and schedule. Have a Schedule Create a schedule for studying, do not just study haphazardly, study with the organization. Create a timetable for studying and make sure that you stick to what you have for the day. Have a Specific Place for Studying Create a Specific place for studying, do not study or read in every corner. Stay at a specific place to read and your brain will be used to it. This way, whenever you sit down to read, your brain processes faster because of the familiarity of the terrain. Be Focus (Avoid Distraction) This might not be an easy thing to do as we are constantly faced with distractions everywhere. Staying focus is not easy and that is just the truth! This is why I advised that you create a specific place for studying- a place which you go to whenever you have a material to absolve. Just try and be disciplined. Some of the distractions you should avoid when reading is; Phone and electronic gadgets, television, social media, multitasking. Avoid these things as much as possible. Read With Notes As you are reading, make sure to write down in your own words the things you are reading. This shows that you understand what you are reading to a certain level. As you write, your brain is retaining some of the things you write down. That is how the brain is wired. Chew Gum or Drink Coffee While Reading Chewing gum while reading will keep your brain active and keep you from sleeping. Some researchers believe that the act of chewing gum actually allows more oxygen into your brain, which helps you concentrate better. Read Out Aloud What You Are Reading Read aloud what you are reading. This does not work for all people though. But it surely helps in creating an impression on your mind. Discuss With or Teach Someone Else This often works in a group study where you discuss what you have read with someone else or teach it to someone else. The best way to learn is to teach. This is why teachers seem to know so much about their subjects because they teach it every time. Write out what you have to memorize When you have memorized, try writing down the things that you have memorized and see how accurate you are. It can also be helpful to write out an outline of the materials you are trying to learn. Just the process of organizing the materials in a visual manner can help your brain recall the information in an organized manner. Test Your Self or do an Exercise. When you have completed your study, always do an exercise or take a short test to gauge your ability in what you have studied. Once you are done with the test, research the material again, and take another test for the things you did not remember. Use Mnemonics Mnemonic is a memory technique. You must have heard about this before. I have used it several times before and it has been working for me. For instance, you can remember the names of the Great Lakes (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior) by remembering the word HOMES. The first letter of the name of each lake is used to create that new word. Create Rhymes for what you are trying to remember This is the best way to use in teaching nursery school students. For example in remembering the number of days in the different months of the year, I was taught the rhyme- Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November, all the rest are thirty-one except February alone which has twenty-eight day and twenty-nine days in a leap year! And just like that, you have grabbed the months that have thirty days. Develop a Mind Map What is a mind map? Mind maps are pictures and diagrams you create in your mind to remember concepts and ideas. They help show relationships between pieces of information so you can better understand the connections between different concepts or groups of data. You can create a mind map on paper, or there are computer tools to help you create them digitally. And Finally, Sleep and Eat Well If you do not rest, you will burn out. You need to rest your brain and eat healthy food. When you sleep, your brain converts facts from short-term memory to long-term memory. Even a short nap can help with this process. This is why it is recommended that you go for short breaks and naps whenever you are studying. And just one addition…Listen to classical music! It will surely calm your claim after the stress of studying a voluminous material. That’s all for now on how to study and never forget. Do you have any other tip whip you believe can help in recalling facts after reading? Please do not hesitate to share it with us in the comment section. Thank you. emmyw:Thanks, mate. I actually did a deep researched and discovered the cause. I had more than 3 ID publishers on my theme header, php! Which is against google policy. So I've rectified it. |
Please I have a question and it's very important to me. I need an answer as I have tried everything to find the problem, but I couldn't. What could cause Adsense not to count my pageview, e.g my page views might be 7000, but AdSense ends up counting only 300, making the CTR higher thank the PV, which can cause a ban. Please I need help as Adsense is the only source of monetization on my blog. Thank!

Christmas Songs To Download This December…Christmas period is a time to bond, merry and engage in activities with family members. Doing this without some sensational Christmas songs will be very boring. We have compiled over 100 great Christmas songs for your download. Download here and listen. Here are the top Christmas songs in no particular. Download for your listening pressure. John Fahey- The First Noel Tired from the fact that nobody was willing to buy albums of experimental American primitive guitar music but they bought White Christmas every year, John Fahey recorded an album of Christmas instrumentals. It was, by a margin, his bestselling record. A typical of his work, but beautiful. The Sonics- Don’t Believe in Christmas The Sonics believe that some folks liked the taste of straight strychnine, , so of course they didn’t believe in Christmas. What happened when they stayed up late to try to catch a glimpse of Santa? “Well, sure enough, don’t ya know / The fat boy didn’t show.” Cheeky so-and-sos. Emmy the great & Tim Wheeler-Christmas Day (I Wish I Was Surfing) With a much more sound similar to Ash than Emmy the Great-and the loudest, most raucous thing on their 2011 Christmas album – this is a song that sounds joyous, but is really about the desire to escape, to anywhere that isn’t cold. So long as it’s not alone. Little Joey Farr- Rock’n’Roll Christmas This song- Rock’n’Roll and rockability are a treasure troove of christmas novelty nimbers (give a try to (try Marlene Paula’s I Want To Spend Xmas with Elvis) but there is only room for one which we got. So, given Christmas is all about the kids, bless their souls, let’s have a song by an actual kid who promptly disappeared from the pop world. Lou Rawls- Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town Right from when i was a kid, this song has always been the de la creme of christmas songs. One imagines this would be the soundtrack to Don Draper’s Christmas – as creamy as eggnog, with a supple swing that’s nagging but not unobtrusive, it’s exactly the sound of an idealised Christmas from the 60s. Rawls made a ton of Christmas albums, but his first from 1967 is the best. Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Rudy Sarzo & Simon Wright- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Think of Black Sabbath- Think of how chritmas will sound reimagined by it. The most oddly foreboding of all the big Christmas songs suits the grinding and roaring. And it helps, naturally, that it contains a reference to “Satan’s power”. Saint Etienne- I was born on Christmas Day A song as sweet as a selection box. From fire and brimstone to prosecco and chocolate, bursting with optimism for the winter: “Getting groovy after Halloween / Mid-November, got back on the scene / I’m so glad that I just got my pay / I was born on Christmas Day!” The Free Design- Close Your mouth (It’s Christmas) “Get to know the people in your house,” they sing. “You might like them.” Draper knocks back a whisky, raises an eyebrow and shakes his head. Probably the song that goes on in Don Draper’s apartment after Lou Rawls, when the hip young kids have arrived. Sally Shapiro- Anorak Christmas Another beautiful Christmas piece. Sally falls in love on a Tuesday before Christmas, “at a gig with a band that we both liked”. A gorgeous bauble from the mid-00s wave of Scandinavian music that crossed electropop with the feyest indie. Solomon Burke-Present for Christmas Acclaim king of rock’n’soul pitches himself somewhere between a revivalist preacher and Santa Claus: “We want to give out a present to everybody this Christmas! All around the world for every man, woman, boy and girl!” he exclaims in the intro. Joy Zipper- Christmas Song Here comes a chritmas piece from the duo briefly toasted at the start of the last decade. Kevin Shields and David Holmes produced, and you can bet Beach House were listening. Go download it and Listen to it. Neil Halstead- The man in the Santa Suit Trully speaking, this particlar version is only here because the fountain of Wayne original – an homage to the Kinks’ Father Christmas – isn’t on Spotify. But what a perfect, sad song: “And he’s a big red cherry / But it’s hard to be merry / When the kids are all laughing / Saying: ‘Hey, it’s Jerry Garcia.’” The Everly brother- Christmas Can Kill You The Man in the Santa Suit is a laughfest compared to this Everly Brothers number from 1972, about a hitcher alone the night before Christmas. Santo & Johnny- Twistin’ Bells Do we need cheering up? I think we do. Thank goodness, then, for the twangy guitars of Brooklyn duo Santo & Johnny, the gaudy, overlit shop window that contrasts with the stark loneliness of the Everly Brothers. Run-DMC: Christmas in Hollis When it comes to good Christmas songs, Hip-Hop hasn’t been a huge source of Christmas songs, but Run-DMC was on top of it back in the first golden age. What would you do if you found Santa’s wallet on Hollis Avenue? See also: The history of Christmas. Download Other Top Christmas Songs Jimmy McGriff- Winter Wonderland Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings: Ain’t No Chimneys in the Projects Sons of Heaven- When Was Jesus Born? Thea Gilmore- Listen, the Snow Is Falling The Temptations- Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Clarence Carter- Back Door Santa Ramone-Danny Says Cristina- Things Fall Apart Joni Mitchell-River David Banner-The Christmas Song Lindstrøm- Little Drummer Boy William Bell-Every Day Will Be a Holiday Belle and Sebastian- O Come, O Come Emmanuel The Staple Singers- Who Took the Merry Out of Christmas? The Watersons-Sound, Sound Your Instruments of Joy Eartha Kitt-Santa Baby Otis Redding-White Christmas The Pretenders-2000 Miles Bob Seger and the Last Heard-Sock It to Me Santa Wham!-Last Christmas Darlene Love-Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) Wizzard- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday Slade-Merry Xmas Everybody Donny Hathaway-This Christmas Tom Waits-Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis Marvin Gaye-Purple Snowflakes The Waitresses-Christmas Wrapping Low-Just Like Christmas The Pogues-Fairytale of New York Mariah Carey-All I Want for Christmas Is You Click the link below to download the songs. https://www.studydriller.com/christmas-songs/

Solacemk:You most definitely have a mental problem! Who ever gets to the top without trails and persistence. I've been blogging for two years and the first 18 months of my blogging career i can swear on my life that i never made a dime. But today i can comfortably boast of 800- 1200 USD every month. It's small but compare that to what an average civil servant in Nigeria earns! Truth be told blogging is tough and never blog for adsense. Find other creative ways to make money from your blog. Sorry if i've insulted you the way i started, It's meant to make you sit up.! |
