ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT AWARDS MORE ROADS CONTRACTS

In furtherance of making driving around Anambra State pleasurable, Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the award of roads construction in various parts of the state.

The roads include the Ezira-Umuomaku -Enugwu Umuonyia-Achina road, 12.5km long and 8m wide, awarded to Tamad Construction Ltd at the cost of N4,682,184,235.18 (four billion, six hundred and eighty two million, one hundred and eighty four thousand, two hundred and thirty five naira, eighteen kobo). The road will be completed in 12 months.

Construction of Ozubulu-Ihembosi-Ukpor road also got ANSEC’s nod to be awarded and commenced. Measuring 6.05km and 10m wide, the work has been awarded to Wakema Construction Company Ltd at the cost of N3,987,262,169.56 (three billion, nine hundred and eighty seven million, two hundred sixty two, one hundred and sixty nine naira, fifty six kobo). Wakema is expected to finish the job in 8 months.

Revalidated and awarded is Ukpor-Umunuko-Nza Ozubulu road at the cost of N1,207,693,184.13 (one billion, two hundred and seven million, six hundred and ninety-three thousand, one hundred and eighty four naira, thirteen kobo and the job will be done by Messrs IDC Construction Nig Ltd.

The subsisting contract for the Okpunoeze-Nnewi Hotel road, Nnewi was also revalidated and approved by ANSEC at the sum of N1,747,577,114.00. (One billion, seven hundred and forty seven million, five hundred and seventy seven thousand, one hundred and forteen naira). The contract will be executed by Benejaf.

The Auction and public bid for different revenue streams for the Anambra State government is currently ongoing in Awka, Anambra State capital.

The bidding is for statewide public toilet maintenance fees and statewide veterinary and abattoir inspection fees.

Others are for gaming and lotto fee collection, statewide car wash fees, and designation of park and pay centres in urban areas, and tolls collection.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, is present at the event holding at the Conference Hall of the Secretary to State Government, Government House, Awka.

Governor Soludo, who expressed determination to ensure transparency in the process, said his administration is determined to mobilize resources to work for the good of Ndi Anambra and residents of the state.

Officials of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, AIRS, among others, are also present at the event that attracted various bidding firms.

Government is working and functional and projects ongoing everywhere in Anambra unlike the backward useless worthless shithole imo state that's presently on autopilot because governor Uzodinma has been living in Abuja for the past 1yr because of insecurity in imo state.

Mr. Mark Okoye, reiterated the agency's commitment to see AMC become a reference project not only within the southeast but in Nigeria and Africa.

Mr. Clem Nwogbo was receptive to the visiting team and in the company of the Project Manager and other members of the AMC management team, walked through the milestones achieved and works in progress while highlighting opportunities for high returns on investments. He further emphasized that AMC was ready for building construction as massive edifices have started springing up while AMC 2 is already on stream and open for subscription, not to forget that the construction for the Millennium Court which is being subscribed has commenced and very soon, the Ijele and Odogwu prototype homes were going to be commissioned as works are almost done with the first batch of the homes.
