This has gotta be one of the greatest insult on Nigerians ever! How foolish do these guys actually think Nigerians are?? How in seven hells would they try to justify their gargantuan pay by doing a simple comparism with what their counterparts in other countries take, countries that are light years ahead of us in terms of development.

Now, for those of us that refuse to be deceived by this shameful "disclosure", here's what we demand they do if truly they want us to see what "peanuts" they earn:

1. What is the percentage of their total expenditure to our GDP and what is that of their counterparts in the countries stated??

2. What is the per capita income of those countries as compared to Nigeria's?? Is their pay justifiable on this basis??

3. What is the percentage of their take home to our GNP in comparism to that of their counterparts in the countries listed??

4. What is the percentage of their annual take home to the annual take home of a minimum wage earner, and how does that compare with those of their counterparts in the countries quoted??

5. What is the actual man hours contributed by the congressmen in a legislative calender compared to that of our "honourables"?? Is the pay of our legislators justifiable on the backdrop of their productivity??

It is only when these figures are presented and analysed that one could be better informed as to the propriety or otherwise of the size of their income.
this is insightful, they should answer the above questions.... Enough of being deceived......

figures can be used to LIE to any one but when you subject it to statistics and correlation plus comparism, the truth unfolds....

Bill Murray has this to say

"So, when we LIE to Government, it is called FELONY, BUT when they LIE to us it is called Politics"

Today rained cat and dog in lagos, and ikeja (computer village) which happened to be the centre of lagos! The biggest area of commercial activities was all flooded to the extent that both male and females had to pull out their footwears to "swim" those floods, I and my friend aint exempted in this terrible experience as we had to pull off the shoes to start moving inside dirty ikeja water which only God knows the direction it was flowing from..

Around Opebi bridge if you know computer village very well, you will notice some guys hang around their shouting and selling all manner of things, majority of them are into Tatooing and Pink lips. They hold a small container/bottle containing a pink colour gel telling you is for pink lips nd all.. I have been seeing them their ever since the tatoo and pink lips activity came to nigeria lagos.

So today my friend decided to patronise them as he wanted to feel among the pink lips league, he approached one of them, and asked him how much is the pink lips cream, the guy said "1500" and he priced "1000 naira" the guy quicly agreed and gave him the small pet container and collected 1k.I was just asking him, how sure is he this gon work, the guy selling the stuff showed us his own lips which was fairly pink, but in my mind I never believed all these guys. On our way home, I asked him to bring the container, I would love reading it and all! Because I have the idea that honey, sugar etc are part of the ingredients for the pink lips cream, only for me not to see any label on the container,I opened it to inhale/smell it.. It was smelling like a cream I was familiar with.. I told him this is fake and not real,he doubted.. I was really cracking my head to remember the name of the cream that smells same way! Later on I found out it was the popular cream " CARO WHITE" yes! It is caro white whitening cream been sold for 200hundred naira or so. To elaborate and clear his doubt we went to a shop got caro White cream, percieved the odour and it was all same both colour, and smell!

My guy was devasted! This is real my people! These ikeja boys can sell anything just to make money and earn daily living!

I thankGod today was an Eye opener! So many people have been falling victim of this! BEWARE!

Goodnight
Whao.... I was in Lagos last week Wednesday and A guy advertized the pink lip thing to me...

I quickly remembered the lessons I learnt in Mushin During my I.T which is face where you are going irregardless of what the next guy is saying...

That lesson nearly cost me my phone though....

So take care next time.

The above is interesting. An Ibo minister resigns 12 hours to a coup which killed other regional leaders

EVen the coup plotters(mostly Ibos) who were killing everyone went to Jaja's house, saw him and declared their solidarity to him

Does anyone still have a doubt that the coup was an ethnic coup to wipe out other regions?
Here you go again.....

when the Ethiopian Emperor appealed to him
kneeling down, he vehemently rejected and Togo

democratically elected leader will serve as patting them on the back for the wrong they've done while will encourage that act in other places... (he was only prophesying about the wave of Coups that was to blow around Africa).

[12] He also spoke against the use of Infant or Child soldiers by Ojukwu and he landed in Jail for that until Nigerian forces came to rescue him.

I like your post, i had to build confidence on the job No: 4,
while also learning what I also have passion for.

bamasite:
Op this is a very nice post and the type of posts we need on the front pages. The issue with most of the graduates is that we all want white collar jobs forgetting the following points:
1.It is more difficult to be very wealthy and live the life you desire working for someone.
2. Every year hundreds of thousands of people graduate in this country with various degrees. Degrees are now so abundant in this country that only your creativity makes you stand out. We need to develop ourselves beyond the certificates we carry!
3. The company from which you seek a white collar job was once a startup. Everything is difficult before it becomes easy. Be willing to start up something you believe in!
4.By looking inwards, you find a treasure you can never find outside.
5. Though betting gives money to some peeps, but it is never a guaranteed form of hustling because it makes you depend on luck. You create your own good luck in life through Actions and Working Smart. Am not discouraging those doing it because it has become a big Industry and many people get paid fairly regularly through it, but the fact remains that it is not reliable. And statistics show that no matter the size of their earnings, winners of lottery and other gambling ventures will always return to square one
6. No matter the amount you have, you need to develop money management skills. Sometimes, it is not the amount you earn, but financial intelligence.
7. We need to stay motivated to succeed by listening to motivational audio books or reading motivational books. This books inspire you to stay positive and keep on keeping on as well as acquire financial intelligence and self descipline. Talking about motivational books, am not talking about books like The 48 laws of power by Robert Greene. No. Those are not motivational books that will drive you to success as a young man or woman. You need to filter through. Refer to this list:
A. Think and grow rich by napoleon hill
B.The richest man in Babylon by George S Clason
C.No excuses: the power of self discipline by Brian Tracy
D.The road to Riches, 13 keys to success by Napoleon Hill
E.Secrets of the millionaire mind by T HaMandino
F.The success system that never fails by W Clement Stone
G.The greatest sales man in the world by OG Mandino
H.Success through a positive mental attitude by Napoleon Hill and W Clement Stone.
And many others.
It is surprising how our graduates these days are so LAZY to read. When you offer them a material to read, they tell you they are so busy. LOL. Anyway, bamatronic solutions has a solution to the problem. There is a DVD called LIFE'S ANTIDOTE selling on Dealdey and Jumia right now. It has all the motivational books you need to succeed in both eBook format and audio so that you can listen to it even if you are doing something else and read the ebooks when you have chance! It has all the books listed above and many more. There is a special whatsapp group for people with like minds as well as many bonuses worth hundreds of dollars(some of the bonus trainings sell for as much as $2,500!!!!).Bonuses are for only valid purchases.

PoliticsRe: Jaja Nwachukwu - Nigeria's First Minister Of Aviation by Oyedey4u(m): 11:56pm On Oct 07, 2015
This is an Example of a YOUNG LEADER....
I am No LONGER A LEADER OF TOMORROW enough of the brainwashing..

[1] This tragedy makes me really miss this gentleman Jaja Nwachukwu, Nigeria's first ever
aviation minister who was in office between 1965
and 1966

[2] Most of the aviation laws in Nigeria today still
bear his signature. It was he who initiated training programmes for Nigeria's first crop of flight and
ground officers and the Aviation Training Centre,
Zaria was established during his tenure.

[3] Jaja's visionary and upright zeal did not go well with his party, the NCNC - a party which saw Mr Blankson, Nigerian Airways board chairman and also the party's Central Working Committee
chairman, as representing its interest in the spoils
system.

[4] Jaja Nwachukwu fired and removed Blankson
who felt himself beyond ministerial control and the NCNC demanded his reinstatement, threatening that otherwise, it would withdraw its Ministers from the coalition government.

[5] Tafawa Balewa, who had high respect and a soft spot for Jaja pleaded with him to reinstate Blankson and accept another Ministry but Nwachukwu refused.

[6] Balewa even asked his wife Rhoda Nwachukwu to plead with him, yet Jaja refused and tendered his resignation from parliament and as an executive member of government at midday on January 14, 1966.

[7] Balewa was yet to accept Nwachukwu's resignation when the army struck by midnight
barely 12 hours later.

[8] When the coupists came to Nwachukwu's
official residence, at 7, Okotie-Eboh Street Ikoyi, he
looked through the window and asked the
soldiers: "What are you boys doing here?" One of the soldiers replied: "Good morning, sir. But haven't you heard what is happening in the country?" To which he replied: "Yes. I know you boys have taken over the government." and the soldier said:
"Do not be afraid, sir. We have come to protect you for being an honest government minister."

[9] Jaja Nwachukwu was also Nigeria's first speaker of the house of representatives, our first foreign minister and our first ever permanent
representative to the United Nations

[10] There is no way he would have ever tolerated airlines cutting corners. No aviation minister has ever measured up to him since.

On the media he has done very well. I am yet to see the impact of the good job done. Rice, the most common staple food in the country is still being imported.
May be you've not been noticing something.... That when any increase in Dollar to Naira exchange rate, Rice price in market also shoots up....

Maybe you've not noticed it also that the price of Rice use to be higher than that of Brown beans in the market... Enter the Market today and confirm for yourself that the price of brown beans is now higher than rice....

May be you thought it was propaganda when before election he was saying #sir_Jonathan on confirming from him that something can be done to boost local production cancelled all requests for importation of rice.....

Maybe you also don't know that the price of rice has remained stable for a long time now in Market......

PoliticsJonathan ‘ll Restructure Nigeria through Confab Report implementation by Oyedey4u(op):
The Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has urged Nigerians, particularly the Yoruba Nation to support the re- election of President Goodluck Jonathan, saying the president will re-structure Nigeria through the implementation of the National Conference recommendations if re-elected. He stated this yesterday at the Post-National Conference Summit convened by the Ondo State government for South-west states, tagged “The National Conference, 2015 Elections and the Yoruba Nation”, held in Akure, the state capital. Mimiko said he purposely convened the summit to serve as a reminder to Nigerians, saying the Yorubas should put the implementation of the confab report above any political affiliation.

Mimiko noted that the change that the country needs at present is the proper restructuring of the country which the conference had provided a veritable platform for. He said, “I also called this summit as a sanity check for the Yoruba nation.

Do we know the critical issues involved in the Jonathan project? I deliberately invited those of you who have expressed their views on the confab. Shouldn’t the Yoruba put this in the forefront of their political engagements this season?

We should sit back and define the type of change that we want. I want a change but the type of change I want is a change in the constitution of Nigeria. “I want a constitution that will devolve
power to the states, a constitution that will give us power of autonomy and resources to succeed and a change that will allow we Yorubas to develop our land by ourselves. I have no doubt in my mind that those who are in the other political party cannot support this type of change because they have gone against the conference earlier.

“We are concerned about the future of this country; the future of the Yoruba nation can only stand if there is proper restructuring of our nation. I will like to commend President Goodluck Jonathan for listening for the yearning of Nigerians by convening the National Conference. If there is any group in this country that championed the Confab, it is the Yoruba. We as spectators wondered how over 500 delegates of different persuasions could come up with 600 resolutions by consensus.

It is the work of elders like Chief Ayo Adebanjo who worked to ensure that they emphasised what will unite us as a nation”. “The future of this country particularly the Yoruba Nation depends on the proper restructuring of the country
which the conference has provided a veritable platform for. The change I want is the change in our constitution which our leaders have been yearning for. As a people, we must do everything humanly possible to make sure that the resolutions of that conference are implemented”. Earlier in his opening remark, a chieftain of Afenifere group and chairman of the occasion, Chief Ayo Adebanjo
expressed displeasure over the set of invitees that attended the Summit, saying the summit seemed to be dominated by PDP members.

Adebanjo said, “The summit ought to have held some months back to give our report to the people who sent us to the conference. It is the importance of this that made me attend and accept to be the chairman. My observation here is that the summit seems to be dominated by the PDP. This is no PDP show because all the PDP candidates are here in the summit.

The summit should be more important than a PDP affair. If you are convening something like this in future, give the impression that we are doing it
on non-partisan basis”. While reading the communique to
reporters after the submit, Adebanjo
said the gathering had resolved to fully back and work for the re-election of
President Goodluck Jonathan in the
Presidential election, adding that he is the only one that can guarantee the implementation of the Confab recommendations.

The communique, signed by 10
attendees including Mimiko, Dr Fedrick Fasehun, coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams among others, also said the Yoruba
Nation is going to work assiduously to ensure that the confab
recommendations get translated to
concrete realities. The communique said that the profound recommendation of the confab that each of the existing six geopolitical zones be equally divided into nine states agrees with the Yoruba core values in which equity is ranked very high. It noted that other profound
recommendations of the confab
particularly those that touch on
devolution of powers, creation of states and community police services, making prisons service a concurrent matter, allowing each state to have its constitution, decentralisation of powers over the establishment and
management of railways, sea ports,
airports and development of solid
minerals are central to the core interest of the Yoruba.

Nairaland GeneralAngry Indian Bride Marries Wedding Guest by Oyedey4u(op): 11:33pm On Feb 19, 2015
An Indian bride has married a guest at her wedding after her groom-to-be had a seizure and collapsed.

Reports said the groom, Jugal Kishore, was epileptic and he had kept the information from the bride, Indira, and her family. While Mr Kishore was taken to hospital, the angry bride decided to switch husbands. She asked a member of her brother-in-law's family, who was a guest, to step in and marry her instead. He agreed.

The incident took place in Rampur town in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. According to a report in The Times of India, Mr Kishore, 25, fell to the ground in front of the wedding guests just as he was reaching out to garland Indira. On his return from the hospital, Mr Kishore pleaded with Indira to change her mind, telling her that he would be ridiculed by friends and relatives if he went home without a bride, but she refused.!

Local police official Ram Khiladi Solanki told the BBC that Mr Kishore and his family were initially upset and lodged a complaint with the police. "But since the bride is already married now, what can anyone do? So the families have resolved the matter and the complaint has been withdrawn," he
added.

I am from the south-south but have lived in d north for 18yrs,in dis part of d country these kind of things are common and are not hidden, and once a presidential candidate emerged from the north with his opponent from the south, even the so called opposition party faithful will root for their northern brother, and u expect me to vote a northerner as President.

If this allegation is true, it means that INEC was compromised ab initio. Is federal character principle at work here? Must they cheat in everything? Just like the cut off mark for entry to unity school for some southern states is about 75% but some states in the North only need about 15%. Does that same principle apply to age eligibility for voters registration?

Someone who has more facts on this issue should please enlighten us.
i'm in Jigawa state presently and my fellow batch A corp member in TURABU claimed they were compelled to register small children for the election.....
That is absurd... Their PVC is also ready for collection.....

Politics2015 Elections: A Sure Agenda by Oyedey4u(op): 10:25pm On Feb 05, 2015
by Sijuade David Ade-Yeye

Sure Agenda!
Proverbs 21:1-3 KJV
"The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord , as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice."

Whoever wins the presidential election I will give my support and prayer. Whatever the agenda the person has, whether 7 point, Islamic, Ocultic.

whatever. One thing I know is this:

Proverbs 19:21 KJV
"There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord , that shall stand."

It is when a man has life that he devises and
actualises 7-point agenda. Let's leave everything to God and desist from all these campaign of calumny and denigration.

Vote your choice candidates and go and rest.
There's life beyond 2015. It is well wit you, me, and our dear country Nigeria.

Abegiiiiiii

Stop telling us "youths" are saying no to election violence, that they are not selling their votes........you and I know that the "youths" in question are the guys with dreadlocks on your street from Dec 1st to
31st of every year, collecting #50 naira from everypassenger bus that passes in the name of "street youth carnival".

These guys are absent or truants on social media, can't even listen to news for 1 minute nor read a page of the newspaper ......except a little of CompleteSport. They don't even know what it means to be "unemployed"........'cause they only see the
need for how to get the next wrap of hemp and of course packet of condom......that litters a typical Lagos Street,

Give 'em little cash and they are on their way on an errand....to hell.....for any politician. This typical Nigerian youth I'm talking about
naturally believes ......it's impossible to be rich and clean, ......a man can't be faithful to his wife, and many other funny conclusions. So, when next you are about saying the youths are rising up and saying no to corruption.........do well to add an adjective. I'm not trying to be pessimistic..........but simply realistic. Pls corrected me if I'm wrong. #BUT .....I know you and I can't be used for the next election violence.....we are too purposeful than that.

How much is worth #YOU? I believe in a new Nigeria........but beyond that......in a
new earth and a new government.

what is the soure.... This man has spoken in the interest of Peace and Unity... We have a blue print of it in the First 6 years of Jonathan...
You never allowed him to rest or think of development without hearing another bomb had blasted.....

Incase #GMB wins and the south takes a replica of what your #kinsmen are doing in the North..... That will amount to jungle justice.....

In both case, #GEJ has performed very low on my grading, but I don't also see #GMB being successful in that seat. It takes a people to make a policy work...

Since the time #Businessday published how much each of our public office holders are earning, I have always seen beyond the man in any campaign... Each just trying to be the one who will be receiving the cake....

Also, since those who destroyed the present government had simply migrated to the #Opposition party to carry another theme for people to accept them, I deliberately lowered my expectations from the #GMB class even if they unseat the present #Govt......

In short, thank God I am not going to VOTE... Cos i will be among the umpires.... I would rather vote for KOWA party......

#Until the Youths come to their senses....
we need not wait for another man to bring us change. We are the change we need.....

Can any of you this mods bring this to the frontpage so that We may have a nice discourse between Pro Jonathan and Anti Buhari forces of Youths....
We are being brainwashed that the older is better than the younger...

From other sources I went to, the article is not a new lie... It is an old lie... So come and counter this lie o.... The Lie about the Lagos MetroRail has not been countered yet though i went on FACTCHECKI.ng to ask for the truth....

HolyHolla:
---------
CHIEF RICHARD AKINJIDE SAN IN AN INTERVIEW...
"IN THE EVENT FORMER HEAD OF STATE, GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI, EMERGES AS APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, DO YOU SEE HIM DEFEATING PRESIDENT JONATHAN IN 2015?
If Buhari standsfor any election 10 times, he will lose.
WHY?
He hasn’t got the electoral advantage to win an election. He has done a lot of things in the past, which shows that he hasn’t got democratic norms. For instance, the government of Lagos Statewas to do the railway system and we know what he did about it. Nigeria has one of the worst railway systemsin Africa today. Lagos State was going to do water system; he (Buhari) cancelled it. He even cancelled the railway system (metroline) in Lagos State.
The railway system was approved by Shehu Shagari and the agreement was vetted by me as the Attorney-General and Lagos State deposited $50 million to a French company, which they forfeited and then they were asked to pay damages again in arbitration. Buhari was told that and he didn’t care. His belief was that South would be better developed than the North. Anybody who thinks like that is not worthy of being President of this country. That is one of the reasonshe has no political advantage for any political party. We all know what he did about human rights abuses. He imprisoned many political leaders."
If APC has no other option than this one, i'm afraid there is bound to be no change...

PoliticsFactchecki.ng: My Submission About Lagos Metrorail Line That Was Suspended by Oyedey4u(op): 8:28pm On Jan 02, 2015
In order to counter any lies and rumour that may be peddled about the People's General, FactChecki.ng was opened. Below is my submission on that website.
When I was working as an I.T student in Nigeria Railway Corporation in 2012. my boss briefed me about the Lagos Metro rail line. He told me the level work got to before the military sacked the then Politicians and how the project was stopped. He said the places where refuse are being dumped are part of the holes already dugged, and that the Oshodi office of waste management is supposed to be a major station of the Metroline. He went further to tell me that Nigerian Government was sued by the company and they paid in excess of $500million for terminating the contract that requires about $60 million or $600 million (I'm not sure) to complete.
I heard recently that it was during the General's reign as president that all this happened, and that he has a hand in it.
I will like to know the role that the General took in the contract cancellation and payment of a settlement fee to the company.

I will be expecting your reply.

Thanks
Ade
Please I will want anybody who has the correct information to answer the Question too.

Pls Dont attack me. cool cool undecided

Please don't push government responsibility to the people.

IF I provide power for my bussines- Generator
IF I provide extra security for my bussines
IF I provide water for my bussines
IF I provide basic amenities for thesame bussines

Then whats the function of the government. Businesses will surely transfer these cost to the consumer to stay afloat.

Yet we pay TAX and Revenue to the same government.
Yes we pay taxes.. And there is no effective taxation in Nigeria. That is why they are doing what they are doing.. And if you charge the cost to consumers, will they not pay, if they stop paying, that means your service was not meant for them initially.

My simple advise is #WAKE_Up.
Don't expect anything called best from the GOVERNMENT.

If I’m voted into power within
the next four years, the issue of power will
become a thing of the past. Four years is

anything even if I am there for the next four
years.”-GEJ 2011
Yes, He has made the little progress he can make (NIPP are fully Constructed). But, have you been in a government establishment before...?
You know all the bottlenecks that surrounds government doing business..

That MEANS government cannot provide you what you fully want.
businesses knows they won't make profit if they don't produce or offer good service to customers... But your brothers, sisters and daddies and Mummies in Govt Establishments knows that their salary MUST enter either they make sure approval is given for them to purchase a needed raw material or not......

#WAKE UP MY PEOPLE......

What pains me most is that THE SAME PEOPLE will change badge and clothing and stand as OPPOSITION Promising HEAVEN that things will get better when the ECONOMICS of the WORLD ECONOMY is blinking boldly that SOCIAL SECURITY services you see in developed nations are not #SUSTAINABLE in this #GENERATION....

Oyedey4u:
Maybe some us (NIGERIANS) needs to study ECONOMICS... That will help us to understand the Economy of Nations...
That will also help us to understand the cheap lies of the oPposition led parties on the state of the ruling government. Only in Nigeria have I seen that the OPPOSITION doesn't see anything good in EVERY ACTION taken by the ruling Government...

FOR YOUR INFORMATION....
You are on your OWN since time immemorial... So look for what thing you can do, (service you can render inyour community, that will earn you a living) to improve your life.....
REASON is--- study this topics in ECONOMICS-- National Income, you have GDP, GNI, NNP, GNP and all others under it.
When the Economic calculations says the country is doing well, the masses may not see it at all, yet it is the buying, selling and consumption of the masses that gave birth to the data that shows positive growth... In other words... Those increases and improvements show BIG opportunities...

ACTION::
Stop complaining, SIT DOWN and THINK about how this portrayed growth will bring growth to my own pocket or business... Think about how to improve your present product or business or how to start a new service...

You will be surprised that in years to come, this WOMAN you are all abusing will be called back to serve as a minister of Finance and Economic Coordinator AGAIN (if Jesus Tarries)...

Did I hear you say WHY...? (they are Experts in their field)-- the best of Politician knows who to bring in and when..

Then think of Professor Jerry Gana and all the military head of states he served under plus even our democratic era.
[
FOR HOW LONG. Didn't we hear this during OBJ regime?
At the end the Government will blame NIGERIANS and the Opposition for their failures..
FOR as LONG as WE BEGIN to #take_Responsibility for our well being and stop depending on GOVERNment
Madam Ngozi, let me give you and your fellow liers who think Nigerians are fooool my two cent; And is just simple, you said when the economy crumbled in 2007 N 2008 there was over. $30b was in the excess crude account which was available for spending.. My thought is now that this govt has ransacked that account with less than $2b left, which money will your govt be spending this time that a 2007 2008 financial dejavu is iminent.. Pls be honest and stop foooling us some more madm.
Pls we are in the age of INTERNET where all reports are gotten at the snap of the finger.. So check your data well.. $2b for where... I am surprised you can believe this VERY cheap lie from whatever source or maybe OPPOSITION..
If that were true, you will not be in your home or where you are now typing what you have typed...
You will probably be in a public square for #OCCUPY_Rebranded protest demanding for the RESIGNATION of all of our leaders for MASS failure....
